| Pat thought to himself quickly as he leapt at Leon with his dagger. He had a plan! HOOOOOOORAAY!
Pat fell to the cold metallic ground and slid under Leon, leaving a smear of blood. He slashed at Leon's legs haphazardly, but he wasn't really trying. The point was that the blast of rocks chasing after him was still coming, but Leon was in the way, like a meaty demy shield. |

| On the other hand, while Leon had been blathering on about his royal blood and chargind up his attack, Pat had had plenty of time to come up with a defensive plan.
"In case you didn't notice my magic resistance is my best asset. It's very high. Like, super duper good." It's all mental, Pat thought. This attack was completely ridiculous. Not only was it just another hand-shot ball of energy, but it apparently had twice the strength needed to destroy the sun. This sounded like a terrible attack to use. Would it destroy the entire earth? Pat jsut didn't get it, and the more he thought about it as Leon talked, it made less and less sense. Determined not to let this ridiculous magic hurt him, Pat faced with all of his willpower and skepticism. As the enrgy washed around him, he felt the wounds in his side stinging, and his hair singeing, but when all was said and done, he was fine. However, he was still right in front of Leon, so he pulled out his gun and fired three shots at his torso. |

| Pat gasped as the axe swung down on him. He was too drained to ponder the improbabilities of this attack, and so had to resort to diving clumsily off of the catwalk as the axe flashed just behind him. Hitting the ground, he rolled forward and then spun around to see the catwalk cleaved in two. He flicked a nearby switch to turn on the lights high up in the rafters, and with a clear view of Leon he shot twice more at him, then paused to reload his peculiar gun (very quickly though). | |||

| Pat had gotten lucky. With the speed of the attack, he was diving out of the way of the first swing by the time the second was coming at him. Now that Leon had no room to recover, and Pat was done reloading, he aimed carefuly at Leon, who he was still very close to, and fired twice more. |
