| Fuck that my parents seem to fight way too much, usually with Mom upset with her life and Dad just shuts down and I have to defuse the situation. I feel like I have to re-assure Mom about her life, while trying to make her see things from Dad's perspective, and Dad, well... there's no talking with him about emotional problems.
I guess, I just fear my parents getting divorced or Mom killing herself like she's threatened to me before. We've got a trip coming up next month for fuck's sake. It used to be something to say, "Hey, there's that. Cheer up!" but it doesn't seem to work any more. My mom's issues are completely valid. It's just I don't know what to do, and I wish things would just fix themselves.  |

| Walked/hiked 8 miles yesterday, most of it in pitch-black night with flashlights in a canyon in Malibu. Didn't make it to the site before having to turn back, but we saw few deer, and I saw a meteor.
Bought new hiking boots, formal shoes, and two pairs of jeans today. Now to break in those boots with a few hikes around SoCal before they get to walking around the rest of the world.

| Watching the Emmys. Martin Scorcese just won for best direction of a drama series (Boardwalk Empire). Woohoo!
Man, the nominees for best actor in a drama series are stiff competition Hugh Laurie, John Hamm, Steve Buscemi, Michael C. Hall... I would be EXTREMELY excited if Steve won, but I'd be really, really happy for Hugh and John too. That's my top three favorite shows on the air right now. EDIT: Somehow Friday Night Lights has been sweeping the drama categories. I've never seen it, but I'm a bit disappointed they took best actor too (I think it was jinxed with the new Charlie's Angels presenting it and then giggling and screaming like fangirls "Coach Taylor!!!!
