Yeah, I found out my new laptop doesn't have any program that has spellcheck, so hopefully by the end of the week, I'll have my roomie's installation CD and put MS worksuite on here
I'll edit it and fix all the spelling errors when I get it on here. Oh, and I probalby won't add anything till the weekend. This week is fairly crazy I'm glad you like it so far though. It's something new I've never tried before. There's not much dialogue so far, but once I hit the next few chapters, there starts to become a lot of political intrigue going along. New allies, old enemies, new discoveries, and a journey spanning several months to find out the truth. Hopefully all by the end of saturday |

*Hugs*
I'm sorry to hear everything is so frustrating. You know as well as I how life can do that at times. I really hope you and your mom can start to get along, seriously. She's been really majorly involved with your life for a few years now, so maybe it's just everything catching up. Then again, you and her do have all that teenager stuff to go through to make up for it, since it never really happened much before. You're too independant, and she's just as stubborn as you are (You two are like Jenny and My mom really if you think about it. It's kinda funny) So what was your mom's end of the deal anyhow? I never really had a chance for you to explain to me what the deal you made with everyone in your family was *hugs* But hey, only a week till you start college! You're incredible at that stuff, so I'm sure you're going to do fine. Though I do think it's definitely a good idea to hold off on the job at first. Get settled in, get a routine going and all. I know it was your routine that got you through a whole lot of stuff in the past few years since I've known you, so it's a good place to start. And the plus is, all your friends here are in college, so you've got tons of options and feedback on how to organize for it Anyhow, I'm gunna shut up now, as I'm sure I'm not the most wanted one to be talking now Have fun in college though. Make some new girlfriends to hang out with too while you're at it, I know you said you wanted to have more female friends to hang out with Take care of yourself *glomps* ( <---- I win again! -_^ ) |

Wow Kate. Your room is just as messy as ever!!
Well, I guess that's not entirely true, you can see some of the floor in those pics. You two are goofballs, that's all I've got to say about that *crosses fingers* Hopefully I can get a recentish pic of myself up here soon enough. It's been forever and a day. |

I want a hoo-ya from all you military guys out there (Though few in number that we are)
Just got back from doing the River Run. From the barracks to the river, 1.5 miles, and then back. It's a run on a dirt road out in the swamp/forest off the site. Nice 3 mile run with two of my Navy buddies. Our PFA was last week, so there was no one out there but us and the fireflies. It was a feel-good run, get my mind off things. A lot's been going on So how often (if at all) do you go and PT? (Physical Training) Either run, lift, aerobics, gymnastics, etc? And I'm talking actual serious PT, not just a swim in your pool joking around |

Call me. I don't want to rant or anything on here, but we do need to talk okay?
You should have said something when we were talking about this earlier yesterday. |

It seems that your text is all black on my computer
Try changing the text color to something easier to see, either white or blue perhaps? |

I always liked Crazy Domain better than Asylum or this.
But that's just me. The new name doesn't fit it too well, Twisted Wonderland is probably more appropriate ~_^ If you're going by that approach. |

This is Kate (Katana) Standing in my living room. I just found this pic on my buddy's photobucket account. I'll see if I can find one of me somewhere. I hope you don't mind Kate! It's a decent picture of you EDIT: Oh, and for any of you who've seen it, this is where Geoff (Drizzt) was hit in the face with the phonebook (Look in his profile) He was standing right where Kate is in that picture. Okay, this is an OLD one. It was taken last new years eve by Kate. We were in the basement/downstairs of her friend's house. It's a bad picture, but it's all I've got right now (Last edited by Truth/Serum on 10-17-06 04:10 AM) |

Ya, well it is still a good picture. And you can call me Ryan on here you know
I could have picked another one where you were laughing cuz brandon caught you off guard. Your face is priceless on that one though. And yeah, Christmas and New years eve was fun. Still got all of our pictures from that night too, well, the ones you took anyhow. Goofball, and those honey sticks. Anyhow, hopefully I can get a picture from this week up. Got a goatee and mustache since I'm not on duty for another week. In the light, you can see that half the hair on my chin is crimson instead of black Not shaving that off till I go back on duty. |

