I've been failing so hard lately at not spending money that I should really be saving. I get by, sure, but I think the only way I haven't made any really crazy impulse purchases by reminding myself that I REEEEEAALLLLLY need that money for something else that's coming up.

Yeah, not sure otherwise.

It's a deep blue with a dark city scape on it, haha. I love it. I don't drink coffee, but use it for chocolate milk.

Do you like chocolate milk and what's your favorite kind?

Not really... kinda makes me sick... but I always loved YooHoo for some reason. I think I did chocolate almond milk once and it was better... but I pretty much stick to coffee.

insectduel lives!

I grew up with the NES early on, but I guess the first console that was gifted to me as my own was an SNES when Donkey Kong Country came out!

"Fallout 3," probably, with "Bioshock Infinite," "Shadow of the Colossus," "Final Fantasy XII," "Dishonored," and the first "God of War" in close seconds.

And yes, I'm uber-excited about "Fallout 4."

Hmn... well I have two really.

Rosy and I met when a mutual friend introduced us in 7th grade during lunch and it grew overtime to the nerdiest of friendships.

Kaleb (yeah, he's hit best friend status) and I met on my second day of work at Sam's Club... and ironically his birthday I later found out... when he came around the corner by photo on the way to lunch and my coworker Ann called him over to say hi to the new girl. Many cat videos and inappropriate jokes later, and he's become the best friend I've made here and perhaps the best guy friend I've had.

What are your thoughts about the FF7 remake announced at E3?

I'm stoked! I love FF7, it's not my favorite and I find the plot to be very flawed... but it's fun as heck to me, I love the Materia system, and it's one of the FF's I've completed more than a few times.

To me, the gap between the original and this incoming remake is so huge, that this remake will be a pretty different game altogether I'm sure. So that's how I'm approaching it... it's a retelling of the original but will probably be a very different experience. I'm open to that, because in the end, the original is not going anywhere and will still be awesome.

But of course I have a few concerns:
- Hopefully it's dual audio, SE seems to be doing this lately like other devs. Though some of their dubs thesedays are pretty good. It'll just be weird playing FF7 with voices... haha.
- It needs to be turn based, the classic ATB formula. I don't care if this is outdated or JRPG's have tried so hard to move away from this. Lost Odyssey was still a lot of fun and had the traditional formula. Plus changing the battle system would be too big of a change for me, it's critical.

Hmmm, I guess that's it really. I just don't want them to change the battle system much. Turn based is not dead, handhelds and other games here and there have shown that, JRPG's have just tried to avoid it for too long but I hope that's not the case here.

If you watched E3, what was the most exciting announcement to you? Unless it's FF7 Remake haha.

I only really watched Bethesda's announcement panel, but I already knew what they were going to announce since their presentation rehearsal leaked beforehand.

Anyway, I am MASSIVELY excited about "Fallout 4," what with the fact that it's fucking Fallout and there's so much shit you're going to be able to do and see in this game. Once I get back from my trip in September I'm pre-ordering the shit out of the collector's edition for that Pip-Boy. I'll lose the goddamn weight if it doesn't fit.

The other announcement I was crazy thrilled about is "Dishonored 2." Hell yes.

Mostly thanks to Lee... but High Tea. Quite a few friends have been talking about this on and off and I really want to try it at least once.

Side note on E3... the other exciting things were Horizon: Zero Dawn and Shenmue 3.

Well, I've had several pets die on me, and Harrison was sadly never found, though I had panic attacks for years imagining him being harmed or killed.

In most recent years, though, was the time I was petting Miko and found this gash in her side. I screamed and cried and lost my mind, while holding her and sobbing and applying Neosporin to the odd wound. In the morning, walked with her in a carrier to the local vet, who had a deal of first visit being free, sure in my mind that she was dying and this was something serious. They checked her out and said it was healing on its own. I said thanks and gave Miko a can of tuna all to herself when I got home.

(Also, whenever you're in town and you want high tea feel free to hit me up. Depends on how much you want to pay, but it'll be between $22 and $35. 'Less you want to do the Huntington Library, which will cost admission on top of tea.)

Aside from the lure of finally going home to California... I would say maybe Ireland or Canada. Canada has the slight edge because coffee and hockey.

I played violin and piano as a kid, but was never very good and never practiced.

I own a guitar (which is really just one of Brandon's), and can only play the intro to "Nothing Else Matters."

So, in short, no. I can't play any instruments.

I'm surrounded by people who seem to cycle in and out of "severe" depression every other week. Seems like they're just willing to accept this is part of their life and they deal with it their own way, and I just step back until they're willing to emerge and we can continue. It's not that I'm unwilling to be there for them, it's just that in most of the cases I've encountered, their behavior is negative attention-seeking.

There's a genuine cry for help, and then there's just a cry for people to pay attention just because they want to be the center of it all. Munchausen's, anyone?

I guess, to me, people who are truly depressed tend to not acknowledge it so freely on Facebook and other "look at me" media. They hide it or just go off the radar. It's like how people who are crazy don't know they are.

A friend who's depressed needs support, and depression is part of life for all of us at one point or another. Life is suffering, as the Buddha would put it.

So to answer the question, it's a case by case basis. I've known a lot of my occasionally depressed acquaintances long enough to know when it's real or not, most of the time.

I had a hard time with Elara's question because I think Rogue nailed it. I wanted to ask "How can you really tell?" for a lot of cases, friends might not even notice what's happening if the person hides it too much. Speaking from experience.

Middle school I listened to Linkin Park... I'd rather not go back.

Yes, I have. There is a neat drive-in here that I think may be on its last leg because they cannot afford to get digital projectors, so they are at the mercy of the studios releasing reels still. I went to one out in Irvine when I was little to see Casper, but I was super annoyed that soon after I moved out of California they built a whole new drive-in right near where I used to live.

If you had to name one, what would you say is your overall favorite shade of your favorite color (like instead of just blue, it's royal blue or sky blue or whatever)?

This is going to sound funny, but I've always loved "Teal", I like green and blue a lot and it's a nice combination of the two. It is also the color of the special named units/characters in the original Starcraft haha... I've loved it since then.

And sky blue nails turn me on. Yeah no idea why. Just in case you all wanted to know...

Are there any youtube stars that you like to follow?

(couldn't think of anything else other than "stars" haha...)
