| *Artemis smile was smug as they answered. Pell looked over at her and now he stuck his tongue out at her. They both laughs* "Fine Artemis, you get your way. However, you do know your not getting away that easily. You still have to go through the rest."
*Artemis rolls her eyes* "Yes, I know. I'm surprised that Dave wasn't at the castle to get first dibs on trying to tell me what not to do. You guys should know that the only people who were able to do that were Lore and Mai...and even then, I didn't always listen." *Artemis turns to Etsu* "Ah, Etsu, thank you for comming. I'm sorry you missed the party, but glad you can make it. I'll brief you on things in the morning. It is getting late. You will probably need a horse, but I will have that provided. Also, you will have plenty time to get supplies ready. Let us go, you need rest, it's been a long voyage." *she turns to Pel and hugs him* "I thank you for your concern, but you know why I have to do this." *Pel sighs* "It's not your fault they died." *Artemis* "They died due to me being weak. Had I been a better queen, a better leader, they would still be alive." *Her eyes tear up slihgtly and she turns away from the group, wipping her eyes and speaks to them* "Lets go." *she begins to walk away* *Pell looks at the group* "Please, take care of her. We love her very much and do not know what we would do without her. Thank you for taking time to listen to me. If you need any help in preperation, my clerics will help in any way they can. | Very proud of you Benja for quitting such a bad habit.
Personally, I have my share of bad habits, but the main one I'm trying to work on is bitting my nails. I will go for a long while without bitting them, but then as soon as a test or quiz is mentioned, I get all nervous and start bitting. It's a work in progress. |

| *as they continue to walk. the streets grow quiet as the night grow darker. About half way to the castle, a ordinary person walks forward to Artemis, very much like everyone else. Artemis smiles, but the smiels soon fades as the man pulls our a crossbow. He is much to far to be actually stopped by anyone in the group since it doesn't take much to se off a crossbow. As he is about to push the trigger, a dark figure appears out of nowhere behind the would be assasin and stabs him. The assasin's eyes go wide as he drops the crosbow and he himself drops dead at Artemis's feet. Artemis seems calmed, though her face very paled. She looks at the dark figure which appeared out of no where. The figure genuflex before her* "My queen." *she stand, he clothing is black and form fitting, her brown hair pulled back and braided. She turns and quickly dissapears into a shadow jsut as quickly as she appared.* | |||
