I really don't understand this girl. She is like one of those Beverly hill girls who are just all "Whatever" to their parents while their whole world around them watches them crumble and fall apart.

How come the parents have not yet turn off her internet?

They came into the music industry with a bang

So I have been listening to this band for the past two years. I heard they were going to be near my town, but they canceled the show and I was only left with their great music. They remixed classics such as megaman 2, Final Fantasy, Sonic, and more. They also added their own lyrics!

Now, I am going to start out saying that sure, not a lot of people like Rap music. But this isn't like the rap stuff you know today. This is pretty much classic Rap meeting rock / classic 8-bit music! It's fun to listen to!

Now, I will also say that they can be offensive sometimes. Like for some reason, they have something against women. Like one of their videos is just strictly female abuse. And in Megaman 2 you see Roll being slapped while Megaman says "Go back to the kitchen, this shit is under control"

Granted, I feel this is an excellent band. All joking aside though. It's something most people just need to look past in order to understand where they are coming from I guess.

So without further adieu I'll link some videos!

You can find all of their videos Here

They even have their own radio station

If you want to buy their LP. You can Donate to them. Or maybe I can host the whole LP myself. If i'm nice enough.

Also, they broke up for the 2nd damn time. So now all of my hopes for seeing them again are yet again null. Godamnit. FUCK

Either way this is a good band to check out. Highly recommend checking them out.

Yeah, I went there. Also, 90% of the actors who voiced One Piece also did DBZ Kai.

Nicktoons also is hosting the Kai show on their network.

The best thing I told my friends about the show is that it's screaming into the 21st century. You are not missing much but HD visuals and a new dub.

Granted it's what the show should have been. But now that we have seen the series. Only hardcore fans are going to like it.

Personally, I am over the whole DBZ thing. Ever since GT I lost all hope for the series. GT absolutely sucked.

E- I also will say that they should have stopped with Frieza, but the Cell saga was pretty good. It's debatable really. I guess I have a different taste in anime than what I used to.

I think True Flight told me that she linked the videos after she was shown these. But either way it's a great band to check out.

Also they did Earthbound and are supposedly doing FF7. But I would not get your hopes up due to the band breaking.

I was listening to their radio station one day and they even did megaman 9. Yeah, it was only a demo but either way what I heard was still pretty good:

This is them live with Brentlefloss; he isn't that good to be honest. I would rather listen to Protomen.

Protmen is more bad ass than D&B but that is another thread. You would like Protomen Xeo.

So, this is Protomen.

This is a band whom decided to make a story around Megaman / Protoman and turn it into a Rock / Opera sort of music.

Personally. It's awesome. And they are licensed! That is how good they are. But it takes a good ear to really get how the music flows with the story.

[Joe:]
This city's sleeping like a soldier
Trapped inside of an iron lung.
Machines can keep you breathing
But what happens when you find a new war's begun?
Flip a switch and turn it off, you won't be able to breathe.
So either way you're a casualty.

I've got this burning like my veins are filled
With nothing but gasoline.
And with a spark,
It's gonna be the biggest fire they've ever seen.
Cut me down or let me run,
Either way it's all gonna burn...
The only way that they'll ever learn

We've got to turn it off,

Flip a switch.

Light up the night!

There is a city that this darkness can't hide.
There are the embers of a fire that's gone out,
But I can still feel the heat on my skin
This mess we're in, well you and I,
Maybe you and I,
We can still make it right.

Maybe we can bring back the light.

[Tom:]
At the heart of the city there is a building that looks down over all there is.
And the man in the tower controls it all without raising a single fist.
It's like they gathered up the city, they sold it to the devil, and now
It's gone to hell and they wonder how.

Well, a friend once told me:
[ The Protomen Lyrics are found on www.songlyrics.com ]
Men, they would follow any man who would turn the wheels.
Now the wheels are spinning out of control; what would they do if we held them still?
If you destroy the working parts, what you'll get is a broken machine.
A beacon of light from a burning screen.

Light it up.
Light up the night.

[Together:]
There is a city that this darkness can't hide.
There are the embers of a fire that's gone out,
But I can still feel the heat on my skin.
This mess we're in, well you and I,
Maybe you and I,
We can light up the night.

They made their plans carefully. Spending hours on the details. If Joe could reach the main telescreen on top of the tower in the center of the city - Wily's tower - he could take out the central transmitter. He could stop the broadcasts going out to the satellite screens. He could stop the broadcasts going out to the machines. He could take out Albert's eyes.

With Wily blinded, Light could reenter the city undetected. He could complete the task that he had obsessed over for more than twenty years. He could kill Albert Wily. A prisoner caged on the edge of the city, this was Light's chance. His chance not only at freedom, but to exact revenge. To kill his judge, his warden, and the man who'd built his prison. To destroy the man who'd taken everything from him - his life's work, his name, his love.

[Together:]
There is a city that this darkness can't hide.
There are the embers of a fire that's gone out,
But I can still feel the heat on my skin.
This mess we're in, well you and I,
maybe you and I,
We can light up the night.

