so many good ones, it's hard to pick from all the things I've heard.
riffs: The Glass Prison by Dream Theater Beyond This Life by Dream Theater Free Will by Rush Master of Puppets by Metallica (this song never gets old) Inferno(Unleash The Fire) by Symphony X Jerry Was a Racecar Driver by Primus (it's a bassline but that should count) What Drives the Weak by Shadows Fall guitar solos from: The Four Horsemen by Metallica Glasgow Kiss by John Petrucci 25 or 6 to 4 by Chicago all of Michael Angelo Batio's songs Eruption by Van Halen Bite of The Mosquito by John Petrucci and Jordan Rudess I will think of more, but this list is probably good enough |

In a situation like that, if I were DMing, it would probably end in a percentage roll that was not the right number for it to be concieved. Or if it was, that would summon some reasonably powerful npc, just to make it look like I know what I'm doing. I've played in a few games that were on the wierd side, but nothing like this. Yes, DnD handbooks have some of the most thought provoking things you'll ever read.

Yes, ska is amazing. It's a very fun style to play on the trombone, though I haven't played much. A while ago before I had braces I could play the solo in The Wrong Way by Sublime. That also brings me to say the ska songs are the absolute best at telling tragic stories without making them depressing, and sometimes just make it dark comedy. There's an upcoming band called Big D and The Kids Table who are ska/punk, and in my opinion are as good as bands like Goldfinger and NOFX.

Dream Theater - Octavarium
I'm still in awe of this one, it's possibly the best epic song I've heard, the incredible singing and melodies rival A Change of Seasons, the keyboard intro about 3 1/2 minutes in is in a very interesting sound. |

Sakaki from Azumanga Daioh, for a few reasons. Besides her being hot as Shaddow mentioned, she seems like the only sane character on that show, or at least reacts the most like how I would try to. The main reason is her having a thing for cats, I can agree they're the cutest animal ever, and usually try to pet them whenever I see one, without getting bitten though.
A second would be Misao from Rurouni Kenshin, she's a ninja and is obsessed with the coolest character from that show, Shinamori Aoshi. |

Not any that haven't been mentioned. Catch 22/Streetlight Manifesto seem to be the best to me. The old Sublime stuff is really good, but a more layed back style. Reel Big Fish get better at times, one my favorite ska songs is their remake of Take On Me, such a fun trombone line.

The title is Strongest Under The Heavens Tournament so they should have many more new characters.
I hope they'll fit Pikkon somewhere in there, he was by far the best short appearence character, and I liked in movie 12 how he kind of had piccolo's role. He can use that huge flame attack, plus has hand to hand skill almost as good as Gokuu. Another great secret character would be the Dai Kiaoh (the one who ruled over the Supreme Kais), he has fat buu's physique and the craziest moves ever. |

This is the name of the show that supposedly all the Power Rangers battle footage comes from. I really don't know much else about it exept it's targeted at an older audience there in Japan. Does anyone know more about this?

Even though I went there for band(I got into symphony orchestra there, that was pretty sweet), I took art as an elective and did a couple of decent drawings.
This is a tree stump that I made into a volcanic island, besides how the water looks I like it. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v329/Grapenstien/other/stump.jpg Here's a self portrait(mirrored) of me, I did It pretty fast so I didn't bother with detail. The eyes were very difficult to place because of how mirrors expose nearly all the flaws in a picture. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v329/Grapenstien/other/selfportrait.jpg |

I'm half Lebanese. The other half is some complex euro-mix. This combination has made my skin on the average to pale side, and features very normal looking. The only thing that would make my heritage noticeable (besides me saying it) would be the food I like, such as grapeleaves, syrian bread, any and all seafood, and salad seasoned with salt and lemon. Hummus is ok too. My last name has an 'awkward' spelling (-eeh instead of the typical -eigh), people almost never get it right.

what a great song that is.....the screamed version by Botch is equally as entertaining Right now I'm listening to Point Counterpoint by Streetlight Manifesto. It's one of their more "epic" songs if you can call any ska song that. The drumming seems better on this than in their other songs. |

Originally posted by MisturMoogle I'm playing Come Sail Away in marching band this year (it's a classic rock theme along with Highway Star and Walk This Way) and agree with how awesome it is. The song Aria by Yanni would probably be a song not many would approve of, a vocal new age song that nearly everyone has heard from the British Airways commercial. |

Liquid Tension Experiment - Biaxident
wow this is incredible. It's a piano based song that breaks into an awesome jazz solo section. The piano solo in this is one of Jordan Rudess' best works. |

I can only correct you by saying that you believe in yourself, believing in nothing would be life in catatonic sleep. This reminds me of an Albert Einstien quote that goes something along the lines of "There are two ways to live life. You can either believe that there are no miracles or that everything is a miracle."
You're missing out on a lot by not believing in anything. It kind of seems to make you lack personality, which I don't think dies with you because of the memories of people around you and any recorded moments of your life. If you really don't have anything besides yourself, it doesn't make sense to have opinions about anyone else's choice of religion. Also remember that Christianity is not suppose to be a unified wave of belief, but a multitude of individuals carrying out God's will. Another thing that kind of bothered me was your (over)use of the word 'hate'. I won't tell you what to believe in, but I will suggest that you listen to System of A Down, Dream Theater (particularily the album Scenes From A Memory), Shadows Fall, or even Rush, and then think about how your way of life compares. And to all who are annoyed at georgee, I have full respect for him for being that opinionative. He adds color to this board, especially this forum. |

Yesss these guys are crazy. Back before the new headbangers ball got corrupted with hardcore, they would show some of Skindred and have commercials about their cd. One of their songs is featured in Need For Speed Underground. Also, as of right now they have the second best dreadlocks in music, the top spot going to Brian Fair of Shadows Fall. If I would have known they were going to be along for some of Warped Tour, I might have gone.

DREAM THEATER, Mike Portnoy is the best drummer I know of. He has also worked in Transatlantic, Liquid Tension Experiment, Mullmuzzer, And I think Office of Strategic Influence. The thing about (death)metal drums is it's usually more about double bass streams than anything else, where the true amazing technical work is done is progressive rock. Shadows Fall does have good drummer though. As for downloads, Dream Theater's 6:00 is a good one to hear exellent drumming. You can also probably find the video for The Ytse Jam, that has a great drum solo. |
