Toxin seemed to grin as he got the boost he needed into the air. The moment he got flung up, he released the webbing from his own arm.

As he soared into the air, he spun around and held out his hand. He formed a ball of steel like webbing in his free hand, and launched it at Blonsky, quckly followed by a few chains of webbing with very sharp points launched down as well. He was attempting to distract Blonksy with that assualt as he landed on the ground.

It was true that Toxin was smalled then Blonsky, but he had the sense and the speed to make up for it.

He charged towards Blonsky's side, fireing a chain of webbing at his arms and legs, and expertly fired a connecting strand to link the giant brutes arms and legs together if they hit.

And with that, he continued to charge, turning his spear into a sword to fight at close range better.

The best thing is that the narrator is calm and dead pan with it, just makes it alot funnier. I couldbnt believe that it was down by a Church, you can see it at the end of the movie.

Spoiler:
The crack spider thought makeing a web was for suckas, so he waited until the caffiene spider was tired out, came up behind him, and popped a cap in his ass

best moment ever.

I love the new paldians for Blood Elfs, I hated that you had to use a 2 hand hammer and not a 2 hand sword to start with, that is a nice addition. And by what Seticus pointed out, the Dreani look half beast like. Overall, I like the new additions with the Dreani and BE, and their starting quests really highlight what they are all about (the Dreani are in choas over their ship crash landing, and you must help contain the situation and save other npc survivors)

Desroth smiled at Oebuss' words

"Demon? Heh, what a foolish creature you are..."

The wip struck out at Desroth, snaring him as was planned, yet Desroth didnt seem to notice.

"I may have fallen forever into the eternal darkness, but I will not fall to you. I must rise up once more!"

As his words passed through his clouded lips, a faint glow appeared within his chest, lighting the depths of darkness that had encased him. It filled his entire body, making him shine as bright as the sun for a few moments before the light exploded outwards. The wip was incinerated in the process as the light shot straight up into the sky. It hung perfectly infront of the full moon, lightining the night sky around them.

"Maybe Scian was right, maybe I am not a savior, but I will never walk the path that he chose. With this light, I will be one step closer to destroying his shadow once and for all..."

Through the light, Desroth gazed at Oebuss for a moment, contimplating his words.

"And you for that matter."

The light faded, revealing Desroth once more. His wings had become graceful and pure white, like that of a angel's. His face and skin were still completly white from the intense inner light that was radiating deep within his being. Arzul had become less sinister, the skull guard became feathers that wrapped around his hand. Elw remained the same, reverting back to its original form without the skull handguard. Both swords looked as if they had been crafted from the finest and purests silver every known on Earth. His armor gleamed, crafted from the same silver looking material. A full suit of plate mail, seemingly crafted by the hands of a angel graced his pure white body. His eyes glowed with a soft blue color, instead of the intensity and malice of his conflicted spirit form.

"The end is near, can you feel it Scian? This is my power, and I will demonstrate its extent on this god. Come now Oebuss, I am waiting..."

Desroth stayed floating in the high in the sky, not bothering to put up and defenses.

"Five..."

Herald of the Apocalypse; Lucifer Form: Desroth assumes this form when he is very close to transforming into his true demon form. Almost identical to his Void form in abilities, he gains the ability to use Elvish arcanum like his ex-friend Scian, but as his ultimate defenses, these spells draw a significant amount of power to use. When he is finished transforming into the form, he begins to count down from five. When he reaches zero, his true form will be revealed and the whole world will be plunged into the void world in which Desroth was trapped in for over 5 milleniums.

OOC: Scian is another character in Desroth's story. Scian always coveted the 3 weapons Desroth wielded, finally resorting to attempting to kill Desroth. Although Desroth thought he had killed Scian, he has returned from hideing more powerful then ever, forcing Desroth to learn to control Elvish Arcanum as Scian does in order to fully defeat him. The only reason he is bringing Scian up now is because he is finally close to revealing the full extent of his power, a feat he has never done before.

If this game is anything like Total Anhilation, then I am probably going to love it. I own the original game (TA) and I still pop it in and play it. Do the commander units have a one shot kill cannon on them like in TA? I use to love playing kill the commander matches with a quick rush at the start with a few small units, blasting his commander with the cannon (I dont think the cannon killed commanders in one hit) and mop up the last little bit of the enemy commanders health.

Quick win booya!

But yeah, build times in both are a drag if you dont up the ammount of builders working on one project. I remeber in TA it took about 5 minutes to build medium level stuff and that was with 2 other builder units helping to build as well.

I may not get this game right away, I am also looking forward to C&C 2 TW that hits shelves in the next few weeks, and currently I have Dawn of War and 2 expansions to play through!

