When you need to have a conversation that you KNOW is going to be unpleasant, how do you handle it/ prepare for it?

Depends on with whom this uncomfortable conversation is going to be. If it's Brandon, I'll just come out with it no matter what at first chance I get. If it's my parents, it also depends on what the conversation will be about and with which parent it's more appropriate to talk on the subject.

Anyone else? Well, I try to figure out what I'm going to say, what they might say, and how I might counter their argument, etc. I hate to just answer, "It all depends," and leave it at that, but the context of the conversation is also important. I mean, am I firing them? Am I doing a one-person intervention? Some things are easier for me to just get in someone's face for than others.

Do you own a copy of your favorite book, and is it worn-out or immaculate?

I try to keep all my books as immaculate as I possibly can, though I don't really have just one favorite book. It is just too hard to choose!

What is your opinion on "pumpkin spiced everything"?

I used to be a huge fan back when the only things were Ralph's chocolate chip pumpkin cookies (which are still extraordinary), but now it's practically bait for "basic bitches." I think I was over it the moment Brandon's mom offered pumpkin cupcakes one Thanksgiving nearly a decade ago, but then his aunt turns to her boyfriend and goes, "Babe, they're copying us!"

There are lots of things pumpkin-spiced that are still great, but for the most part it's a ploy to sell seasonal stuff that often doesn't really carry the flavor much.

What's been the latest song you've listened to over and over or continuously rewatching the music video for?

I haven't really had a video that I have been obsessing over since a lot of my favorite bands don't put out as many... the last video I watched over and over again was "The Red" by Chevelle, though the most recent song obsession has been "My Therapy" from Kamelot.

Do you generally prefer to listen to albums in track order, or to hit shuffle?

I don't typically listen to full albums, especially not these days. In fact I can't remember the last time I listened to a CD. I tend to make playlists of certain songs I want. If, say, I wanted to listen to something off Spotify, I'll just listened to a couple songs that I want to hear off an album and then switch to something else.

Have you ever rooted for the villain when they aren't already the main character [i.e. the story doesn't revolve around an antihero like "The Sopranos," "Dexter," "Boardwalk Empire," "Breaking Bad," etc, but instead is designed to be that asshole destroying the protagonist's life (e.g. Ursula, Claudius, Immortan Joe, etc.]?

I've caught myself rooting for the bad guys in the Avengers movies since I've just come to despise them. And I, of course, cheer for the dinosaurs eating people in the "Jurassic Park" sequels.

Pretty much any movie where the hero is flat, obnoxious, spoiled, or what have you, I end up just wishing the antagonist won. So yeah, I often hope the killer takes everyone out in a lot of slasher/horror films. Granted, I hate watched horror films altogether.

See... I like the Avengers but I still root for Loki... because... well... Loki.

My first fandom... I guess that would probably be Jhonen Vasquez's comics. It started with Johnny the Homicidal Maniac and spread from there. Followed shortly by Harry Potter.

I do, indeed. Picked it up in Downtown Disney. It's all Adventureland-themed stuff with the inside a teal color. Adventureland is and always will be my favorite part of Disneyland. I also love tiki bars and it has Trader Sam's logos on it.

Here's one pic of it:

Here's another:

When I'm staying at my friend's up in the Bay Area, I always use her Shakespearean insults mug.

I have a cruise next month that is keeping spirits moderately high, but also causing some stress because I am having to keep my temper under control to prevent some very awkward tension on the trip.

What headphones do you use?

These bulky ones that belong to my former publisher when I was recording a podcast with him. It goes with a mixing board, microphone, and other things I still haven't given him back (but granted, he hasn't come by to get them since we went on hiatus last year.)

It blends in a little with Egyptian, Roman, and Greece times. I am a huge fan of these eras. Thus one of my friends thinks I'd love The Tutors, Rome, and Game of Thrones haha. I just think it's fascinating stuff, especially the technology they had back then to somehow build pyramids, and colosseum, it just seems absurd how they pulled things like that off. Would I want to live there though? Not sure. I also like stories revolved around the French Revolution.

Did you know One Piece is over 700 episodes now?

Around here? Probably Station Square since you ride one of the old incline cars up to it and can get a great view of Pittsburgh.

An ice cube and some pepper probably. Nothing too fancy I guess. It sounds really good right about now though.

How much sleep do you normally get a night?

I would say I still average about 6 hours a night. I really do need to try and get more sleep though.

Ranch, these days. Caesar above all, if I can get it.

But ranch with Gringo Bandito dumped in it for dipping onion rings? MARVELOUS!!

I miss Gringo Bandito....

Five quirks, eh? Um...

1) I never sleep on my left side.
2) I put as little vodka in my bloody mary as possible
3) If I have to sweeten my coffee or tea, I use honey
4) I will always take salsa over hot sauce when it comes to spicing up my scrambled eggs.
5) I speed talk when I am nervous.

*Pauses to think about what I hate most at the moment*

The feeling of helplessness. My friend did something really stupid yesterday and I don't know how to help make it better. Hell, I can't even get updates on their status.

Salsa or hot sauce?
