| I'm looking for an old NES, perferrably one that doesn't work (or if anyone has a spare one lying around). I wanna rip it apart and put my old PC in there. I've seen it done before, and it'd look really neat, I think.

| I used to have one.. but I think my mom gave it to goodwill a few years back. Also you might have to mod/build your own case that is a replica of the old NES's. The original might not be big enough...
But dont take me seriously, I havnt seen an original one in quite a while... so yea.. good luck. |

| To everyone: You should look around Pawn Shops, and local gaming / collectibles stores for old consoles. I'd also recommend Amazon, but I'm more than sure this kind of stuff would probably go for a lot there.
I remember years ago I got a Dreamcast, 2 controllers, a few games, a memory card, all for a little under $40. Then I bought a Sega Genesis (perfectly, and the 2nd version ... one with the buttons and not the switch) for $15. Anyways, if you have good stores around or can look good enough, you can probably also find new 3rd party NES's out there. Since the NES has been out of production for so long, it's legal for companies to make their own versions now. And as for Super Famicom's, are you guys talking "literally" (as in Japanese, PAL SNES)? Or just mentioning the SNES? Either way, SNES's seem to be hard to find and expensive these days. I bought my sister one for Christmas, and I believe it was around $40 or so. Just glad I've had two working ones for years and years (mine, and then my grandparents gave me their's). The bad thing is, the 3rd Party NES I bought, just randomly doesn't seem to play Castlevania III, which really pissed me off. And I've seen the official Nintendo top-loading NES's around here, but they go for ... 70 bucks! (Last edited by XeoLord on 04-11-06 11:55 PM) |

The top loading NES is an amazing investment should you ever find one cheap, and the resell value on them are amazing.  |

| Yeah, and I'm sure they work a lot better than the first American NES console.
I remember mine got so bad, I had to clean both the game and the console every time I played a game with a cleaning kit. Then again maybe I just played too much back then.  |

Speaking of remodeled systems, anyone ever see the horrible SNES 2?
I'm pretty sure it was missing something like a slot for the RF adapter or something, so you had to plug it directly to the Cable / TV, or it was vice versa? Either way I didn't like it.  |