There is a city that this darkness can't hide
There is a fire that will burn through the streets of the city, and we will stand in the light.
We will stand in the light,
you and I.
You and I.
We can bring back the light.

With Wily's assassin out of the way, they had a small and rapidly closing window. The sniper robot would soon be missed. Their plan finally secure, Light locked the green helmet under Joe's chin and handed him the bag of explosives. "Go!" he shouted.

Honestly. It's something out of this world. And boy is it epic to listen to. Each song is like something completely different. All of them is related to the Megaman story. If there ever was one. Protomen has done it.

Posted on 08-06-10 03:02 AM, in Building New computer. This time for real! Link
So after doing some heavy research I have got the specs, links, and prices for the gaming computer I am building. I already own the case for this bad boy:

XCLIO A380COLOR-PLUS Black 1.0 mm SECC / ABS Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case. It's huge!~

So what I wanted to build is a rig that will handle Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 with absolutely no problems on max. I found the "Sweet Spot" for this build and I have even better news.

This rig costs no more than 600 bucks.

That's right. And I am gonna pour the research I have got all over this thread. If you want to build a great gaming computer and you are under a budget: Look no further!

Note: This rig does not include Windows 7, a new monitor, speakers, keyboard / mouse, etc. This is just the tower, CPU, GPU, and RAM. Most of the new mobos already have excellent onboard audio and internet access. So honestly there is no need to worry about it right now.

Power Supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817189008
83.99 (9.20 ship)

Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128431
79.99 (7.87 ship)

RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231193
96.99

Graphics Card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127510
234.99

CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103872
84.99

Total: 598.02

I should have it done either before my Birthday (If I work my ass off) or a week after. It's about damn time I got my butt in gear and get a gaming rig for once.

One thing you might notice is that the CPU is a 3 core processor. Right now there are not a lot of games / programs that even utalise more than one core. Starcraft 2 does, which is why 3 cores is perfect for the job. And at 3.1ghz, it's already insanely fast. No need for quad core.

The GPU was hailed as the "$200 King". Most reviewers have praised it for running high-end games without the noise as well as high frame rates. It can push SC2 to about 80+ FPS! That's nuts! It's also not that big.

Down the road I will purchase Win7, a new monitor, and maybe even some logitech surround sound speakers. Until then, I will be happy once this bad monkey is done.

Be it Tournaments, regular matches, or ungodly skills. This thread is for you. I made a thread similar to this in the past on several other boards but alas died quickly due to interest in the professional gaming world.

I for one watch on Direct TV the IEM once a year. Which is quickly becoming popular year by year. Last year's matchup included Quake Live, WoW, Counterstrike, and more. Next year will hold the best of the best of Starcraft 2, Unreal Tournament 3, and even Team Fortress 2.

IEM is on par with MLG, and I like both a lot! I just like IEM due to it being more "Mature" than MLG. Only problem with IEM is the gaming lineup. MLG covers just about every other game on the market. But IEM has seriously badass players facing off against one another.

Now before I link videos I will say that right now on my end. I am #21 in the USA PSN server on Unreal Tournament 3. I made it to #4 for only a week before someone with a seriously high K/D ratio stomped me. I wanted to make it to MLG but alas I don't have the time to make it on. If I did; I would.

And now for some videos. If you can't tell I love Quake and Unreal Tournament. I just love fast paced FPS games.

"This is Quake 3: Sk!a"

Ska is one serious dude. From norway, I tend to alt-quit whenever I see his name pop up on Quake Live. He is that good. There are other people in this video as well, and they are all in his Clan (I forget the name; it changes like once every two weeks I guess). Also, Cooler, who is also shown playing in this video made 2nd place in this year's IEM tournament (He walked away with $3,600). Both Cooler and the USA champ (Who won 1st. I forgot his name) played a phenomenal match that lasted over an hour and a half! Sk!a lost because of a fuckup he did during a 3v3 match.

"Korean Starcraft OSL 2007 - Official Best 10 Games No.01"

Starcraft and Korea. Who would have thought Korea would turn Starcraft into a sport?

Now I am no pro. But I do know my way around this game. But not like these guys. In order to pass their "Boot Camp" (Yes, there is one in Korea Starcraft) you have to have over 400 APM (Actions per minute). Your average SC2 American player holds only 200. And there are videos on what you see when Koreans type on their keyboard. I won't link that. But instead; this 20+ minute long video showcases some AMAZING gameplay mechanics.

If you want to watch more Korean Starcraft in action. Head over to Somethingawful's "Let's watch Pro Starcraft"

That's all I am linking for now. I have a TON of videos but I want to see some videos you have.

I'm pulling double shifts like crazy in order to achive my goal of building my gaming rig. But September is going to really stress me out. Not only do I have to continue to pull double shifts, but I also have Shriner parades to go to as well as going to my lodge to help out with EA and FC degrees for the newcomers.

Can't wait till November so I can finally take a break.

Purchasing a MSI N460GTX CYCLONE 1GD5/OC GeForce GTX 460 nets you 7 free hours of the game. Also, this card is MORE than capable of playing SC2 on Ultra under a 22" monitor resolution. Any higher is fine so long as you don't have over 800 enemies on the screen.

