| Yes, all branching from the rapey. And how unfazed they are that it happens, and how they look forward to it, going, "Oh boy, Black Jack is BACK tonight. You know what that means! That one scene we've been waiting for all season is happening. Mwahahahaha!!" and what have you.
Then afterward, they're all excited about the rapist having awkward run-ins with the character at parties and so on. I'm extremely uncomfortable with all of this. At the same time, they put down "Game of Thrones" for depicting rape (usually OFF screen) and saying we glorify it. "Game of Thrones" is sexist while "Outlander" is feminist. I have yet to EVER hear a "Game of Thrones" fan excitedly speak about the -- by comparison with "Outlander" -- smaller ratio of rape on the show as being great or something they look forward to. NO ONE wanted what happened last season. NO ONE. Trying to not spoil things in case people are interested in GoT. Fact: I love boysenberry-flavored things. |

Fuck the unprofessional attitudes I've been encountering while working the convention this weekend. It's the very first year it's being held. We've got Guests of Honor who just decide, "Nah, I'm not going to do that panel that I've been asked here to be on. I'm just going to shmooze and hang around the green room and grab onto different staff members all day because they'll just think I'm awesome since I'm famous and shit." |

| I've been booked up for every weekend going through mid-June.
This weekend I worked another convention. Stitch had bought me a badge going, "I need you to run the info desk." While there we all discovered a friend of ours, who used to do cons with us before getting immensely sick, had passed away this morning. It's been a very draining weekend. Next weekend is my aunt's memorial and family reunion. The weekend after that I'm up in Sacramento for a family get-together and my cousin's daughter's graduation. |

| My grandmother passed away on March 23, 2015.
I delivered her eulogy. She was 93. I've had several mini-break downs over her passing. Some were in public, much to the confusion of bystanders. It's safe to finally close this thread. |

| Difficult to say since there's so much crap I love to eat. I guess if it's something that I'd be ashamed to admit to people, it would be those $5 pack of three cookies Whole Foods sells. They're huge and packed with chocolate chunks and flavor and glorious SUGAR. I'm shy to tell people I spent $5 for them, seeing as you could pay that at a regular market and get a whole tray of crappy cookies.
So yes, molten chocolate chip cookies with a $4 little carton of Blue Bottle coffee. Good times. What's the silliest/strangest sight you would like to visit around the world? |

| It's been a bizarre week with more than a fair share of anguish, but trying to look on the bright side.
Happy because: My bootmaker called to ask a couple questions and then said he was just going to upgrade my soles for free since I paid so much to have the suckers made. We will be roadtripping up to NorCal to see family in a couple weeks. Shakespeare season is upon us, and it looks like some companies are going for more than just the same five plays everyone performs every year (Romeo and Juliet, Midsummer, Much Ado, Twelfth Night, Shrew, etc.) Like people are actually producing the Henrys. | The theory goes that...

Wylis was a warg. Since he was a stable boy, the theory goes that maybe he warg'd into horses, particularly Lyanna's so he could be with her. The fans who follow this theory also think it's possible that he was in the horse she was riding when she was abducted, the horse was killed, and now he's braindead. A lot of this is based on the fact that Jojen warned that if you warg too much you'll forget you're human and that since Bran is able to warg into Hodor, it's because Hodor thinks he's an animal. Other things to back this theory is the fact that Hodor is often just a sometimes saddled conveyance for Bran and that he's afraid of thunder, as horses very often are. Anyway, tonight's episode had some good moments, but it was another table-setter, frankly. I just don't give a fuck about Dany. |

| It's dangerous to ship anyone on GoT, and I don't necessarily want to see them get together. I just love the idea that someone like Tormund would be sprung on Brienne, whom he probably would respect as a warrior. Nice to see her getting some attention.
Though Arya has always been a favorite character, Brienne has been the one with whom I more identify as the so-called big, ugly girl (her and know-it-all, mudblood Hermione  ).
I really have no clue where they're going with it all, but I'm enjoying the ride. Wonder if they'll bring back Gendry, who as far as we know is still rowing. |
