| completely understandable Jersey and again I don't mean to pry but if
you're willing to talk and I can be of help I'd like to help. I'm a helpful person... ^__^ Ok. Now I have an overall question that I will tac a warning onto. I will NOT discuss this particular BDSM practice unless I get across to you all that it is very VERY dangerous. The rewards are spectacular and can be very theraputic and less expensive than a psychiatrist but if somethin goes wrong it could cause a LOT of pain and a lot of actually needed therapy and possibly total nervous breakdown. Not trying to scare anyone just explaining that there's some very serious shit going on with some of this stuff. The topic: Edge Play. EDIT: I refuse entirely to discuss this topic at all unless I get at least five but I would prefer ten people saying that they're not going to run off half cocked and possibly seriously damage somebody. | ok I've touched on Edge Play actually by mentioning Humiliation Play. Edge play is, simply put, pushing the edge of someones limits. Physically, mentally, emotionally and psychologically.
An example would be a Sub has a fantasy of being shared by her master, lent out to another man like a piece of property or a toy. It's a sense of complete ownership and surrender to your dominant. It's VERY dangerous. If you're not fully aware as a Dom of your submissives emotions it could cause severe psychological trauma. It could perhaps bring up a very deep rooted phobia or psychological problem that before then hadn't been evident. It doesn't have to be the above scenario either. I will be, in my next post transposing several pages out of "Screw the Roses, Send Me the Thorns," to show the full example. Warning: The section I'm going to transpose is rather vulgar in the words used at times and of a mature nature so anyone not wishing to read something like that should just skip over my next post. I will of course need some sort of filler something from SOMEONE in order to make another post so someone post a question or make a comment if they'd like but keep it on topic please. |

doing a lot of reading and thinking. Side note to all reading this. I've mentioned several times a book titled "Screw the Roses, Send Me the Thorns." I HIGHLY recommend procuring a copy of it for yourself if you're interested in including BDSM practices in your own personal life. It's a very comprehensive and intelligent read. It's also not at all boring to read as some informative books such as that can be. |

| If some want to know more endepth about Edge play and Needle play I'll be happy to explain either in this thred or another. I've been in the role of both Dominate and Submissive in the past to learn which was/is best for me. My Mistress at the time wanted to brand me and gave me the option of, Cut, Tattoo, or Hot Rod Iron brand. But anyways. Things that happened that night can be told at greater length at a later time.
