My magazine finally came. It's the New Super Mario Bros. Strategy Guide for the Nintendo DS from the official Nintendo Power magazine. I don't have game yet but I'm reading some strategies and maps to view.

Personally, I think that Angels & Demons would have made a cooler movie. But yes, an excellent book.

Vulkar, War of the Spider Queen is AWESOME! You may hate the end though... and avoid the Lady Penitent series until you finish or else spoilers will abound.

As for me, I finished Pox Americana and I have to say I am very impressed with it and recommend it to everyone interested in American history. I've also started reading the above mentioned Lady Penitent series by Lisa Smedman and am eagerly awaiting my spring break so that I can get back to reading Winter's Heart (book 9 in the Wheel of Time series if I remember correctly). It's been sitting in my car forgotten since January.

I also am finishing up The History of Sexuality by Michel Foucault (Foo-coh, he's French). It is interesting and all... talks about how Victorian repression of sex really just spawned new ways to talk about it so we are really not all that repressed. It does have a tendency to make your eyes gloss over though.

I finished the third part in the Bloody Jack books a week ago: Under the Jolly Roger

While you'd expect this to be a nice refresher on life and history of tall ships, it's just another redundant love affair for Jacky Faber.

Either way, I've been working my way through Ye Gods, though it's taken me a bit. It's one of those books that I only read on the train, but I'm three-quarters of the way through. It reads like a slightly lesser version of Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman writing a sequel to Good Omens using Greek mythology instead of Christianity, and all of the action just stops halfway through the book. Even the fights have no detail, simply that a character is talking and later it says there was a fight.

Just finished reading the Moreau Omnibus (Forests of the Night, Emperors of the Twilight, and Specters of the Dawn) by S. Andrew Swann. It is a very interesting sci-fi series that draws you in really fast. There is a fourth book in the series, Fearful Symmetries, but I've yet to borrow it to read. I recommend the series to everyone.

And, as should not be surprising, I've just re-read Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in preparation for the release of Deathly Hallows this weekend. Skimmed over Order of the Phoenix afterwards, but I don't feel the need to reread it just yet.

Hate to say it, but the latest HP book has been leaked online, so beware of spoilers. I'm almost tempted to read it just to throw out which of the three dies before the book officially comes out, but then, I don't know, what goes around comes around. Someone might drop the spoiler bomb on me some day.

Place to download it: http://thepiratebay.org/search/harry%20potter%20deathly%20hallows/0/3/600

Am currently reading Neverwhere. No particular reason other than I've been meaning to for some time. Last time I started into it, ended up giving my copy to the guy who used to work at the Art Theater.

I loves me some Neil Gaiman.

Well, I just finished the seventh Harry Potter, so I'm currently contemplating a fantasy book so I don't have to work into it.

Any suggestions?

You should read Robert Zelazny. He's high fantasy.

I've been reading contemporary fiction a lot lately. And a lot of erotica.

I'd rather read diarrhea that the Wheel of Time books. I struggled through the first. I don't understand the fascination. It's like waiting for several elephants to poop.

Does anyone remember the Dark Tower children's books where everyone had sunstones and you had to get a shadow companion and stuff?

Because when I was younger I loved those books.

The first one I admit is fairly lame. However, once it gets going, the wheel of time series gets to be really good.

Well maybe I'll give the second one a chance. I'm pretty sure Pockets has almost all of them. Pfft. Now I will be stuck in the infinite swirl of dung.

The third one so far is actually my favorite. It doesn't have much of Rand, so it's cool.

The fifth one keeps seeming to drag on a bit though.

Lately I've been reading a lot of amateur fiction. Unpublished, oh and cereal boxes. I'll ask Pockets to bring me the first Wheel of Time so I can re-read it and then I shall read the entire series.

I have but I can't remember what they were called. XD That was such a long time ago.

Also, currently I am reading the newest Harry Potter book and a book called Magic's Pawn by Mercedes Lackey.

Yeah I tend to read two books at a time. -__-

Go Makura!! Join the Wheel of Time group! I'm lonely being the only girl.

Anywho, I've just finished the Moreau series' last book, Fearful Symmetries. It was really cool. Also finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and while I must say that some parts made me very sad and it did feel a bit rushed, that I am overall very happy with how it all turned out.

Next up, hopefully finishing the Dragon Below series.
