Vans SK8-HI click here

For the upcoming winter season, Vans has hooked up an outdoor version of the Vans SK8-HI Womens. Here we’re seeing three colorways including pine green, mahogany red, and black, all of which are fitted with a rubber coated canvas upper. Meanwhile a combination of nubuck and canvas is applied to each pair’s inner lining. Anchoring each look is a white rubber sole.

Legendary Japanese brand Mastermind and Vans have enjoyed a fruitful long-term partnership. Known for their black-and-white colorblocking/signature skull-and-crossbones motif, Mastermind has lent their instantly recognizable touch to seemingly every silhouette in the extensive tome of Vans SK8-HI click here. Now, the two are joining forces again for a new take on the beloved Vans SK8-HI Mens. The shoe’s standard upper color scheme remains intact, but Mastermind’s added a plentiful helping of alternate details — as both the lateral and medial sides are swathed in an all-over skull print, and the heel features a zipper for easy on/easy off. The lower half adds further to the two-tone contrast, with a stark white toe cap arriving in front of a black midsole that boasts embossed Mastermind text detailing. A white outsole then arrives to complete the look.

There are few collaborative partnerships in the sneaker industry with roots deeper than the pairing of Vans and Taka Hayashi. One an artist who works in mediums from clothing to art, the other a legendary California skate brand that seemingly holds a place in every subculture imaginable, the two have joined forces a whopping 18 times over the course of their partnership. Now the familiar friends are back at it again, releasing new takes on a two-pack of classics: the Vans SK8-HI Best Price and Vans Slip-On. For the main design touch on both shoes Hayashi has taken the classic checkerboard print, enlarged it to make each individual square stand out more, and then offered texture via a woven upper, swapping out the normal printed design for a look that boasts both intricate detailing and a premium feel. Black accents round off both uppers, and each midsole/outsole is dressed in an opaque grey with special detailing towards the heel.
