Got this off another place.

Check it out.

Seriously, that's a lot harder than I thought it would be.

... At the moment, the only game I can recongnize is Zelda II, but I do think those purple mountains are from the end of Blaster Master, I'm probably wrong though.

Sadly, I only recognize 4 of the 40 screenshots that are listed. For people who want to see the answers to them, highlight the spoiler below:

Answers to 5, 12, 23, 24:
Spoiler:
5. Mario Bros.
12. Duck Hunt
23. Kirby's Adventure
24. Double Dragon II

I think I recognize a few of the other screenshots but don't remember the titles of the games.

Yeah, I got most of those, except for 24.

I've gotten about 7 now ...

Look at 38 very closely ... *laughs*. That's a weird picture for that game I'd say.

I posted all of my answers I figured out. But for some reason when I try listing them the Spoiler tag wont work...

I got a total of 7 correct, and I used one spoiler, #15 im kicking myself because I thought thats what it was.

I did this back at Retrogaming Roundtable forums, my best score was 28, there were a few that totally threw me off.

I'm a member of their forums yes, but I don't run the site or anything. Ed Oscuro of Castlevania Dungeon and Digital press forums fame, got me into that forum, when I saw they had old school game boards there, I flipped out. I wish I had game collections as big as some of the guys there have, mine's not too bad, but it doesn't compare average game amount wise.

That reminds me I need to post more often there.

Hmm, don't mind me asking, but you think you'd maybe mind making a thread about your collection?

I have quite a bit of games, compared to most of my friends, but honestly I've seen people out theere with collections that make me look like a child.

If I had a job, and more money, I'd probably defininently have a bigger game collection than I currently do, especially with stores selling good Genesis games for like $2.

I can't list every game I have by name but here goes by numbers.

7 GBA
6 GB
74 PSX
15 PS 2
33 NES
23 Genesis
14 SNES
3 Atari 2600 (no longer work I believe)

My collection isn't gaudy in numbers, since I'm picky about buying games, but not so about emulating those same old games. In other words, I don't have a large gaming collection IRL, but man emulation is a different story, it's just too bad I don't have the money for a ton of new games.

Dang, honestly that kind of surprises me Bloodreign.

But I still wouldn't say that's nowhere near a "small" collection.

But yeah, I'm pretty much the same way. I did own 2 NES's (one was for my grandparents house when I was little, they ended up giving it to me) and well they just ended up dying, probably since I played them way too much or something.

So now for NES especially, I just stick to emulation ... and same with GBA games. I have a DS, but I just think 30$ for a brand new GBA game is a little much.

I recently bought a Genesis, and places around me are selling games for cheap, so instead of emulation hopefully I can start building up my real collection.

I support emulation, especially with games like Seiken Densetsu 3 that get translated for some of us to play, but I'd much rather own the real things.

Just like Bloodreign though, if only I had the money.

Yeah, they kind of piss me off ...

I mean I'd go to say I'm a big time gamer, and then when I go up to these and only see maybe a handful or 2 of games that I can recognize, it makes me mad.

Well, I have answered 12 of them correctly so far.

1
4
6
7
11
12
15
17
24
26
38
39
40

Number 1 was an educated lucky guess. I've never even played the game, but I saw a bunch of pictures of it and took my memory from there.

If anyone has played games 6 or 26 you are great. 6 is one of my favorite NES games.

4 was obvioius

7 was easy when I saw the bomb by the sea weed. You guys might fall over when you figure out what it is, but then again there's really no hint in the picture as to what it is.

I thought 9 might have been Mutant League Hockey, but the Mutanta League series didn't come out until Sega

11 was obvious to me, and if you guys think about it, it will be to you as well. Here's a hint: it's at the end of the first level.

12. Meh, took me ages to figure that one out........

15. When DaftPunk mentioned his spoiler guess I went back and after carefully examining it the answer came to me with a smile.

17 Unless you've played at least one game in this series then you may not know. That map shows a level that's on EVERY game of the series. Even the ones with the "special guests".

24 I can give you guys a hint with this one. This game features the characters that are the "special guests" in the series of game number 17.

26 wasn't the best game I've played, bu tit was fun and very mysterious to me. The levels were unique, althought repeated with the landscapes.

38, everyone has seen the series, even if they don't know they have. But the creator did a good job on making this vagues. In fact, I don' t think there's a much to show without giving the game away.

39 was something I recognizes. All too well, It was a game, or rather the 2 one, in which I could not beat the last boss. Back n the day I spent countless houts trying to win the last fight. The damn "thing" kept mutating in to something stronger than the previous "thing" I must've gotten up to about the 7th or 8th form before I couldn't get any further. I never did play the game since then.

40, wasn't a very popular game, and even if you've seen once you may not be able to guess it. It was pretty fun for a while.

Hey, when you're as old as I am you know a lot about the old games. The thing is, i have all 600-soemthing NES games on ROM,

Weird, it must be down I guess. Odd that the SNES one is working though.

I'd say just give it a day or so, maybe it'll be up by then.