Either way, for $200 bucks, it's a good card. Also, it's not huge, and will possibly fit inside of your computer.

It's the card I am going to purchase. And I have seen this card in action. Holds 70+ FPS framerats on SC2, and will more than likely hold Diablo 3 reasonably well. Best bang for the buck.

So if you want to play this game on the highest settings. Buy this card.

E- To clarify I have seen this card in action with an i5 Intel core Processor. AMD? It should run at about 60FPS. For some strange reason, AMD 3 cores run SC2 poor compared to a Dual Core Intel Processor. But either way you still get good gameplay value from this card.

Ultra just looks pretty. Having the game on Medium looks just as pretty without all the shadows running about on the screen. I think this card was able to run on Medium at about 80FPS? Not sure, I need to do some more tests.

I know there are a couple of nerds here who want to see this happen. I know I made a thread about a computer I am building in General Discussion. But I feel it just does not belong there. After looking around; there isn't a tech forum!

Granted this forum might not get traffic now. But think about the future! Since I was away I have built dozens upon dozens of PCs and am also in classes at GA Tech, meanwhile learning more about system building at Somethingawful, OCnet, and more.

Also, this forum can be useful for freeware programs that can help in your everyday computer life, troubleshooting, and more.

Look at it this way: If your computer can not handle one game. Then think about the possibility of not playing just that one game, but others with the setup that can handle the game you are building your gaming rig out of.

Building a rig for just one game is just plain silly. However, if that one game is the only thing you like then it all falls on you really. I mean, take a look at Civ V's specs. It is one of the first games to require a quad core processor. And is asking for so much more than anything created since this post.

I just want to build my gaming rig for all the games I missed on the PC: TF2, Just Cause 2 (Although I could buy the PS3 version. I heard there are some killer mods on it), Oblivion (Again, mods), Fallout 3 (same, mods), Unreal Tournament 3 (mods, and I love Mouse/KB combo), and more that I fail to mention right off the bat. There are just some killer good games on the PC right now, and building a gaming rig will not only satisfy those needs, but others as well such as school, dependability, and just plain ol' convenience

So after talking with some friends online I have some good and bad news.

First, let's start with the bad news. Because honestly if you guys are going to follow in my footsteps then you need to hear this first.

The bad news is that I need to up the ante on two parts of this computer. Sure it will cost $200 more than what I originally had in mind; the payoff is that I will be able to upgrade it in years time rather than less than five years.

First, the motherboard. This is what my original mobo was gonna be. Sure, the motherboard is great! However, it's for "Today". Sure all computer parts become outdated. But this one is nearing it's end. What I want in a gaming rig is something I can improve on after 5+ years of gaming on it. Not two: Which is what this motherboard will provide me in terms of upgrading. But for about 80 bucks more I can get a lot more life out of it meanwhile not have to worry about buying yet another motherboard and spend even more money.

ASUS Crosshair IV Formula AM3 AMD 890FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard: 229.99

This was the motherboard recommended to me. It's only $200 more expensive. Comes with a wide variety of overclocking, BIOS, etc features. And it's basically budget. Compared to an Intel motherboard. This is cheap. And reviewers are flocking all over it.

So that adds onto my $600 budget to about $830.

Now, to the other part my friend was kinda crucial about. Which it all comes down to you guys really.

Before I name this last part (Which should be obvious if you want the most out of your computer in terms of future gaming) just keep in mind that right now Dual Core processors are all the rave. Intel and AMD fight to get you to buy their products. Both are really good! But if you are on a budget like me then AMD is your thing. If you want to do more than Gaming (Like say Movie editing, music, file streaming, etc) then you should stick with Intel in terms of that.

I am going to stick with AMD no matter what. And the processor I was going to purchase was a three core at about $90.

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor: 159.99

Now, the recommendation was a six core. Which would be nice; for now I am going to stick with Quad Core. Not only is it lightning fast but it's one extra core in case Diablo 3 requires 3/4 cores or something. Which brings my rig to about a grand.

Yikes. $1,000

Once again, this does not include win7, a new monitor, and any other necessities to make the final product even more outstanding. This is just the tower and nothing more.

I had planned on getting this beast setup before my Birthday. But now I am going to have to look at October to get this setup. I also plan on making a videoblog about it sometime early September as I slowly buy all the parts and get this bad boy put together. Hopefully by Christmas it will all be done and over with.

I forgot the good news!

The good news is that after this month I am done with all my car payments. Which makes all this buying and building a lot easier. Taking away weekly rent money, gas, and insurance payments. I should end up about 210 a week. Adding it all up, I -should- really have this done before my Birthday. But alas I know I want to splerge a little. So I am not setting my deadline too high. But at least once this is all done and over with I will be able to have a reliable computer I can depend on and at last rest in awe as I stare at this monster in it's true form.

E2- Also, I named my last gaming computer "Blue Bomber". It was a mid-tower that was painted blue. This one I am debating on a couple of names. "Metal Gear" comes to mind.
