And when we went over the answers, he found another question he thought he messed up so he lowered the maximum another point, and I ended up with 105%. - I've been doing a lot of hiking on the weekends, as Brandon and I are picking up active hobbies to help us be less sedentary. We hiked 5+ miles yesterday with Lee, exploring ruins of burned-out houses, checking out nearby waterfalls, and getting an insane work-out walking up this mountain. 
Lee and Brandon crossing one of the creeks yesterday. - I got a story on the front page of the Daily Titan above the fold this week. It was really cool interviewing retired marines. - Christina's gonna be in town soon! And we're going to faire together. - Lee's in town!! - My parents got me a big bag of fruits and nuts from Trader Joe's. Hooray! - Brandon and I tried a bunch of new restaurants, hung around beautiful costumed-folks at this event in L.A., went to a few cultural festivals, found a few new bands I adore, and celebrated our 5-year anniversary last weekend. |

SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS So it figures this would end with Nathan dead. EVERY view of the future or season ender seems to have Nathan dead, dying, or now... replaced. It's the same song with Ali Larter. Now with all that said, this season's last few episodes were really strong, but the end was slightly on the anticlimactic side. It could almost easily be any other episode than a finale. The only thing that got to me was the fact that they didn't show the fight between Sylar, Nathan, and Peter. They have yet to really show an epic, no holds barred battle on the show. When Sylar and Peter fought in the future in season 1, just like tonight's episode, you just see the glowing from powers around the door. Still, the show is definitely looking up. |

| Then I'm glad I'm not the only one saying it.
Yeah, I completely get that with no money there isn't much to show, but the "Oops, guess you're stuck watching the characters on the other side of the door with the glowing edges as opposed to seeing the battle on the other side" is tiresome. But enough about it, then. So yeah, it's gonna be interesting when Sylar/Nathan decides to try and fly, falls off a building and spontaneously regenerates. Ah, the unofficial tradition of former Star Trek actors playing on the show continues. |

| I had heard about this blog and baby in a WTF group on LiveJournal, and I must say that many of the people commenting on the situation are insensitive pricks.
Those whom I'm speaking of say things like the baby should be killed and used as "spare parts" for other babies that would otherwise be healthy if they had a better liver or kidneys, etc. The key point here is the child is alive. Perhaps she's a vegetable, perhaps she doesn't know where she is or why she exists, and this will only cause heartache to her parents if and/or when she dies, but she's a miracle. And Faith's mother is freakin' amazing displaying her maternal love to the world. I am pro-choice, and I do support abortions if that's the woman's choice, but she didn't do it. She held tough and she's going to love that child 'til Faith's dying breath. That's outstanding. |

| I'm trying to hold off on saying anything regarding my personal thoughts on this. It's bound to piss someone off.
Here in the L.A. and O.C. people are panicking like you can't believe. One of the editors on the paper with me truly believes he has it. He's had a cold for the past week and he actually went to get tested. I've known him since we were on another paper together a few years back, and he is a known hypochondriac. People are walking around campus wearing face masks. Sort of reminds me of all of the pictures from Asian towns when avian flu and SARS were rampant. So far there are only 3 suspected cases in the two counties combined with 2 confirmed in Ventura (the county above L.A.) and 1 in Riverside county (the county directly east of L.A. and O.C.) Several people are concerned about tomorrow when we have the May Day protest and marches in Los Angeles. Thousands gather in the streets to support giving immigrants (mostly illegal immigrants) more rights and protest the war in Iraq. MANY of the people who come to protest for immigrant rights are fresh from Mexico. I called up the people hosting this year's protest. They told me the protest and march is still going as planned, and people can wear masks if they feel they need to. They don't feel threatened as there aren't any confirmed cases in Los Angeles. *Head esplodies now* I already got my comic shop crawl done for this year. Got some good stuff out there. Got all kinds of crazy with a Batman standing on a street corner with a Spiderman. Both of whom were posing at cars. EDIT: I just read the 25th anniversary release of the first issue of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Damn is it dark compared with the cartoons and movies based on it. | Definitely check out Civil War. It's a bit easier to understand compared with House of M, since you can pretty much get it at any comic understanding level.
With House of M, you need to understand that Scarlet Witch and The Vision were together, she went crazy and killed a lot of people including the Vision and Hawkeye, and House of M is Wanda (Scarlet Witch) trying to live her life as she and every other character in the Marvelverse wished they could have lived. I've been meaning to read Dark Tower. I tend not to spend too much on graphic novels as I tend to buy them for cheap at conventions, but Dark Tower is still among the pricier books. I'm not surprised House of M is hard to find. Truly the Civil War is a better, less confusing story, but House of M for some reason is hotter to collectors. When I was going through the half-off bins at Wizard World a couple years back, this guy actually fished out the copies of House of M and handed them to the guy saying to hide them and sell them at a higher price somewhere else as "they're going on Amazon for $20," he said.
Looks like you got a con coming up this month, Xeo. Lucky. Wizard World was postponed this year due to the economy. I gotta wait until July for Comic-Con. *Pouts* Good grief, the comic shops that I went to were either filled beyond belief with people or were eerily empty. Meh, more comics for me. Seriously, the TMNT comic was a give-away today. If you can find it, GET IT. It's outstanding. Pretty much a reprint of the first issue, but you MUST read it. |

| I won tickets to see Star Trek this coming Tuesday night at the Arclight in Hollywood. I've got school and then the paper to work on. Even if I've done early, it's still take an hour to get from the O.C. up to Hollywood, and possibly longer with traffic. And guaranteed the line for it's going to get insane early on.
Well, Brandon can go with Patrick or someone else. Saints know I've done so many things without him because he was busy with work or the band. No fuck yous there. Just a blah situation. Fuck feeling dizzy again, though. EDIT: FUCK random splitting headaches that come and go and feel like your brain is trying to break through your cranium. WTF?!
