You have a Qbasic class? How much of Qbasic is there to teach? It's the simplest, yet oddly powerful, programming environment there is. I started on QBasic way back in the late 80s, and somewhat in the mid-90s.

My high school offers only two computer programming courses, QBASIC and C ++

QBASIC is split into two parts. Its really geared towards the nubbie nub-tards who need a whole year to learn everything about it. I could learn QBASIC in a couple of weeks, its not a hard or challenging language.

How is it oddly powerful?

I once took an afternoon to create a 3D gaming engine. And, while it was quite difficult, it did work, and I was able to code out a very small rip-off of Doom.

played the GL version of Doom 2? You can actually AIM at monsters above you and stuff...its better than the origional doom...

It's missing one song though, that I deleted years ago afraid that my parents might hear it. It was just some song that had possibly Tobios (vocals) and some girl having sex or something.

So, unless you enjoy listening to goofy moans, I'm sure you won't really care.
