I just saw this movie yesterday at a friends, and my pants exploded.

This movie is easily one of the best martial arts movies I've seen in a long time, but heck, it's one of THEE best I've ever seen and one of the best movies I've seen in awhile. This is the type of movie that will make you shout "Ahhh, Ughhhhh, Yikes!", and will make you cringe.

Tony Jaa is like no other. Think of Jackie Chan, but with more power behind him and a more furious attitude like Bruce Lee and some seriously scary "elbow attacking" tactics, and you've got Tony Jaa.

This movie gets my ultimate and highest recommendation to any kind of movie goer. I'd give it a 4.5 out of 5.

I'm really looking forward to future Tony Jaa movies, this guy is just freaking insane.

I got the chance to watch Ong-Bak quite a while ago. It is an awesome show. Lots of great stunts (flips, sliding backwards under stuff, etc), great fight scenes and some awesome and of course totally painful looking, fighting moves.

Spoiler:
The guy in the "fight club" who was using just everything as a weapon (fridge for example) was pretty funny. Could take a pretty good beating too. Oh, and since this is in a spoiler, I'm going to use fowl language! ... Cock!

Alltogether this is a good show. Definately worth a watch.

Heh:
Spoiler:
Yeah that guy just pissed me off, being so cheap like that. But it was still funny, and freaking scary seeing Ting break about everything that was thrown at him with his rock elbows.

Some of the stuff in this movie was just hilarious, when people got hit "through" stuff it just looked amazing. Remember the end when Ting did that knee bomb thing and drilled that guy into the ground? We watched that part like 5 times. XD

Then the part when he took that guys knee ... jumped up, and SNAP! Good lord that made me scream.

Yeah, probably one of the scariest and most painfully awesome movies I've ever seen.

And just a note to everyone else, this is a much more realistic movie, compared to say House of the Flying Daggers, etc. Nothing like that in this.

I had the opportunity to see it a few times, but business got in the way.

I heard it was a response to all of the exaggerated wire-choreographed films out there. Granted there are a ridiculous number of them, but it is refreshing to see a film that's all about raw prowess and not movie magic.

I've really been looking forward to it.

I'm surprised I've never heard of this. Very surprised. I may not have watched TV in a long time, but I think I would have overheard somebody mention it. Is this a movie out in theaters or something made for TV?

Cyro and DS_Master --

Yeah, I didn't even hear about this movie until maybe a week ago. I guess it hit theaters last summer, but it was just one of those underground movies or something. And so, it just recently came out on DVD (so it's pretty new).

Rogue --

Yeah, let's just hope we start seeing more of this stuff, rather than those fancy jumping off-walls movies.
(Hero, House of the Flying Daggers, etc. Those movies were just medicore in my opinion, but movies like Ong Bak and Bruce Lee stuff are excellent).

I'm surprised I didn't ever mention this.

My friends and I were really into Ong-Bak at around the beginning of the year. I bought the movie from an import store after seeing trailers online for it. It soon became all the rage amongst my friends. (First it was Moonchild, then Shaolin Soccer, then it was Battle Royale, then it was Hero, then it was this.)

The big boot he does at the beginning of one of his first matches is priceless.

Quite possibly the only reason I'd watch this would be for the sheer sexiness of this muscular asian man...and the movie. But mostly the sexiness part.

Hah, that part freaked us all out. It just ... happened. My friends and I were just like "Whoa, what just happened?" Rewinded it and watched it again.

Ong-bak, hmm? Is this a new movie being released, or is it an old film that can be rented? I am intriguied by your commentary on this muscular man who suuposedly has the fury of Bruce Lee. I am amazed.

It's out on DVD and such now, was released a while back, so you can rent it. I suggest that you do. You will be pleased.

Okay, after finally seeing it, I can agree that many of the feats that Jaa pulls off in the movie are spectacular. Absolutely amazing.

My one beef with it, though...

Must they show EVERYTHING he does 3 times over?! I swear if they got rid of all the replays, the movie would be at least 30 minutes shorter. One replay is good and understandable for stunts that are pretty cool, but 3 times on everything? Why?!

Ha, I watched this movie with my dad, and on about the fourth replay he says "They sure like to do those replays, huh?". They basically did a replay for everything.
