Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition (all DLC and Awakenings)
Dragon Age 2

... are we seeing a trend here?

Yeah, I haven't had as much time for games lately... and I am actually playing through Origins and 2 again before Inquisition comes out. I've never replayed a game since Sonic 2.

This year...

- 2048 and all of the variants (Internet)
- Bioshock (PC)
- Bioshock Infinite (PC)

I've also started Bioshock 2, but I've only gotten the first few levels in before I skipped ahead to Infinite.

One of these days I'll actually play Fallout New Vegas all the way through. It keeps crashing and I've got a version with annoying bugs like my companions not getting their weapons back upon leaving the casinos on The Strip.

Do you have a lot of save files? I've always heard that makes those games crash more frequently.

It's been a while since I loaded it, so I'm not sure. I probably do since I save a lot, but then I can't figure out why I've had to do the whole sleeping with Benny and then killing him and continuing onto many other missions and having to do them ALL over again.

But, on thinking about it, I think it also was from realizing Boone and ED-E weren't getting the weapons I asked them to carry (because they're essentially pack mules who can kill things) back on exiting the casinos, so I was replaying the missions and trying to get around the bug. Bloody annoying.

A fun romp like the second game. This series feels like shmups in first person form, SHOOT AND DON'T STOP! And it does it well. Overall I'd probably say I like the second game more, as it was longer, bigger levels, and a bit less on rails... but Killzone 3 did that stuff pretty well and got pretty epic. I did like feeling a bit lighter too.

I still see this as Sony's answer to Halo, where Halo excels with the music by a long shot, I think Killzone had way better sound. The guns are 20x more intense and awesome. Brutal might be the word, I love how metallic these games were.

Some of them, yeah. I wouldn't say that I technically BEAT La-Mulana because fuck Hell Temple, but I beat the final boss and that's what counts, right?

Yup I'd consider that "beaten".

I kind of go by backloggery's definitions. "completed" being you've done just about everything. But "beaten" is just technically seeing it through to the end in some form.

I even have a system for this on my shelves thesedays haha. I place a small blank jewel case in between my organized games (I've become that person that alphabetizes shelves), and so all games on the left are my beaten/completed games, and to the right of the jewel case placeholder are my backlog of games I haven't finished or even touched. It's been working out really well and I've beaten like 80% of my PS3 collection since I jumped from the 360.

I've never been much of a completionist when it comes to games. I usually get bored far before that, and for games that I would like to be a completionist about, they have that one achievement that is for the purely masochistic and the process of getting it isn't even remotely fun.

Definitely the opposite myself. It sometimes takes me months to get over a game that I may have put off or didn't finish, haha... it's pretty bad. I still have Fatal Frame sitting out along with my "now playing" selection, and I haven't touched that one since last year... okay yeah that's kind of bad.

FINALLY started "Skyrim" after all this time, but I've been getting irritated with the lack of mouse sensitivity. I'm not that far into it, but I bought it off Steam for $5.

I plan on going back to Skyrim after I beat Inquisition this fall... I will actually be starting from scratch since I sold my 360 version when I got the Elder Scrolls Anthology.

But yeah... I noticed that Skyrim just isn't as badass as the previous games. So sad.

I should load that mofo up with a ton of mods and play it again. I kinda need something to escape to.

Just saw another article the other day about Skyrim and mods still keeping it alive. I can easily see that one being timeless with the modding out there.

Damn, we need Fallout 4 though!

Nostalgia blast! Been ages since I've done a full run of SMW and SMB3. The funny thing is despite growing up with SMB3 when I was a kid, I think I have fonder memories of the All Stars SNES version. I wish that was on the Wii U VC.

I hope SMB2 gets put up there sometime, loved that one too even if it's way different (I know about it's strange Doki Doki Panic roots, haha).
