Nagis' version of the Word Otaku: A person who knows every nook and cranny on a certain form of entertainment show/ and or form of Entertainment.

This thread basicially tells everyone about your extensive knowledge of your favorite Videogame. name the one you know most about and how you think you are an otaku of that game.

Mine is simple: Im a Metal gear Solid otaku, as well as a Command and Conquer otaku.

Ironic is the main thing on MGS, as an Otaku thats actually IN the game. >D

But about my Command and Conquer knowledge, itso nly so limited to the Tiberium Wars, I havent yet to play the third game in the series, but I know enough about the War (What stumbles me is how Kane is still alive after Moscow's Invasion from the Soviets (1950ish) all the way to the present time of the Third Tiberium War (2045ish).

So whats yours, and why are you an otaku on that Videogame?

1. Link to the Past - I could probably draw the world map, dark world, and every single dungeon and cave perfectly off the top of my head. This has been my favorite game since I was about 5-6 years old or so, and I still go back to it from time to time thesedays. I've beaten it so many times though, when I play it ... its as if I'm just a computer programmed to beat the game. I don't even have to think or try to remember where I'm going and what I'm doing, and getting every single item and whatnot has become silly. Regardless that over the years its become a completely effortless game to me, its still extremely fun. I challenge myself from time to time or do silly things like this (beaten the game like this) -
File 1. Green Tunic (weakest), Small Shield (weakest), Master Sword (2nd sword).
File 2. Blue Tunic (mid), Red Shield (mid), Tempored Sword (3rd sword).
File 3. Red Tunic (best), Mirror Shield (best), Gold Sword (best).

Just for the heck of it.

Also, I own two cartridges of it for the sole fact that one is a Best Sellers cart and the coloring of the logo/sticker is slightly different. Then I own a mint condition original, which I usually don't play.
Original (more epic)

Best sellers:

2. Super Metroid. To this day I can't decide which game is my all time favorite. This, or Link to the Past. Regardless I've probably beaten this game maybe even more than Link to the Past, and have been playing it for about as long. I could probably draw the entire world nearly perfectly with this as well. This game is also another case where I've just beaten it and found every little nook and secret there is I don't even have to think about what I'm doing. A few years ago I started seeing speed-runs of this game as well. Though I'm not as good as some of the crazy people out there, I've managed to beat this game in 50 minutes and I've got the route down perfectly, and obviously I can pull off every trick and sequence break that's needed for the speedrun. Randomly for awhile I'd just do a speedrun a day and see if I could beat my previous record.

There's probably more. Like Megaman games that I've been playing since I was 4. Those games are so easy for me, and I'll never understand how some people think the X series is a lot harder. Its almost even easier for me because of the dashing and wall jumping (I'm a ninja in those games!)

I wouldn't go as far to say I am a Otaku in any video games. My whole life I watched people play video games and I actually don't play as many games as I wish.
The games I know the best, but I am not "The Best" at are probably Final Fantasy 3, 8, 10-2 and 12. I also know most of the metal gear solids well.
I don't own any of them, but I play them the most.

I only have two games that I've obsessed that much over: God of War and Shadow of the Colossus.

I've played and beaten the first God of War so many times and with the various secret costumes. I've been creaming myself in anticipation of the sequel, but when it finally came out (it'd been marked on my calendar for months), I was completely broke.

But I got to play it at Wizard World L.A. immediately after it came out. *Squee!*

Shadow of the Colossus... I've beaten the game a couple times and am still going through beating the time trials so I can get all of the hidden items and abilities, but I'm not so deep in at as I am with GOW.

Kratos is my personal lord and savior.

Just guess...

Do I need to say more?

I can go through the pillar of autumn level on the first halo with my eyes shut.

I can speed run through both games...I could speed run through spring break and post videos

Megaman, probably. That's where I excel.

Only thing to really piss me off is the Doctor Robots in Megaman 3 (the rest is super sinch), and Megaman X6 as a whole. X6 isn't hard, the levels are just retarded.

And yeah. Megaman Zero I can beat pretty easily too. Not sure of Z3 or 4, haven't really played. My stores SUCK for games. No MMZ3 or 4...come on!

Not as much as before, but still pretty good: Tales of Symphonia.

I used to pretty much know all the enemies' HP and stuff.

I know everything there's to know (or close) and well, I'm good and stuff.

I play way too many games in my life one of the ones im obbessed with is devil may cry or final fantasy except for 10-2 the rest is fine with me and metal gear solid even though i have played it way too many times and beat it way too many times, too easy for me but i enjoy it. my favorite old school games is megaman all the way...right now im just playing samurai warriors or dynasty warriors which i also enjoy playing. and well with devil may cry its easy to know where your going and to get everything so i dont need to say much about it with most of the final fantasies i can speed through it with out knowning what to do and find most of the secret items and story lines through the game and beat bosses at lower levels than 99 and beat it in one day like most of my games....and metal gear solid first and second i know here to go all the time without remembering where to go.....megaman i know every bosses weaknesses and where to get most of the secret items except compare to my friend that plays more than i do...dynasty warriors or samurai warriors dont need to say much about them either.....one of the games im starting to get into is Grandia actually but yet i havent done any thing swell with it except that i can lay huge combos against enemies thats about it really.