Some people play it who have no life whatsoever, and those are usually the people who sit around and gank all day. I play WoW becuase I like the people in my guild. We actually use voice chat and talk to each other and play together well. The making money part is pretty easy so long as you have skinning and mining. As a horde, you hit 1k needles and you can do both very easily to make money (materials always sell if you put them for 10 silver less then others).

Why else do I play WoW? To put it as Attack of the Show did, it is among the best MMO's out there. Evercrack is still there, and people in that game actually DRESS up as their character, full detail and act out pvp battles. Talk about no life...

The addiction part is all a cover up. If you pay to play, your going to play ALOT. Why pay for it and only play a hour a day when you can play for 3 hours, take a break and do stuff, then play again later?

The graphics are pretty blocky until you get the later equipment that makes you stand out, the only problem is that everyone else in your level and class at 70 will probably have close to the same armor. I think if Blizzard referenced games like Dungeon Siege: LoA, they could make a bunch of armor sets that really helped out in the mid levels and low levels. It seems you only get 2 sets for 10-20, and the rest are all level 60 and 70 requirements, they could use more in there.

Weapons could use cooler effects (graphic wise and stat wise). Some do look like repaints of older models, while some looks simply amazing and very deadly. In a sense, that is your reward at the end, access to the best looking equipment and a epic mount (and if you have BC, the flying mounts).

The mount issue: The same as Archlord. I think it would be a way worse idea if they could fight from horses. Ganking would be worse if they could stay mounted and one shot you as they run by. Now I could see mount fighting in BG's, but not in the general world combat.

Clipping issue. That doesnt bother me so much, since they need to make some way for people to move. If you think about it, Orgimmar at it's peak time is packed with people. Imagine if you couldnt get through them since they stand so close together, that would be horrible (also trying to get to the AH would be a pain, you couldnt get close to it if you couldnt walk through people). For rouges, it is desperatly needed since some people (like myself) have mouse's that can change DPI on the fly with a flick of the button, meaning I can turn around by barely moving the mouse. Imagine being the rouge and you are rendered useless because you have to run around the opponent who can just turn around and face you. That takes away the rouge's edge in combat and would make people NOT play that class, making the rest of the dungeons harder since you no longer have a sapper or someone who can stun for long periods of time to save the group.

In all, neither Guild Wars or WoW are perfect, but they are the best currently. Im sure in another year or two, WoW and Guild Wars will be replaced by something else that is much better (an Archlord that DOESNT suck monkey balls maybe?). All I can say is just play the games and get over their flaws. Nothing can be perfect, so just play what you got...

To Seticus: I never said I was addicted. I was speaking as a general. There should be no relation to addiction in any sense. Just because you play alot does that mean your addicted? Personally, I could say that Seticus playing Fire Emblem alot makes him addicted to it, but frankly that is a piss poor argument to use for playing a game alot.

I do believe WoW is overrated. Does that make it a horrible game? Not in the slightest. Games like Katamari Damacy were overrated (the story was a little lacking and the graphics were really cartoony and blocky), but the game was still great to play.

I have seen the Warhammer Online, and I must say I wasnt really impressed by it. It looked like they used a ancient version of the Dawn of War graphics to make everything. It could have just been the box pictures of the ingame content, but I didnt see anything that really grabbed my attention.

The main draw I find in WoW that I dont find in Guild Wars are the end game instances. Albeit they are EXTREMLEY long, the people you do them with know what they are doing and how to play their characters to the best potential. I personally like that level of teamwork it takes to pull them off, and it is a sign that all your hardwork has rewarded you with being in the top bracket of players that may or may not have dedicated their lives to the game. Hell, How do you think I got to 62? Tons of rest exp (atleast till I got to Outlands, then you really dont need it since the exp there is great). Infact, I stop playing for month long stretches before I get a urge to hop on again (requiring a reinstall and reupdate). Then a leave again, etc.

As for what Mr. Club said, WoW and Guild Wars are just a game. Only when you actually get pissed off and depressed in real life does it become a problem. Hell, I got ganked alot, but I just got right back to life and kept going. Sometimes it got boring trying to level, but I just hung on. Same thing with Rage of Mages, me and you (Seticus) played it all night and all day one weekend, just leveling up with no storyline and the same repeating events, but we didnt get bored or annoyed with it.

And for another thing, there are normal non pvp servers which cut out ganking completley. You can play soley for PvE, which is better then the BG's (Though I admit, I love Arathi Basin only when you have a team that supports one another. Most cases you have retards who dont know that you have to click on the flags to capture them).

As for sheer scope and magnitude, WoW shines. If you see it, you can pretty much get to it somehow. I like that in a game, the ability to jump and run on roofs, swim, etc. Just makes it feel a little more real even if jumping from the zepplin to the ground would kill you in real life and not do a large amount of hp dmg.

