I've been meaning to sort out my own clothes to donate...for about a year. I always stop as soon as I start. One of these days...

In other news, I just got back from the first night of paper delivery. Not bad. Once I learn the route, it will be a breeze. My favorite part was probably on the way home, though. When I'm leaving one of the neighborhoods, a retirement home across the street is called The Shire. Hee hee.

But I found out that I make about $700 every two weeks. I'm only getting half, because my mom is driving me and helping out until I get my own car, but I still think that it's a pretty good salary. So I was thinking about telling the manager at my gym that I was no longer interested in the job. My body needs to get used to this sleeping pattern before I take up anything else.

What do you experienced workers out there think?

I would die for a job that had a regular schedule, my hours as of now make it so that I can sleep hours for one day and then minutes for others. Glad to hear the job is down and it always feels good having money...*greedy* hehe

I wouldn't exactly call it a regular schedule, but I suppose the hours are constant.

On my way home, I stopped in a pretzel bakery because I saw a help wanted sign. I have an interview in an hour and a half with the manager, so that's pretty awesome. It's an afternoon bakery job. Free pretzels for me

At least you got eight hours of sleep, Vince. I'm lucky if I get six with two jobs

Instead of repeating myself from my post in 'Busy', I will instead speak of an error I may have made today. One that may cost me my life.

That error is, of course, a hair cut.

I decided to cut it so I didn't sweat so much during work, and it has helped, but do I look stupid. I remember now why I kept it long.

Bastards. I'll post some mugshots in the photo thread later (which probably means a couple days from now )

It's pretty bad. And short.

I'm already used to it, and I have picked up the habit of wearing a hat, since I have to at work. I'm not sure if I am fond of this habit.

I must conduct an experiment.

It's my mom's birthday and there was a mini-comic convention near L.A. today. Great stuff on both accounts.

My mom's 64 this year, and we're celebrating 3 years since her last lumpectomy (her third). So far nothing has popped up and she continues to be a cancer survivor.

Since my dad's diabetic and hates eating anything he doesn't recognize with spices or sauces that cause him to question what they'll do to his blood sugar or blood pressure for that matter, Mom and I (and probably the boyfriend) will do the more exotic food next weekend.

This weekend's been pretty interesting. Nothing big really happened, but it was nice. Went to Hooters for Stitch's cousin's birthday. I pretty much drank a whole pitcher of sangria. It mostly just made everything funny for 10 minutes.

Later that day, went to another friend's party that turned into club hopping around the OC. Too many girls in skimpy clothing trying to impress guys while shitty music is playing and the bouncers blind you with their flashlights as they try to intimidate everyone to move closer to the bar/dancefloor that smells like someone ate bad chicken and shit their brains out in the middle of.

Sigh...

Well off to finish reading this book before I have to interview the author and his colleague on Wednesday.

Economics major, with a lot of International Studies on the side (eventually).

Math is lame due to poor professor so I gotta take some extra things for it and Japanese is the funnest class of funnest classes.

This week has been too mentally draining. I'm going to not leave bed for a couple days.

Well, I'll get out in time for the Rocky Horror convention tomorrow. And THAT'S IT.

Maybe the Lunar festival in Chinatown before the convention. And THEN that's it.

... or maybe that Italian festival in L.A. on Sunday ...

Damn it.

Rogue, you're always doing such cool things. I envy you.

I have off from the Pretzel Factory until Tuesday, so I'm excited! Sleep for me, bitches!
However, I have to be in at nine on Friday...no sleep for me that day.

Sigh...

There's just too much to do, and I either have no energy or longing to do it. I was up at 6 this morning transcribing quotes for the features story I had to write for class.

I need to start looking for an internship.

On the plus side, I was dreading having to find a professor to interview for the "Interview Your Favorite Teacher at the University" assignment, but I asked Jason, the newspaper's adviser, and he actually wrote, "For you? Yes!"

The weekend was interesting. Stitch, Brandon, and I drove 300 miles roundtrip for an all-you-can-eat pizza buffet. We wandered around this massive park full of museums, and hung out for a while in this one full of shrunken heads and mummified remains.

I had my first college hockey tournament this weekend. It was shortened, two 15 minute periods, so that we weren't there all day. Talk about a fucking fiasco. My ride was hung over and didn't get us there on time, so we missed the first game. They ended the first game early due to a mercy rule (games end if it was in the second half and there was an 8 goal differential), so we lost that one 9-1 to Neumann College. Then Villanova beat us 9-3 (I got an assist, at least). Temple beat us 7-0 next. Then, the playoff round started, in which we were promptly eliminated by Temple, who beat us 8-1 this time. I also dislocated my elbow in the game, and tweaked my already injured ankle.

In other news, I get to come home for a four-day weekend this week, which should be fun.

I'm feeling slightly more productive this week. Interviewed Jason yesterday. It went well. Apparently now I have to write a story on him. Goddamn it.

Done for the week. Well, I've still got Graphic Novels class, but that's more fun than school.

I'm running ragged. I'm writing a paper right now for a class this afternoon. I've got another due in two days on a comic book character's evolution.

Last week I had papers and a midterm that I nearly had a heartattack over. I'm still not sure about it.

The week before that I had papers due.

Next week I've got a 6-page paper due.

There's just too much to work on.

I got a B on that midterm I've been dreading.

Right now I'm supposed to be writing a paper for graphic novels class about a comic book character's history and trajectory.

I've got two big papers due next week, and a member of my entrepreneurial magazine project hasn't been showing up for class let alone group meetings. She cockily said to one of the members of the group that she could do it all by herself. Fine, then.

I've been like a zombie the last few weeks. I should be working on this story that I conducted the interviews for last month, as well as this project I've got going with some friends. Goddamn it.

Got 3 hours of sleep last night working on a paper for a class that was due today. Had two other assignments to work on.

Nothing due tomorrow, but I've got a 10-pager due Wednesday night.

Then I'm free. FREEEEEEE for a week.

Well, I've got a few assignments but no big papers.

Not a lot of love with other people in this community.

Lately I have been busy working on a project that I am sure some of us gamers might enjoy. However, the route I am taking is a little expensive. I am working on an EP of music for videogames.

Other than that. I was offered a raise at my job to work in other fields. Like making bread, bussing, etc. I accepted. So next week I should be getting more hours at work doing other things beside lead hosting. Both jobs I don't have to deal with people. So gimme all the hours you can give me!

My Masonry life is going ok. I guess. Just the same old same old. Charity events at this place, Jobs daughters meetup BBQ at this place, and EA degrees start at this time of the month. Standard stuff. I am still bummed I missed the Shrine Circus this year. Really really bummed out about it.
