| Finally cleaning our room. Hopefully it will be presentable by the end of the day, but Brandon's desk has always been the final battle that I ALWAYS lose.
There's too much stuff I can't just throw away without him doing the sorting himself, and I end up getting discouraged about how the room is never 100% clean and the rest goes to hell. Well, there's always the happy task of organizing bookshelves later. |

I've been distracted. Also, I keep picking up other things to read. Just started Some Girls: My Life in a Harem, which is a memoir about an American girl who traveled to Borneo and ended up in the harem of Prince Jefri Bolkiah of Brunei. It's an interesting read thus far. The woman who wrote it is now married to the bassist from Weezer and they have an adopted son together. |

| Stitch and I sat out in the cold, on a cliff in San Diego, staring out at where the comet was supposed to show up and never saw it. I think we might need binoculars or at least a tripod to take a still enough picture at a low shutter speed to capture it.
And now I've been incredibly sick for the past few days. I almost wish I had the flu because that would come and go after a day or two with almost preferable symptoms. This cold is sooo shitty. |

| Story in the New York Times
So North Korea is saying that they want to dissolve the armistice that's been in place since the Korean War, specifically because the U.S. stopped paying them to cease production of nuclear weapons. They also are saying they don't want to be seen as a "pushover like Iraq or Libya." China's trying to deter them, but North Korea's determined. Meanwhile, they continue to work on their satellite system for mobile missiles, effectively making it so they can launch nukes from space and drop them anywhere. And during this time of belt-tightening, this has provoked the U.S. to OK spending $1 billion on anti-missile defense to be completed by 2017. Thoughts? |

| So every time I take a "Which House Do You Belong To?" quiz I usually get House Arryn, which is fine (amusingly when it comes to Harry Potter, I always get Ravenclaw... the birds call to me, apparently).
But I took part in this random meme on Facebook and got House Mallister, which is a house subservient to the Tullys. They have an eagle (sometimes it's skeletal) and their words are "Above the Rest." I don't know much about them, but once again I get another bird sigil. Funny, because in other fandoms and, hell, even when it comes to Zodiac signs (Capricorn), I almost always get Earth as my element (in other things I'm a hobbit, an earth-bender, and even in taking the Captain Planet quizzes, I get Kwame). Anyway, I'm afraid to look up anything about the Mallisters for fear of spoilers. You know anything about them, Elara?
