Wow.. I've totally been there. I mean, I sometimes feel like I'm not good enough to be around and don't go out with people much because I'm not invited and so on, but then when a crisis hits, I'm among the first to hear about it.

People categorize their friends as such: People to party with, People to use as sounding boards, People to ask for advice from, People to go to sophistocated things to, what have you. I tend to be on most people's sounding board/counselor/advice list. I can't tell you how many people came to me this past week with some sort of pregnancy issue, that's coupled with some sort of infidelity. Many of these calls came in the middle of the night, I might add. Take it as a compliment. I know it sucks, but look at it this way... how well do you have to know a person to drink or party with them as compared to telling your most inner feelings to? Hell, even certain folks who proclaim they hate me still call me up. If you're helping them from wanting to commit suicide, you're doing a good thing and leave it at that, but there are some times when you can't baby the person and continuously come to their beckon call when they need help. You have your own life to live and they need to learn how to fish so they can feed their souls for a lifetime. (Last edited by Rogue on 08-05-05 04:50 PM)

I get it. I signed up for it at Anime Expo. They had the opportunity to get it at Comic-Con, but you know.... Anyway, I'm supposed to appear in an upcoming issue that has coverage of Anime Expo. TokyoPop had this offer of "buy a copy of 'MBQ' and get a free burger," so I went along with it. As I was walking away from the truck a guy approached me asking if he could take a picture of me biting into the burger in front of a TokyoPop sign, so I went along with that too and so if you see some fat, little ugly thing of a person taking a bite out of a burger in the next Takuhai, it's probably me.

I have this strange gift for finding random crap on the web. It often comes from scraping the walls of the net's colon and coming back with this shit. I swear sometimes it just finds me. I love Reel Big Fish. Went to one of their concerts at the House of Blues for their Coast to Coast Roast tour with RX Bandits and Catch 22, and fell in love with their opening band, Suburban Legends. Although these bands sound great listening at home or elsewhere, they just make for great live bands. They're must-sees. Oh yeah, also like the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. Just had to throw that in.
