Right...so anyone else here bugging out about what they're going to do with their lives?

I think I'm on the verge of a nervous breakdown...but...at the same time I'm excited to learn more about my opportunities. **shrugs**

Any ideas on what you guys even want to get into? Any advice? As for myself...I kinda have a direction...but I'm so lost. **sigh**

After this semester, I'm about to change my major for...the second time...I started off as a Communications/Film major. Then changed it to Business, only because Film was too unstable and I wanted a background in Business if I was going to dabble in the film industry. MANY people have raw talent, so I can't rely on the possibility of just being good at something to get me by. I need to outsmart my competition, ya know? Being familiar with an aspect of something that not many people even realize is a part of what they're getting into creates that edge....so...even though I changed my major, it was really just a different means to accomplish the same goal.

HOWEVER...I have tossed that goal of becoming the next Steven Spielberg aside. Going to mess around in Criminology (Where's Zabuza when I need him? Heh.) **shrugs** Not much else to say since I'm still in the process of giving information...all I can say is that my Sociology professor has been trying to convince me to look into it all semester. I caved one day and told her that I would if she gave me 50 reasons why I should. Why I should, not why it's a good opportunity in general. And ya know what? She did it, without batting an eyelash...was even so bold as to give me fiftyONE reasons, the last reason being the one that really sold me...so...yeah....

How about everyone else?

Discuss. <3

You need a hug!

I have been pretty sure about where I'm going for the last... two or three years, and it's kind of been one of those things that keeps me from stopping, knowing what I want.

It's been an ambition of mine to become an RCMP officer, and I just figure it's something I'd be good at. Of course I'd be going to college for a year or three before that, picking up my second language on the way(Recruiters love that), because it turns out another thing I'm good at is accounting. So I'm going to get my general accounting certificate, along with my French12, then join the RCMP... it seems as simple as that really.

I second Genome. *hugs*

Out of high school I wanted to be a photographer. So I went to photography school, found it too expensive with very few opportunities. So I left. Thought about school and different things... meteorology, couldn't find a local school. Thought about interior design... moved 1500 miles away to go to school and start a new life where I was... but it didn't work out.

So right now I'm back where I'm from and thought to myself: I think working in a hospital is in my blood. My uncle's a nurse, my grandma's a nurse, my mom's a secretary/nurses assistant, my aunt is something at a hospital... etc etc..

So right now I'm going to try the nursing program at the local community college. It's pretty good from what I hear and has some really high passing results on the NCLEX (registered nursing exam). And surprisingly, I'm really excited about it. I didn't think I'd like the medical field, but it has some good perks. Like $28 an hour for graduate nurses. ^-^

So don't fret about changing what you wanna do, Katana. You have to feel out what you want to do. <3

Well I'm pretty damn sure I want to go into computer games design. It's something that's fascinated me from the age of seven when my mum got a magazine which came with a version of Klik and Play which, at the time, was my favourite ever program, although it really annoyed me that I could make sidescrollers but meh, it was fun.

I have however also considered going into writing, considering my mostly positive comments regarding the stories I've written. However I doubt I'll seriously consider it unless my plans in computer games design fail.

And if all else fails, it's back to my job in retail. xD
