| Had a pretty sweet Thanksgiving get-away.
Drove out to Arizona on Wednesday, cooked on Thursday. Spent Friday, my other paid day off, hiking and doing stuff around Sedona. Drove down to Bisbee for the first time and then walked around Tombstone on Saturday. Pretty much toured different liquor stores on Sunday so Brandon could get a shit-load of local beers and then drove home by way of San Diego. |

Christmas is in three weeks. Who's got plans? What'dja get for people? I haven't done any sort of shopping yet. Frankly, I don't know what I'm getting anybody. 
No plans to head out of town. I've only got Christmas Day off and I'm saving up my paid personal leave for my birthday next month. |

| Working at the center, I've been having to listen to holiday music since Halloween ended, so I feel you on that. Even when I'm driving the vans, the clients insist on listening to KOST 103.5, playing X-Mas songs all day every day. At least they occasionally throw in Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
No, I also get it. I haven't really been digging Christmas for years. I think it's coming with being a childless adult. You don't really think about what you want or what you're getting for others, and you're not seeing the holiday with fresh eyes these days. I think the only reason I'd get excited about it was getting to go out of town for a while on the guise of visiting family. |

| Good grief, this'll be our first Christmas without Lola.
It was heartbreaking enough the one year we were piling up presents in front of her Christmas morning and she was asking why we were doing that. We said it was Christmas. "IT IS?!" she asked, suddenly stricken with depression that she didn't get anyone anything. She was always so generous. |

| Difficult to say. I don't usually go out of my way to talk about how great I think a friend is until I feel the need to make them feel better when they're sad. What's more, it's impossible for me to not cornball it all up.
I guess I'm also more into doing things than saying them. If I'm willing to share things and new experiences with you, help with something, and so on, it sort of translates to a person meaning more to me than just being an acquaintance. This sort of goes both ways, since I'm usually not one to tell someone they're pissing me off, I'll freeze them out. The life of an introvert. What's one of your weirdest turn-ons? | I have had such a bizarre fucking year.
Grandmother's passing. First car accident. First time getting my identity stolen. Mom's friend commits suicide. Would-be co-worker I saw a few times commits suicide. Witnessed a suicide. All three involved people jumping from high places. European trip alone with the boyfriend for two and half weeks on a whim. Underwent A LOT of medical tests which included an EKG on my birthday, blood work, hearing test, eye exam, several visits to urgent care, and an MRI. Served on a jury for the first time. We convicted the guy. Shitloads of crazy to be had at work. The woman behind the center left a severed rat head and guts on the center's back porch and then threw rotten oranges on our vans. Tons of client drama, not the least of which has been witnessing a molestation. Had a cold six or seven times. And today fell down the stairs and then just went, "Ah fuck it, I can't use the PPL right now," and went to work. I've been hit with quite the dose of Life. Hope all is going well for everyone else. | Both, but I don't do full showers (washing and conditioning my hair, etc) that often, to save water. I get everything below the neck before I leave for work and whenever necessary at night.
Since it's been freezing in the mornings and nights, lately, I've been going way longer without washing my hair. What's been your most life-altering experience this year? |
