I don't know. Seems like whenever I clean my room, I get sick with a cold right after from all the dust. I ended up calling out sick on Tuesday. My mom had the flu and I wasn't feeling completely well, nor did I really want to go to work. 
I got back yesterday and everyone was accusing me of taking home one of the work phones. I kept swearing it wasn't me, and then lo and behold, it was one of the clique girls that my boss swears aren't getting special treatment. |

| I really should read it. I read "Animal Farm" in middle school, just for fun, and my copy ended up going around my group of friends and never came back. It ended up pretty tattered and a couple of them thought it was their duty to crack the binding and told me I kept my books too nice.
Read Neil Gaiman's super-short graphic novel, "The Forbidden Brides of the Faceless Slaves in the Secret House of the Night of Dread Desire" yesterday while sitting with the clients in the morning. |

| You would think with the sort of people I work with I'd have to explain all sorts of basic things to them, and you'd be right, but it's nothing completely out of reason (safety, how things work, etc.)
Hm, the most astounding stupid question I have been asked will always be the girl who asked me how she would be able to print a sound, when I was working at the newspaper office at LBCC. She was putting together a brochure in QwarkXpress for a class project and wanted her brochure to make a sound on being opened. Trying to explain to a college student that one cannot simply print a sound in 2004 is not something I'd ever thought I'd have to do. Do you have a favorite cereal? |

| Probably having them watch as their grandmother descends into a downward spiral of dementia and the inability to care for herself or walk without falling and having endless hallucinations that cause her to have frequent panic attacks, and then she needs to be placed in a home while the rest of your family thinks you're a piece of shit for not just keeping her at your own house and giving up your entire life for her care, which is limited because you don't have all the training she needs. And then... THEN when you think it's all working out, you discover that the home was given permission by her "son"-slash-your-"uncle" to put her into hospice care and simply sedate her all the time and keep her in bed for the rest of her life. ALL WHILE YOUR AUNT IS POCKETING YOUR GRANDMOTHER'S MONEY TO FEED HER GAMBLING ADDICTION.
Most of these people I haven't seen since the funeral, and frankly never want to see again. What's unique about your hometown? |

| Hm, at the moment, Shake Shack. I finally tried it, and yeah, I'm definitely seeing what all the hype is about. I've only tried them once and I don't remember the name of the burger, but it was good.

| I have something of a spare moment before the day kicks into high stress. We'll talk about it later, but I'm hoping it'll be a non-issue. Don't worry, it's not health-related or anything.
Heading out to Arizona later this week to see Brandon's family and go to the renaissance faire, pending that Bran's car will make it. It's been having issues again, even after his mechanic went through it and fixed several of the issues for free after we just bought a newer engine to replace the original that was in there. It's driving fine now, but its idle is really ragged again. I really need some time away from work, particularly doing fun shit that distracts me from it. Even though we're a 2018 wedding, the meeting yesterday had A LOT of people there who were also planning their 2018 weddings/events. We stuck to the end and submitted our application right then and we saw her circle our day which had no one else marked for it. We're not out of the woods yet. Apparently, the way it works is that if someone who submitted their application before us decides they want our date instead, THEY GET PRIORITY TO IT. WTF?!?!?! Yeah, I'm still a little stressed. Got the gloves at long last.
They're nice, but yeah, not sure they were worth the wait. Just tried to check on the item's listing on Etsy now and noticed there are tons of 1-star reviews from people complaining that they never received the item (she had entirely positive reviews when I ordered back in October.) When I tried to click on her shop, I got a message from Etsy saying she doesn't exist. I guess I can only see the item page because it shows up as a previous order for me. In other news, fuck me for over-eating a lot these days, most particularly last night. I'm not sure if it's stress or my poor impulse control, but I've been snacking a lot on terrible things again and then trying to pour an absurd amount of dinner on top of that? Yeah, fuck me. I was miserable all night. |

| I've lived with In-N-Out around the corner for years and while I do like it, I just don't get why there are always absurd drive-thru lines. Putting down In-N-Out is sort of sacrilegious.
But then again, my cousin up in Sacramento has a freaking Dutch Bros right outside her neighborhood and she's never tried it and doesn't see the point. Best coffee chain EVER, and we sadly don't have any of them within 400 miles of L.A.
Anyway, I finally tried Shake Shack, which we've only recently gotten in the L.A. area. It was really good. I like it a lot better than In-N-Out and Five Guys. Not sure what we're getting, though. Looking it up we're apparently going to have one of Mark Wahlberg's family's burger joints. I guess it fits. We've got a ton of celebrity-owned places. Many of which fail. Oh right, and everyone's losing their minds about how we're getting a Cracker Barrel. I could swear there used to be one down the street when I was kid. |

It's sort of like watching "Brave." There wasn't really a villain, but there wasn't even a pressure to marry (which was refreshing.) Definitely liked it better than "Brave," though.