Yeah yeah yeah, I know it is only a faint glimmer on the horizon, but we must take note now!

Arenanet is releasing on last major expansion (the FIRST sequel) to the original Guild Wars Prophecies campaign that is suppose to tell what happened betweens the original Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2: Eye of the North. Adding a huge amount of level 20 content instead of a whole new campaign with new classes, this is the first in the Guild Wars line to break from this pattern.

Eye of the North will feature a very new concept to the GW franchise: Dungeons. These differe from missions in such a way that they are far harder and much more rewarding, as this entire expansion is built on getting people ready for the 100 year time warp into the future with Guild Wars 2. And on a much cooler note, no more will you be stuck to playing as just a human, 3 new races are joining the fray and those who purchase the last expansion will get the first look at these new playable races (I am banking that Tengu will be one of them). The story so far is that after the events of Factions and Nightfall, Tyria is faced with a unknown enemy. It is known that this unknown power is creating giant underground complexes (aka the dungeons) and gearing their power to destroy what is left of Tyria. It is hinted that this evil will be the Charr, as they had more then enough power to bring a entire continent to ruins in a few months, and destroyed all of Ascalon with their great and terrible magic.Time will tell if it is really the Charr who are the enemy once more, of it they are just puppets for a greater evil.

Okay, enough of the doomsday talk and prepare to get sent several hundered years into the future by way of a black screen saying :"Several Hundered Years Later" (free cookies to whoever got that reference XD). Guild Wars 2 is slated for release in 2009 or 2010, with a open beta coming out early next year. It has been said that this time around, there will be no level restrictions. NO LEVEL RESTRICTIONS! Either this game is going to be f***ing huge or they will screw things up with this choice. I dont mind it as long as they maintain the same level of exp gain and not make it a horrible grind to gain levels as it is in other mmo's.

Next key point, the whole instance thing is being scaled back with promises of giant warfare across entire zones. No more will there be zoning in and out of cities, which might be kinda odd. I did like the fact you could play by yourself without "OMFGBBQNUGGETS CHUCK NORRIS PWN YOU" every three seconds. The creators of GW said that they wanted to open the game up, to allow you to swim, jump, run, etc while making all of these features really important to the game and not just some gimmick.

The last point is the idea of 4 new playable races besides humans. Knowing Arenanet, there will be no unbalance issues for what they can bring to the game. Hopefully they wont be reskins of the human characters and have nothing new to add, and for god sakes, they better not make these new races hate eachother and split them like in WoW. GW is about team work and friendly pvp in the arena, not about people ganking just becuase your not on their side.

What will the future hold for these two games? Are they destined for greatness, or will Guild Wars 2 fall under its wealth of new game ideas? Time will tell.

Discuss.

Lestat would win this entirely. Bond may have his gadgets, his guns, his cars, his babes, but Lestat is a vampire. The bullets would do very little to slow him down, and the laser Rolex requires you to be very close to the target for it to be effective. I doubt Bond could get close enough and press his watch before Lestat would grab his wrist and break it, then proceed to feast on his blood...

As for the older GoldenEye reference, wasnt it Alec who let go of Bonds hand and fell to his death in the end? I havent seen the movie in quite a while, but whatever. Bonds hand to hand skills would get him nowhere, as Bond is a human fighting a creature that has strength beyond mortal comprehension. It would be like a 3rd grader getting into the UFC ring with the UFC Champ to fight. Bond would get his ass handed to him wrapped up in a bow.

Now for the gadgets. Bond has that nice laser beam, which is easily countered as bond needs atleast 1 or both of his hands to press the buttons to use it. Lestat would be on him in a instant and snap Bonds wrist. There is no gadget that could kill Lestat, even if he was blown up. Take the Buffy example: She faced Dracula in one episode. Even though Buffy killed him, Dracula can NOT be permanetly killed. He reforms moments later good as new and ready to fight again. Evenually, Bond would become tired out from running and using the gadgets while Lestat wouldnt even break a sweat.

And finally, it is as Rouge said: The only way to stop Lestat is to hold him off long enough that he becomes weak from hunger then attempt to kill him. While it would seem like a good idea, what is to stop Lestat from becoming even more frantic in killing Bond when the trap is released? A starving Vampire is still highly dangerous, and would probably be on equal footing for Bond to take on.

PS: I would like to see a debate on Julian Grey (spelling?) versus Bond. A man who can not be killed or harmed versus a man with a license to kill. Now that seems harder to predict the outcome then this. Lestat hands down.

