I have too much time and I love the animes I watch/mangas I read. So far, I've only had contact with Inuyasha and Trigun, and I love both of them. The manga and the show.

I was looking for a new series to start reading (first) and maybe even buy the DVD and watch. Anyone know one that I might like?

Well, I would suggest Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, since you liked Trigun, and Magical Shopping Arcade Abenoboshi, just because it's freaking hilarious.

If you really liked Trigun, and haven't seen Bebop yet, see it. It's definently an anime not to miss out on. (Not the best I'd say, but it is a classic)

Or go with Gungrave. Afterall, it's directed by the same director who worked with Trigun, and I've heard it's even better.

If you want a Pyscholigcal thriller, check out Rahxephon. It's an anime that you may or may not like at first, but when you get farther into you'll just keep on asking questions and want to see more. It's easily one of my favorite movies.

Also, just for the heck of it check out Miyazaki films, like: Princess Mononoke, Nausica: Valley of the Wind, Spirited Away, Castle in the Sky, because no other anime movies compare.

Ah, that's right, I totally forgot about about the masterpeices of Mr. Miyazaki. Those are a must-see for any anime fan. My favorite is probably Princess Mononoke, the one with the most action.

Princess Mononoke kicks ass. Cowboy Bebop is really cool I have the movie and highly recommend the series. You have to see Akira if you haven't seen it. Naruto is good and there are 6 volumes of the Manga available, King of Hell is very good as well.

If I think of anything else I'll post it.

I don't know much about it myself...I've still yet to really look it up...but this anime/manga called "Ayashi no Ceres" is looking pretty good....Kinda reminds me a lot of Fushigi Yuugi...Don't kill me FY fans...**flinches** If I was wrong in that statement, then I appologize. **shrugs** Some people just get pissed when you compare two things that in reality are NOTHING alike...

Well, there is always Magic Knight Rayearth... or Hellsing... both are pretty good. Something tells me you'll really like Hellsing.

I've heard a lot of good stuff about Cowboy BeeBop, so that might be the one I go for first, but I've heard a lot of good stuff about the other ones mentioned too. (some of them I've never heard of though! :/ )

Thanks guys! Oh, I love Inuyasha and Trigun for the humor. I just love the faces and everything. So if you know something like that that I might like, post away.

To me, Naruto seems very much like Trigun at the start, and first handful of episodes, but then it gets much more serious and goes off into it's own little style I'd say.

Kenshin is very much like Trigun, but has a much deeper storyline in the end (Keep in mind I've only read up on the Manga to Volume 8, but I think it probably ends up having a better storyline than Trigun overall. But judging by the Manga, there's also a handful of humor in the series.

Akira is good, just watch it with an open mind. It can scare you.
At first I hated the movie, but then I couldn't stop thinking about it and realized I loved it. (If that makes sense) And it has some of the best art (it's almost 100% drawn, unlike most anime today) in it is incredibly amazing. (The city? Wow)

If you want pure comedy, check out ExcelSaga ... very random, and awesome.

Yes avatar of law bleach freaking owns! and it's quite funny as well you have Kon which is a guy trapped inside of a stuffed teddy bear and he's hillarious. It's just starting to get heated up in the anime now. At first the anime starts off really really slow! but after about 15 episodes it starts kicking major ass!@!

If you need a new anime, I suggest the following:
Love Hina(Anime or Manga - I have a number of the manga)
Fushigi Yuugi (I have the after-series XD)
Outlaw Star (60billion times better then Cowboy Bebop)
Mahoro-Matic (Manga)
Ceres (Awsome anime.)

Hmm... a really random anime could be good. I think I shall read the mangas first, as at my job, I have a LOT of time to kill, so I read books.

Cody, I've also heard a lot of good about Love Hina, perhaps I can come over and steal one. Not this week though, won't have any time to read starting tomorrow.

Well the fact at the beginning it kind of gets really redudant just fighting hollow after hollow but ever since they went into the spirit world its been owning. Since I read the manga this arc will totally rock.

Beet the Vandal Buster is a great new action manga. It has a roleplaying style story and massively powerful villians who are as charming as the ones who had it in for the DBZ world. It could probably go on for a long while being an epic kind of story, and could also spawn videogames and merchandise the instant it becomes somewhat known.

Evo you're into magic and fantasy right? I think Orphen's a manga. I dunno. But that's a good dvd to start with it. It's really neat. I like Orphen a ton. Then there's Gravitation. It's pretty awesome if you like Yaoi.

If you're in a Shoujo mood you shood get Love hina, Fruits Basket, Fushigi Yuugi, or Ceres Celestial Legend. In Fact the last two are by Yu Watase, so they are some good stuff XD. Yu Watase stuff is great for you shoujo people into love triangles and so on.

Spiral's a great mystery one. Sort of like Conan but better.

Then there's Angelic Layer. That's a cute series.... Infact anything by CLAMP is awesome too. Especially X if you're into action X should be in your collection.