Heh, I'd imagine (in Aerakin's case) mastering an RPG would take a lot of effort and patience. Its pretty rare for me to actually finish an RPG more than once, other than a few of the shorter and older ones. FFIV and VI come to mind.

Also, if anyone ever wants to play 2-player Super Mario Bros with me ... and wants to watch me beat the game, feel free!
(remember the 2nd player's turn wouldn't come up until the 1st player died, in the NES version).

True. I remember years ago one of my friends and I thought it was so awesome that FFIX was two player, and we played quite a bit like that.

We need more multiplayer RPG's.

Timesplitters... Mainly Future Perfect which I could probably draw out a map of every level...
And on Timesplitters 2 I could draw out the map of the first level on hard including switches, spawn points and weapon pickups.

I'm also great with Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2, although unfortunately I've never played the third one... Except on european extreme mode round my friend's house, which was pretty funny.

Dynasty Warriors used to be one of mine, I can talk about every character (there's over 40, so I'm not gonna go too in depth)

I was once the Chrono Cross Otaku, but I've lost that knowledge. I'm going to gain it back again, though.

I dunno, really, in later days I've become much more of a causal gamer than I used to be.

Five minutes ago, I thought I was a gamer.

No more...

Anyway, the game I know most is probably Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic. I did swoop racing, every single side quest there is, I can go through almost every planet easily, and excpet for Anchorhead on Tatooine, I could, like everyone else, draw a map.

I'm also fairly good at KOTOR2, but not nearly as much.

I really need to get a Darth Revan layout...

Like everyone else, I could draw a map of Fire Emblem, then I don't even have to actually draw it. Everyone's point is?

Video Games I DO love:

- Fire Emblem. (Ike can do the Kill Bill.)
- Granstream Saga. (Eon can copy any item and use it. Resize it, restore it, etc.)
- Tactic Orge. (The story is pretty interesting. Throwing rocks for the win.)
- Baten Kaitos. (Light flare! Light flare! Magic! Bell~~!) (Shut up, wretches!)

- Fire Emblem. From The Dragon of Darkness and the Sword of Light to Goddess of Dawn. From pantless Marth to Ike. Sure, I haven't beat all of them yet but I did beat Fire Emblem 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, and 9. Genealogy of the Holy War is still my favorite (yay for Uber broken character. I love Sety|Levin with Holsety.) and Ike for his powerful stat.

- Granstream Saga. Let's try this way. If you are guy with an ancient artifacts that have the power to restore an object back to it original state, can store it in the artifacts, to copy the particular object, and do amazing shit with it, I would be fucking rich in no time. Too bad, you have to save the islands and pick a chick to save in the end.

- Tactic Orge. I can't tell which one is for PS1 but this one time, I was fighting a woman of her two sisters I recuited and killed her with a bow out of range. That's right, I killed her out of my shooting range with a fricken bow. In the end, I didn't get her. :O But she was a bitch anyway.

Anyway, Tactic Orge is about a war against an empire/country. At a certain point, you have to make a decision where YOU can be lawful, chaos, or neutral. I happened to take chaos way and the sister you have isn't your sister. She's a princess and at some point, you can fight her or not. If you didn't kill her, you have to choose two options (and if you got the correct one, you got another two options) to recuits her into your team party. Basically, it is a war that gone wrong at some point.

- Baten Kaitos: The Lost Ocean and Eternal Wing. Baten Kaitos: Origins. These two cards-based game seem weird but you can go from "hey, I suck with 4 cards." to "Holy, shit, I only got 7 cards but my timer went to 3 seconds to react!" What make me so interested in this is based on unique battle system where you have to learn how to kick ass and nuke those bitch.... I mean, WRETCH bitches into pieces. I mean, if my dad played this and have to pick a card while 3-sec timer start, he'll be like: FUCK, I'm slow.

Same with my brother. "Uh... Chrono blow, chrono blow, chrono blow, chrono blow... Uh... Crap. ACTIVATE THIS SPECIAL ATTACK!" (He wasted 3 seconds thinking out loud. Then he lost his turn.) I'm getting started on Origins.

Well, if you ask Shaddow and maybe Clock, they'll say Ragnarok Online's one that I know far too much about...

Just because I know the drops of half the monsters in the game and how to walk to nearly every dungeon from any town and hwo to walk all the way around the world doesn't mean I know too much.
