So, where do you guys stand on this most delicate issue? I'm a big fan of Mike Gravel, because quite frankly he has a ton of great ideas, but if I have to choose between Obama and Clinton, I would choose Obama.

I wouldn't choose Obama or Clinton, Obama is a good speaker, but I think he's way too inexperienced, but Clinton has done little more in her campaign than try and put herself above others. I don't really like either.

I'm honestly tied between Romney and Huckabee, though I'm not crazy about either. Romney seems more like he'll do what people want, but hasn't been steady on most of the issues he supports. Huckabee has been prettyy good, but he has also said a few things to show he's not hugely knowledgable.

Overall, I'm not loving any of the candidates.

From what I understand, My dad is rooting for Clinton, when Clinton was president, times were great, and the Dollar was worth more then than it is now. However Hilary is a big Censor nazi, and shes trying to censor videogames from the public. The Sources from this was from the Youtube debate a few weeks or so back, there was one guy dressed as Master Chief and asked the Canadates about censoring videogames, and Hilary was all over it like white on Rice, saying she will pretty much remove them and take them off the shelves on all games rated M.

Honestly, im pretty sure I would vote for her if they would not advertise M rated games period, either that or dont put them on display, and have the behind the counter or something. But she plans on removing them from America Period. Which is something I dont want.

# Boycott violent media and products. (Aug 1999)

That was on her little tab on the link Cairoi provided. Do you seriously want this?

Obama diddnt really comment on it, so im pretty sure alot of Gamers out there supports his anti-censoring views on Games. So he gets a +1 for me.

However Obama is a little inexperienced, like Vulkar said, and I really dont have alot of Faith in him.

If Hilary can just bend her rules a little and listen to the people (Citizens) out there rather that what other people tell her, like her fellow republicans or Democrats, whichever, then Ill vote for her this coming election. But for now, im kinda going for Obama.

Call me selfish, but im rooting for the Canadite (sp) that does not oppress my ways of entertainment. Obama is also raising the Minimum wage, not as much as Hilary is, but enough to make the Dollar worth as it should be again. So Obama has my vote.

I'd like to see Ron Paul win for the Republicans. He has a lot of progressive ideas and he's not afraid to speak his mind on some of the issues the other politicians tip-toe around and try to fluff up so people on both sides will like them.

Personally until I see actual change for the better I don't really care about who's the President.

Though if I did I'd vote for Obama because of Clinton's policy on censorship. Pretty much the same reason Nagis stated.

I'm actually suprised at how people have voted in these polls so far. I used to think that I was the only republican on this board, but here we have more republican votes than democrat.

But yeah, I'd personally have a fairly huge problem with Clinton. Just watching the video of when she "cried" shows how fake she is. Try and find tears, if you succeed, I'll give you a metaphorical medal.

Also, I'd reccomend you all do a bit of research on how Obama has gotten to his current political position. Supposedly then he's found things out about some of his opposition, and then made it public, pretty much ruining their lives. I'm not sure about the details, but I'm not sure I'd like an inexperienced person rumored to have trained under our enemies in war, and who plays dirty politics as my president.

Now, I know that it isn't certain that he trained as a terrorist, but the rumors alone, especially since we're have many problems with Al Qaeda, make me not even consider him as a potential president. I honestly think that someone involved in any sort of peaceful union with our enemies, is unfit to the our commander-in-chief.

So this is basically why I don't like any of the big democrats right now.

I consider myself much more liberal, but I really like Ron Paul. He used to run independent, but since independents rarely get any attention, he changed over to Republican.

It's rather nuts to vote for someone just because they're the same party as you. I mean, I like Obama and all, but Ron Paul's my man.

He's drawing support from everywhere. Brothel owners in Las Vegas are even gathering donations for his campaign. Bloggers are spreading the word. Even the most liberal are in love with this guy.

Thing is my state's closing off the open primaries. You're only allowed to vote for people in your party. I think I am registered Republican, but I'll have to check.

Until you provide links that PROVE that, I will consider that what I know it is, seeing as how Obama isn't Islamic or Muslim or Arabic and he was born in Hawaii.

Also, Ron Paul's stance on abortion doesn't sit well with me. Otherwise, I'd like him. But that's such a major thing for me I cannot in clear conscience support him.

To be honest, I don't care if a president is pro-life or pro-choice so long as he doesn't touch the right for women to choose and the likelihood of a president being able to do it is extremely low.

