I found out at school today that TV Links has returned.
http://tv-links.cc/ Yeah, .cc instead of .co.uk. |

Well, it isn't exactly HD... But from what I've heard computer monitors are pretty damn close.
My friend gave me his 360 VGA cable that he no longer uses and hooked it up to my PC monitor (it's only a smallish 19 inch thing with awkward widescreen, but it beats my old 17 inch TV with a back longer that its screen size) and DAMN everything looks so good! Even Halo 3 now looks great. I hope to get CoD4 soon... I can't wait to see how good that looks. |

AH! I knew there was another game I wanted to get!
Now I've got CoD4, Orange Box and CnC 3. Although I have two of those on PC, my PC sucks... |

Unfortunately, it's a bit all over the place with links, and has a lot of episodes missing from things that used to be full. The episodes aren't very well ordered either. I hope that gets better soon though.

I've played Dawn of War a lot with my friends... I don't particularly like it. The whole system prevents me from using anything but rush tactics, and I hate that.
However that intro makes me want to get the expansions. |

One thing I've noticed about a lot of the Anime I've watched compared to American cartoons is that the drawings are incredibly detailed, but the animation seemed dull and lifeless, while cartoons do a better job of animation for more simpler looking visuals.
You have changed my opinion. Now if only I understood what they were saying mid fight. xD |

Originally posted by Nagis Legend of Zelda was the only song on there that was done using a similar sound system. Angry Video Game Nerd was done by a guitarist and Halo had a lot of ambient sound behind the melody and at the beginning and end of the song which the Mario Paint sequencer simply cannot reproduce. I didn't think the AVGN one sounded bland and boring. |

That clip definately had the most detailed fight scene I've seen in anything so far. Then again, the little part with talking contained no animation apart from the mouth, which slowed the whole thing down. I guess I prefer very skilled animation over detailed drawings, which is why this little clip stood out to me.
I always find that Anime is usually very serious business while cartoons have a high comedic value over its ability to create a continuous story over many episodes if not entire series, although that's gotten a lot better in the more recent years. Also, if cartoon adopted the detail and effort that's put into Anime, it would mean it's no longer a cartoon. It would just make it another Anime, thus making it lose its simple charm and ability to be made into a more random and funny thing. I could never imagine something like Family Guy be made into anime style. It would probably ruin a lot of it. |

The problem isn't just Microsoft doing this, it's the fact other companies WILL follow suit if this turns out to increase profit margins. However then it is likely that the opposing companies will begin competing with each other for better services and cheaper prices.
Even then, as everyone else has said, Google is the way to go. |

Oh when things are actually happening, I agree that anime's animation is better. It's just when talking starts to happen, everything stops to just the mouth moving. And a lot of the time I see the same actions repeated a large number of times.

The co-op is WAY too easy though. Me and my friend were owning on legendary in places I was finding difficult on heroic.

I did think it was a little too simple though, but seeing as it was just an experiment that can probably be forgiven. I think the character would be great to put in another, longer story, although his sudden turn around seemed a little farfetched. True, the only knowledge of pirates I have are the ones in Mass Effect, but none of them seem capable of being turned around by being offered a position in the place they once fought against. I love how the woman with the camera (Who I'm assuming is the boy's mother) is just "Ohhh... It's alright, it's alright"
My mum would go BALLISTIC if that happened. |

I'm gonna sound like a right dick for this post, but I don't really care all that much.
To tell you the truth, I've never even heard of the actor. That isn't my reason for not caring though... It's the fact people get all upset when someone who's well known dies. If it was some random person who died, it'd be their family and friends who would care, that'd be about it. Once a celebrity dies, it's friends, family, aquaintances, fans, random people, and sometimes even people who didn't know him all that well, although this isn't one of those times for me... I can't see the point in celebrity deaths being so important to people... |

Sanigen looked blankly at the wasteland that was once a small village. He'd heard of what the village was like before, just a circle of farmers and their families. They were apparently incredible at the work they did, producing the finest of crops and some of the largest crops in Europe. Not anymore, Sanigen thought. Not since he levelled this place.
He was recently summoned to fight, and given the choice of location he chose this place, small bits of rubble everywhere. In return he was given little idea about who he is going to face, but he was determined to win. The only thing he knew was that if he failed, it is likely he will be killed. Well... After a hundred and thirty years of life he knew that that couldn't happen. Never. He did know it hurt way too much for him to want to go through it again. He stood on the highest mound of rubble he could find (That was barely half a metre above ground level) and looked out, waiting for his opponent to appear. |

Originally posted by Nagis I'd want one in Europe too... Not specifically England, but one that doesn't require an expensive plane ticket and an even more expensive hotel accomodation. And if Mushroom Kingdom themed area gets called Mario Land, I will nuke the place. It would be awesome if there was one... Finally one that can beat Alton Towers. |

I'm gonna have to make a deal with my mother... I NEED a PS3 before this game comes out, and the only way I can see it happening is if I miss out on pocket money for a few weeks and put it towards my birthday present. I do NOT want to have to go round my friend's house and half play it with him (Which is what I did with Mass Effect and lost half of the fun )

Sanigen saw the rabbit jump up towards him. He'd not encountered many talking rabbits in his time, except for a couple in Sfihna many years back, although none wanted him dead.
He curled his hand into a fist, leaving a gap between his fingers and palm. His dull green coloured adamant sword formed, the handle fitting perfectly in his hand. Despite it's large, chunky look, Sanigen handled and swung it with great elegance. Without answering the rabbit, Sanigen jumped forward and swung across its neck. He didn't expect it to do much, but a basic first strike always gave him an impression of new challengers. |

The instant Sanigen realised he had missed his target, he turned the sword around ninty degrees and swung upwards, trying to claim a slash through the rabbit's body.
After, he put his hand out in front of him and flipped, as if pivoting on the point where his hand was. If Max was paying attention, he might notice a thin white disc where Sanigen's hand was. He pushed off with his fingers and landed a few metres to the right of where he jumped from. He began drawing a Hikermi Magic symbol. |
