| Oh jeez...
Fuck whoever came into my room, knocked over a bunch of shit, and broke the flap off the VCR while we were out of town. Furthermore, fuck my grandmother's untrustworthy caretaker. The woman takes my grandmother back to her house a couple days a week and gets paid by my uncle's wife, who hired her. This woman has since asked the aunt to pay her in cash so she doesn't have to report her earnings. What's more this woman started asking my blind, hard-of-hearing, and VERY forgetful grandmother to pay her as well (seeing as Lola doesn't seem to realize that this woman is paid by my aunt). On top of this, fuck this woman for walking around in my room while I was in the bathroom. I heard her come up the stairs and walk around in there before she finally came over to knock on the bathroom door, and even when I told her to go downstairs to get what she needed, she STILL went back to walk around in my room. Lastly, and I keep forgetting this one, fuck the guys who came to do brickwork on the front of our house and did such a shitty job. I actually fume every time I see the front steps we had put in so my grandmother would be able to get in and out of the house. The bricks are uneven and it looks like they didn't measure anything. The guy, whom my mom hired since he's the son of a co-worker/friend of hers, also kept bringing in other people and demanding they get paid too. | From what I've seen from people who've complained that you do/don't see this costume in the series, the American version of "Air Gear" has the straps costume digitally covered with a black bikini.

| So I'm playing catch-up. I've watched and am re-watching Hetalia. It was huge this year at AX.
I'm also a few episodes into Gurren Lagann. We kept taking pics of girls dressed as Yoko and eventually went to see the movies, which had a costume contest in between, judged by the Japanese voice actor for Kamina. Still looking into more things to watch. Seems like a ton of people are into Black Lagoon. Any good? |

| Other than obvious ones like "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," "X-Men," "Batman," etc, the cartoons I reflect on the most are ones like "Darkwing Duck," "Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego?," "Extreme Ghostbusters," "Animaniacs," "The Tick," "Captain Simian and the Space Monkeys," "Mummies Alive!," "The Magic School Bus" (back when it was on PBS), "Talespin," and random crap like "Recess" and "Science Court."

| Kind of random that pieces of his homeworld would be able to kill him. I'm not sure if it works on Supergirl who's an alien from a neighboring planet that was destroyed during Krypton's explosion. Or do you have to find her planet's rocks too?
I wonder if anyone's done a comic book about Superman being an illegal alien and trying to deport him. |

| So what the hell has everyone been up to lately?
It's the first weekend in a while that I've just sat in front of the computer. I still need to write a con report for my friend's website. 
I'd rather be going out today. I've got ideas of places to go, but Brandon's at work. It's another couple weeks until Comic-Con, and then another month before class starts up again. I've been devising a few projects... the first being to bake some cookies. |

And Bob had so many books or so many different things: mythology, archaeology, philosophy, astrology, astral projection. And countless books about Japanese culture and bushido. I really miss Bob. He was a great guy. It was really unfortunate that he had a stroke and forgot who he was. The only reason why we were contacted about Bob was because the only identification he had in his wallet was my dad's business card. And like I've said, his sister didn't want anything to do with him. R.I.P. Bob. Even if not by your sister, you were loved. |

| OK, so Mel Gibson's been in the news a lot lately, mostly for the tape that has been released of him chewing out his ex.
Hear it here. (If you are sensitive to hearing swearing or racial slurs, DO NOT listen. Fair warning): Now, it seems people are much more pissed that he said the n-word than anything else said in the recording. This is obviously not the first time Gibson's been in the news for racist comments. A few years back he went on an anti-Semitic rant after being pulled over, and now the the Young Turks are claiming he made a comment against Hispanics. I don't know about the rest of you, but I actually found his rant where he went so far as to say, "If you get raped by a pack of *******, it's your fault!" to be probably the harshest statement of all, and not for the slur, but for implying that as a woman, if she is sexually assaulted, she deserved it. How utterly misogynistic. No one deserves rape. Gibson is under investigation for domestic violence, as his ex had submitted the tape to police alleging that she felt her life was in danger. | In my opinion, he probably drops the racial slurs to give things he says extra impact. "If you're raped by a pack of guys" isn't as shocking as throwing the n-word in there.
But still practically every article I've seen or been stuck hearing on the news simply reflects people's concern for the fact that he even said that word, rather than the content of his statement, which simply indicates to me the fact that sexism is more acceptable than racism. Now what the hell is going on with the men who were considered the sexiest men in America during the '90s? Mel Gibson's become openly racist and apparently abusive. Tom Cruise is a relgious fanatic whom everyone has labeled batshit insane. David Hasselhoff is drunk all the time, video taped eating a hamburger off the floor. Alec Baldwin's verbally abusive to his daughter. People still won't shut up about Brad Pitt being unwashed, hauling kids around with Angelina Jolie while Jennifer Aniston plays victim over it all.
