Gladiator was definitely powerful. I don't think I've ever hated a villian as much as I did the Prince-King in that one. |

Crescent Shield. Vocalist Michael Grant is one of the finest out there right now. He will be a legend given a few years. He was also a part of shredder Toby Knapp's short lived Onward, which is even better than Crescent Shield if you ask me. Crazier with the guitars and stuff (no surprise, just check out Toby Knapp's skills), sadly they only released three albums and are now done for. Listen to "Wizard Archer". Its up there with Paul Gilbert/Jason Becker/Marty Friedman stuff. Now, imagine Onward. Three full length albums with nothing but crazy rhythm's and shredding by that guy. Makes my pants explode. Cage. Newest album just came out and its incredible, listen to HELL DESTROYER. It does destroy hell, holy shittles I'm loving them. Their style is in the vein of Iced Earth's Stormrider material. Dark thrashy power metal! Interesting note, all of these guys pretty much came out of nowhere too. They've got four albums out but they haven't been a part of other bands or anything, just crazy. And Kill the Devil? Hah, I doupt they're Christian, but I love their lyrics. TP: I use eMule to download everything (50 gigs worth now ... ), and usually I use the metal-archives band pages to follow band members to other bands and stuff. This usually works in discovering some new stuff, sometimes. Also posting on some random metal boards from time to time and asking for recommendations really works.

Its just ... that. That's what bugs me about all this, I just don't know what to expect now. Rumors are going around that Arnold might be in the background and help out with the projects as well, though I don't think that's officially confirmed. Its probably no surprise if he doesn't return to uprise his role once again because of his age, physical self, etc. But yeah. James Cameron would be great. But we can dream. I hate to be pretty blunt about this, but she may just be the one missing out in the end here. Its funny because the situation you describe perfectly matches something one of my best friends went through a few months back. Him and a co-worker started getting pretty close, and when you think its all set in stone her (abusive, verbally, physically, everything) ex came back and wanted her back too. From here, she pretty much threw my friend away and went back to her ex. For awhile I think my friend was pretty down about it, but he got over it pretty well. And guess what happened to her? I think it was maybe only 2 months max, but they broke up. So she pretty much lost her chance with my friend and screwed herself over in the end. They're back to being friends after a few months of not talking or so, but my friend wants nothing more than a friendship with her now.

The odd thing is when people are in abusive relationships they could end up thinking its normal and fine. So maybe you should really talk to her about that. So, I'd say you either: - Flat out tell her you're not going to let her go, because chances are they could get back together and the next thing you know they break up. So its as if it were all completely pointless. - Or, just try to move on. But, this is all coming from someone who's never been in a relationship like this. So ...
I just felt obligated to reply since pretty much the same exact thing happened to my friend and it didn't turn out too well in the end.
