At least it got a whole hell of a lot better near the end.

SPOILERS
SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS So it figures this would end with Nathan dead. EVERY view of the future or season ender seems to have Nathan dead, dying, or now... replaced. It's the same song with Ali Larter. Now with all that said, this season's last few episodes were really strong, but the end was slightly on the anticlimactic side. It could almost easily be any other episode than a finale. The only thing that got to me was the fact that they didn't show the fight between Sylar, Nathan, and Peter. They have yet to really show an epic, no holds barred battle on the show. When Sylar and Peter fought in the future in season 1, just like tonight's episode, you just see the glowing from powers around the door. Still, the show is definitely looking up. |

Originally posted by Rogue Ugh, it really bothers me when people complain about this. I'm sorry, I'm not trying to target you, but I've heard this incessentently since Monday night, and it irks me. With a cut budget and limited time to focus on the actual battle, the more they would've shown, the cheesier and unawesome it could really be. I'm more a fan of leaving it in my imagination than having some half-baked crapfest churned out with a less than able cash flow. |

Then I'm glad I'm not the only one saying it.
Yeah, I completely get that with no money there isn't much to show, but the "Oops, guess you're stuck watching the characters on the other side of the door with the glowing edges as opposed to seeing the battle on the other side" is tiresome. But enough about it, then. So yeah, it's gonna be interesting when Sylar/Nathan decides to try and fly, falls off a building and spontaneously regenerates. Ah, the unofficial tradition of former Star Trek actors playing on the show continues. |

So I wonder if "Nathan," guided by Sylar's longing to connect with family, will return to Heidi and the boys, Simon and Monty. Perhaps he'll kill them too? Hmm..

Originally posted by Rogue I'm sorry, but that would suck. I mean, he should go back to his family because he wants to, but I don't think Sylar is going to kill them. Basically, from interviews and shit I've been gathering, here's what is going to happen: The longer Nathan's conciousness is 'dominant' in Sylar, the more of a foothold it's getting. It's not "really" Nathan at first, but with the memories and the DNA shifting, he is truly becoming Nathan. What's going to happen is Sylar and Nathan are going to have a battle for dominance of the soul. This is the truest defeat Sylar has ever been handed in the show, as if he loses this battle, his existence could be gone forever. Anyone else feel really upset about Sylar's mindwipe when they showed him as a kid in the flashbacks? That kid was an amazing actor. |

Originally posted by Cairoi Well, they have been illustrating that Sylar's ability to shapeshift has made him somewhat schizo. Very Norman Bates like at that. |

Originally posted by RogueOriginally posted by Cairoi "I Am Sylar" = Psycho + superpowers. Anyway, yeah. Sylar has begun to lose his identity, making him prime for the shift of power in him caused by Matt's dirty deed. Will Sylar be strong enough to be gain control, or will Nathan 2.0 gain dominance and finally bury the demon? Either way, expect some amazing shit. |

So what are your thoughts on this season so far? I'm sort of relieved they're only getting half a season this year, for some reason.
After last night's episode, it's definitely gotten better, though. Great episode. |

This whole season has been fantastic. Serious return to form. Probably too late, though.

They're only getting half a season? I knew they were shortening it, but I thought it was only by a few episodes... at least it was that way back in March.
http://tv.ign.com/articles/959/959600p1.html Anyway though, this new season is awesome. The new villain is awesome, the acting is MUCH improved, and I wasn't nearly as irritated by the Claire/Gretchen thing as I thought I'd be. I'm pretty much really liking this new season, if it keeps up, Heroes might still have a future. (Last edited by Vulkar on 10-14-09 10:44 PM) |

I'm really looking forward to Gretchen getting killed off. Ever since Claire's roommate got killed off, she's been so obnoxious.
I definitely want to see more of that doctor who was counseling Sylar's body, though. I hope she gets to stick around. Not that into the tattoo girl, though. Samuel's interesting. Do want to see more of Ray Park. Overall not a bad volume. |

Yep, this volume is definitely kicking some ass. It's really bringing back the spirit of season 1, and so far it's been deviating from the same old formula (bad thing is painted, someone goes into future to confirm bad thing will happen, Nathan presumed dead, things work out .. sort of) which is excellent.
Good deal. |

So, the show's been canceled. After the way, the last volume ended -- with Claire pretty much being a media whore -- I really don't know what to feel.
Sylar and Peter had really grown. |

I've been dealing with depression from this news since they first announced it. I guess the times, they are a-changin'.

Originally posted by Rogue I agree. The way the season ended left so many possibilities. Peter and Syalr could have been great together, and I really wanted to know how the public would take it. And Claire...I almost want to trap her in a pool of water so she constantly dies. Or a volcano. |

It seems the only way to kill healers like Claire is to sever the brain from the rest of the body so it doesn't give the signal to heal. Then again, she went through what might equate to a nuclear explosion in "Company Man" which probably would have cooked her brain, and it all still regenerated.
I really liked Claire in first season. Then I kept wanting to see her get killed off. But keeping her in a state of constantly drowning sounds fun. |

Exactly. Constantly drowning Claire = best game ever.
And yeah, they made alot of mistakes. In the first season, for the the season finale, they blew up Peter, saying that he just healed afterwards and was all better. Then the next season, they added the rule that if a certain spot on the body is hit, then the person cant heal....WHAT?! I found it completely contradicting, but they stuck to it after that.
