1. Warning: mktime() expects parameter 4 to be long, string given in /home/xeo/xeogaming.org/editprofile.php on line 197

This warning appears at the top of the page when you edit your profile, due to Acmlmboard's really, really poor code. Well atleast I got no birthday related issues when registering, so let's not complain

2. The NEW stickers. Those all go away when you mark a forum read, but when you read a thread, nothing can be done, they don't go away. So how am I supposed to know what's new and what's not?

Yeaaaaaaaah bad timing, we just ran into a lot of issues over the last day or so. Demi-Fiend is the coder so let him know anything you stumble upon via email if you want.

I think I had this problem when I first signed up. I hit "Mark all forums read" on the main page and everything went away. If that doesn't work, then I don't know. I'm not too good of a computer guy

That's what I said, they go away when you hit "mark forum read", but when you read a thread that has a NEW sticker, it doesn't go away, when it should.

As an example, I cleared them all, then I replied to the introductions thread, it got a NEW sticker, and the sticker doesn't go away when reading the thread.

Oh, I understand. I apologize.

But yes, it does that. The only way to get the sticker to go away is by marking the forum read. Otherwise, it says like that, like you said. It has been like that since I came here earlier this year.

No problem.

But yeah, this gotta get fixed, it's annoying to not know what is actually new, and I'm too lazy to mark forums read all the time

Edit- I also gotta say, there are security holes. For example, I'm not supposed to have this custom title.

To you people who are already panicking and thinking I came here just to destroy the forum, calm down, you're wrong. I will not reveal the security holes publicly for obvious reasons, I will not fuck up anything, but I'm going to send them to Demi-Fiend via email as I find them.

And, when I get the doubleposting error, I get redirected to $thread[title] according to the error message.

Damn! I've been working on getting a custom title for ages, and you have one before me!

Yes, I get sent there as well. But no one can double post (besides staff?) for 24 hours after their last post, if I am correct.

And the best thing, if I want to change my custom title, I don't even need to hack the board again! The board will show the field in editprofile 'cause I already have a custom title.

There is nothing to be "fixed", as we've never had that in the first place.

As for when I'll add it, who knows.

As for holes, yeah I knew. I saw that when I add to fix an insane ammount of stuff today.

I don't see an issue with knowing whether shit is new or not. You read or you don't. What the fuck is the fucking problem?

Allright. Acmlmboard 1.x is a Swiss cheese.

Maybe I'm crazy, but was the NEW issue always like this? Maybe I've just gotten so used to casually hitting Mark Forum Read so often that I don't notice it.

Nah, you just got used to Acmlmboard 1.x and its shitty code. See for example, on ABXD (AcmlmBoard XD, the software NikoBoard is using), when you read a thread, the board removes the thread's NEW sticker automatically! No need to hit Mark forum read

Yeah I've been using AB's since the 1.8 series, when back then even I found out how to edit powerlevels. Now that's sad.

What, I do know Acmlmboard 1.x severely lacks an admin panel, but there's still edituser!

I vaguely remember it not being an issue last year, for some reason it would do it automatically but disappeared one day. I could be insane though. In fact, there's a high probability of that.

Either that sounded incredibly stupid or we're just all confused, but what I meant was that because of bad query updates or something like that in the code, I think you either put some specific string of code in your bio or the actual url and any user could alter their power level (and a lot of other stuff if you knew the variables, just about anything in editprofile). I remember doing this on the official Acmlm Board at one point, luckily like you I was a good guy and was just pointing it out.

Allright, I reported some security holes I found to Demi-Fiend over email, but it seems like he doesn't check his email quite often

I do check my mails, but considering I'm working 10 straight days, coding has to wait.

(and to be honest, fixing these holes is kinda annoying. I mean: intval intval intval intval addslashes intval... )

EDIT: Also, stuff like custom titles I don't care enough to fix. Really, there shouldn't be any SQL injection related to this one and doesn't really hurt anything.
