| IT could be this... New mac laptop
A lot of people get the idea that mac's are immune to viruses, spyware, and all of that. I don't think someone could be more lulled into a false sense of security than mac users... I'm sure you could probably find some pretty good apps that work on PC's for editing video, music, etc. I've found tons. Macs don't do so well if gaming, but now that you can put an intel processor in them you can run windows and play games and all that stuff. I don't see whats so great about macs from my point of view (Heavy Gamer). |

| I'm for lables, they're not going to attack me, molest me, or anything bad. They're just a subgenre of the genre. If you really into Acid Rock (Hendrix) and you want to find more artists in that same genre or like hendrix databases use similar genre, if the artists made albums together, toured together, compilations, covers, etc.
The lables just help people find music easier. If I was to look for a radio station where the genre was rock, I'd be ok with that, but there is a lot of rock that I do not like. Though if the station was more specific to a certain genre such as classic rock then I would listen to that station and thus opening me up to more of a genre I like; classic rock. Though lables do have their downside, like once you've heard some emo crap you think you've heard it all. I will admit there are some semi-decent songs. I only like labels for when I'm searching for similar musicians/bands to a band/musician I already know. Maybe I'm looking for the people who were their influences, etc. Edit: The musician should make the choice on what their music genre is, not the public. Tanis, they're just layouts no need to go crazy about them. Just block the ones you don't like. A post layout is one way to express a person's thoughts, though many are poorly made I do agree thats no reason to just go nuts Just block the layouts you don't like or block all of them.