It's somewhat comical how people use that as a ploy to defame someone like they committed some sort of scandal. "He might want to get rid of the IRS, the national ID, and fight endlessly to prevent WWIII, but he doesn't like abortions!!!"

It was a Supreme Court ruling and presidents can't just cast it down. Granted Bush seems to be trying to chip away at it, flying over the Constitution like he and Cheney were driving the General Lee.

EDIT: Oh and Cairoi, that wasn't a knock at you or your opinion. It's just that I've seen so many campaign ads take that stance and it's them that I'm attacking. Like the smear campaign ads with have some ominous voice drop in saying, "He doesn't support your right to choose. Are you going to let this brute in our White House? Oooooooo."

Debates aside, and as worthless as this post may be:

I dont think Ill be voting this year. Im not really much of a person to spend his time, waiting in line, and voting for someone who I think will do the job right for my sake.

Instead, Ill just have faith in my country. Alot of people think too much on the War in Iraq and too little about the possibilities (Least in my state) this union / Country can create.

Cant wait till Bush is out of office though. Im counting down the fuckin days.

Hillary is probably going to be the one who will be best for education, and so she gets my vote. If there's someone else who has a good plan for education, I'd vote for them.

All the rumors about Obama are bullshit. I've seen what they are saying, and I've researched the facts and not one thing is true. So his dad and step dad were Muslim, big deal. So one of the schools he went to was primarily Muslim, his mom sent him there because it was better than the public school, it wasn't some extremist thing. They've gone to the school, they've talked to his classmates; and guess what? It's a normal school. He's never considered himself Muslim, which makes it all more ridiculous.

It's all a lie trying to flame distrust and opposition to him because it's the best they've got to attack him with. They can't go "don't vote for him because he's black" because that would cause too much of a backlash, but they can overblow his link to Muslims and shout "terrorist" because so many people in this country are so fucking blind and ethnocentric that they think all Muslims are members of Al-Qaida. Honestly, the whole smear campaign against him sickens me. Even if I didn't support him in the slightest it would sicken me. They used Kennedy's Catholicism against him when he ran, and it was bullshit then too; but at least with him he was actually what they said he was (Catholic).

Your ethnicity, gender, or religion should not determine your worthiness as a president. It is your goals, your dedication to the people, and your actions that determine your worthiness. And as for "he damaged people's reputations", give me the name of a politician that hasn't done that. Hell, look at what they are trying to do to him.

But yes, for the most part I support Obama. Though truth be told I would love to see Ron Paul make it through the primaries because I would vote for him in a heartbeat. But sadly I live in California and and registered Green so that is all I can choose for the primary election. I don't even know if we have a candidate.

I'm definitely voting for Ron Paul, despite not being republican. It doesn't really matter to me what label you want to put on me for my political choices, because I'm voting for the candidate who I agree with most.

Just want to remind everybody, or possibly inform them if they hadn't heard, that the primaries in most of the states are closed--as in you can only vote for people in the party that you registered as.

If you registered independent, you can only vote for independents. Democrats for democrats. Republicans for republicans.

You can change your party affiliation by re-registering as soon as possible.

I choose the guy who doesn't want to ban guns in the military... ME!!! Unfortunately, I was born out of country and can't run for president. I just don't want someone in office who wants to cut back on the military (that is one of the stupidest things you can do is cut back on a nation's military budget... history has proven that it never ends well for the countries that do. They usually are the first to go in a war.... France for example). That rules out any of the Democrats... Don't really know who the other candidates are... I have been living under the proverbial rock for the last couple months after all.

Ban guns in the military? I doubt that anyone is doing that.

We spend 1 Trillian dollars a year on the military. We can afford to cut it down a bit. And did France... They're still there.

Anyway, I kinda like John Edwards. Ridiculously boring man, but it's not like I have to listen to his speeches. I'll have John Steward do it for me.

I agree with Dirk, I'm not for any budget cuts on the Military, sorry but Munitions are expensive as fuck so is kevlar covers and all the lovely gear that keeps people like Dirk, Jexim, One Shot One Kill and any others in the military alive.

And I don't want to end up being the one shortchanged I just have a feeling any budget cuts are gonna hit the coast guard and army first meaning, Dirk, One Shot One Kill and soon to be me would end up getting shafted in some form

A lot less needs to be spent on military when there isn't a war. Also, where do you think most of the money being funneled to the military is coming from? I want more money to go to education.