Edit: Seticus posted right before I clicked on post, sorry if I didnt quote stuff from his last post

Darth Vader would win this fight. Simple combo of using the force to lift the Terminator into the air, hold him there, then use his force to send his saber out and hack the Terminator up. And as said before, the Terminator shuts down after he takes enough damage. The explosion thing isnt that bad, as soon as the Terminator goes to blow up, force push the Terminator out of the area.

If the Terminator had a gun, aim would mean nothing. Jedi (and Sith) can wield the lightsaber and vaporize any bullet shot at him. If that failed, then he (Vader) can use the force to pull the gun away or push the bullets away. Hand to Hand without force or weapons, da Terminator has got the advantage. But really Vader has many more avenues open to him that the Terminator doesnt, but knowing Villians, Vader wouldnt think up what was just said and would probably get owned hard in the face...

Leatherface swings his chainsaw over his head and such, meaning that Aragon could simply stab him through with Narsil. Though knowing Leatherface, it would take more to finish it, but Aragon's swordsmanship and marksmanship with his bow and arrow would end it.

Since Seticus wouldnt take this approach when I was PM'ing him, here is a easy solution for Bond to win:

Lestat may not be able to be fully killed, but he can be disqualified if this were a real tournament fight. If you hit him with a missle or sliced him to pieces, to the best of my knowledge Lestat can not reform right sway, therefore he is unable to continue the fight. Bond would win by Lestats DQ.

Lestat may not be able to be fully killed in any shape or form, but Bond should be able to put Lestat down and win.

If Lestat could be allowed to reform, then Bond has no chance in hell. Unless he can hold Lestat off for days (not likely, as Bond is human and would die of starvation as he never carries food with him).

Although I can see where Seticus is coming from, I must say he went from saying Lestat was a Zombie to saying he was a God character (Never say God, thats Yaweh and frankly, Lestat is not christianities god. There is a difference between God and god for future reference).

Also I would like to add that no one made any of these facts up about Lestat. Lestat was popuarlized by Anne Rice, and she is the one who describes everything about Lestat. I can bring you "Interview with a Vampire" and "The Vampire Lestat". He was cut up, stabbed, burned, etc and can not be killed for good. Which brings me to my next point:

Bond wouldnt be facing Lestat if Bond did not have some way of winning. Although true some gadgets would be useless on Lestat. James Bond is very intelligent and I am quite sure he can come up with some combination of gadgets to win. But all this argument is pointless as Lestat has more votes then Bond does. Maybe if some of us would not use their own incomplete knowledge to reason and instead get the solid facts from Anne Rice (which this is Anne Rice's Lestat we are talking about), they would be able to argue inteligently and not sound like a bible thumping Christian who's only argument is that "ITS IN THE BIBLE! IT HAS TO BE TRUE! NO ONE ELSE IS RIGHT!". Seriously, go out and research Lestat weaknesses and find the right combination of gadgets to win.

PS: Remeber, Bond wouldnt be fighting Lestat if there wasnt a way for Bond to win. FIND that way he can win before complaining about Lestat's vampire power.

Clock, Lestat is more then a "movie dude". Besides, he is a very powerful vampire. A gunshot wound would do little to Lestat, but there is a common idea that silver bullets hurt most supernatural things. Maybe Bond could use the Silver PPK on Lestat. Either that or use the Golden Gun that has the unexplainable power to kill everything in one shot... Goldeneye for the N64 ftw.

Yeah, he could be blinded for a time I would suppose, but nothing to permanent. Perhaps a better way of going about it is to make a large building (maybe something like a 20 story building) collapse on Lestat, pinning him under hundereds of thousands of tons or more of concrete, steel, glass, plumbing, etc. Lestat is strong, but I doubt he can lift that much off himself. Then all Bond has to do is sit back, relax, drink his sake (shaken, not stirred, as if it makes a difference in Sake), then kill Lestat when he is finally starved of blood. Next step would be dismembering Lestats body, removing the heart and burning it, and then burn the pieces of Lestats body and scatter them all over the world in sealed containers that cant be broken into or out of.

That could work with a flash bang to blind lestat, kick him into the first floor of a 20 story building, then blow up the building right for it collapse straight down on him.

Either that or just use the damn Golden Gun or Silver PPK...

You see, there is a slight problem with the reasoning that he could back in time and kill Anakin...

Every Star Wars movie starts with this:

"A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away"

The Terminator could be sent back in time to kill Anakin, but seeing as how he can only go back in time, but he would end up on Earth. Dont forget that Anakin was on a totally different planet and galaxy then Earth was... Explain how he would get to Anakin if he couldnt get to Tatooine? Case closed.

Besides, Anakin has more power in the ways of the force then most jedi's, im sure if he was pushed hard enough as a kid he would unleash his raw force power and rip the Terminator apart... Just a speculation on this last part though..