This is just me deciding to try something new
I used pastel sticks, and a pencil for this (Pencil on face and hand mostly) Just a random guy for a campaign coming up for my friend. I can't draw hair, so I went with the monk look instead. Not the best, but hey, for the first time with that stuff, it's not bad it's on 14x17 inch art paper. 90Lb. Note that in person, it's smooth and blendid, on camera, the flash kills it and makes his face look like it's all scratched, when it's not Anyone have any good photography tips on how to negate that effect? I only have a digital camera and not a scanner, so yeah. Any help is appreciated (Last edited by Truth/Serum on 10-17-06 05:10 PM) |

Yeah, no uniform in that one. Tell ya what though, if I remember, I'll attempt to get one of my dress blues for you before the weekend is over I hate that thing, but you women seem to like it. This time you can see the crow, instead of just the stripes. | |||

Here's a few more.
Note, this picture is about 1/4th the size of the other... Doing smaller drawings is easier to draw for me, but MUCH harder to color with the same degree of detail as the last However, it turned out almost as good, but not quite. And the last one, it's just my random drawings from my last command. Done only with horizontal lines shading. No actual drawing or anything. Note, it was done on a corner of a piece of classified confidential paper, which I then disposed of appropriately, but still I thought it was humorous. |

Okay, because Elara said something about it, here you go.
I shaved so it's a bit of a before and after thing here. And here you are Elara... The odd looking one himself. Now as a petty officer. I dun think I look that great, even in uniform, it doesn't come out well in pictures. Also, my buddy who took the picture somehow managed to get me leaning one way, and the house the other (Last edited by Truth/Serum on 10-23-06 11:18 PM) |

That's something that's truly amazing.
I almost cried watching that video, and it takes a lot for something to do that for me. It's people like that who make the world truly a better place if you ask me. The kind of people who never give up, and always try their hardest to do whatever it is they set their heart on. That's a real family right there. |

Well, things haven't been so great lately.
On the bright side of things, my grandma is home out of the hospital. She was gone a month, heart problem, surgeries etc saved her. I don't feel like going into that. What's getting to me right now is I'm talking to one of my best friends. Her boyfriend, also one of my best friends from back in high school (Amy and Andrew) Well.. Last night/this morning, take your pick, Andrew's mom died... I know, people die, stuff happens, etc. I just feel bad for him right now. I've had a lot going on that I'm not going to put up here, that and add in my 12 hour days that I work (So I'm out of my house for like 13-14 hours), I haven't been able to be there for anyone back home who are important to me. I know its something I have to deal with, Navy and all, but I just get the feeling of hopelessness. I haven't been able to control anything in my life for the past many months, ask anyone who personally knows me about that. And now I can't be there for the people who are important to me. That's why I got close to everyone I know, because of how much I could always be there for everyone. Looking back a few years to when I met them all in high school, I realize outside of being with my friends and getting through stuff, I didn't really have much of a life, or anything that defined me, as me. I really don't know where I'm going with this. I just really don't know what to tell my friends, or how to be there for them or even help beyond telling them I'm sorry, given the situation. Being 3000+ miles away is one hell of a stop-gap in being able to visit them too. I just wish there was something I could do to help them. I feel so bad right now. Andrew's mom was really a nice woman, and was always very welcoming into their house and everything.. And after all Andrew and Amy have been there for me, now I can't really do much to be there for them.. |

Well, the funeral was a few days ago.
Amy tells me it doesn't seem like it's fully been realized by Andrew that his mom is gone, that or he's handling it extrememly well. I don't know which. he might be handling it well, he was expecting it for a while now. Before I left, about a year and a half ago, he came to me worried about what to do asking for advice. He knew she had only about a year or so left. He wanted to know about what to do for his little brother and sister, given how my situation panned out. So he may have steeled himself for this already. He's had time to accept this before hand anyhow... As far as my gram's concerned, things are interesting. Found out last night that things were worse than they thought at first. 100% blockage on right side of heart, 85% on the other. She had slim chances of surviving the surgery she told me. But she made it. She called and said "You're lucky you have a grandma" Anyhow, they have to clean up her heart some more, even after the bypasses, they're worried about stroke again. Surgery has to be done in her neck to clean the blockage out there. And there IS a one inch sqaure something on her lung. They're going to go in and pull some of it out for testing. They think it might be cancer. Whatever it is, it has to be dealt with even if it isn't. If it is though... I don't know. Andrews mom just died of cancer too, and I've already lost some close people to me over cancer. I'll update more later if I remember more/find out more. I'm too tired now to think. |
