First of all, I wasn't sure where to place this thread. If this is the wrong place, mods move at will (not that you need my permission, but yeah  ).
Anywho. Apple has just released their new Mac OS, Lion. What are your thoughts? Is it worth looking into? Does Mac so horribly suck that you'd never touch it? Are you excited? Are you depressed? Do you want it? As for me, I'm like ASDFESDRFTGYHUIJKOJHGFDSDFTHJKMBBQ. I want it, because I'm a massive Apple Fangirl, but I'm also like, Snow Leopard is only up to 6.8. Is it really time for 7.0 already? I mean, I know it's been a couple years, but I'm not sure I'm ready to move on yet. I love my Snow Leopard. However, if possible, I'm probably going to get it eventually, just for the sake of keeping up to date. [edit;] Apparently Lion isn't backwards compatible at all. O.o That sucks. | I go on facebook multiple times a day, leaving it open in a background tab while I do other things. I don't seem to have the Top News thing, but I do have all the other annoying changes.
I got a Google+ as soon as it was open to the public. I swear it was taunting me with the limited field trial. I think this is my link. Also, I recently got a MyYearbook. It's like MySpace used to be. I swear, if you're female and have self-esteem issues, go there, slap up a semi attractive photo of yourself, and just wait for the mails to roll in about how gorgeous you are. I swear people there are desperate, but I love the compliments. XD |

I'm the type that sticks to one or two sites at a time. Once I decide I like something, I stick with it. Lately, I've actually been having several tabs open at once. Yahoo webmessenger for texting, Google+, Facebook, ImmortalNight, and MyYearbook. And randomly google for necessary searches. Like lyrics to Viking metal songs and then translations of said songs. Apparently, there was a viking named Jeff, according to GoogleTranslate. |

| It used to be that my favorite part of fall was Halloween. This year, I don't think I'll celebrate Halloween. I think I'll just celebrate Samhain.
Since this is my second Samhain, and my first anniversary since I dedicated myself to my religion, I decided I needed to spend this month preparing for it (especially as my dedication ceremony was so much fail). Part of my preparation, is going to be making a wand and a besom. I've already started my wand. Another thing I like about October, as already mentioned a few times, is that it's Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Last year, on the game I play, I got a bunch of people to use BCA signatures and display pics. It was pretty epic. |

| My mom was going to do a hyphenated name when she mrried my dad, but he said that the only thing he could give her was his name. So she took it.
Which s really romantic, I think. (Too bad he turned out to be an abusive douche.) For me, personally, I'm on the fence. I hate my last name, for the same reason as Nelrith. I mean, Cook isn't nearly as common as Johnson, but it's still pretty darn common. So is the name I used all growing up, Noble (My aforementioned father's name. I have my mom's maiden name). I really wish I had my biological father's name, just because my name would be so darn pretty. Julia Melene Rose. I love it. My mom says she wouldn't give him that satisfaction, though. So that's my reasoning for wanting to change my name. My reasoning for wanting to KEEP my name, is because there aren't any male Cooks in my family descended from my Grandfather. I think it'd be kinda cool if I kept our family name going. |

| I need a place to rant, and since my computer is dead, I have to use the wii, and out of the places I can rant at, this is one of the few that allows relgious discussion.
Anywho. I'm Wiccan. Wicca, for those who don't know, is a Neopagan religion focusing on Nature. Witchcraft is involved, but casting spells isn't a requirement. It's mostly just ceremony and communing with deities and spirits. I'm a horrible Witch. I always forget Sabbats (holidays, basically) and haven't done a single full moon ceremony. Since Samhain (Witches' New Year) is coming up, I wanted to actually celebrate. So, I've decided to spend October preparing, making a wand and a besom, and preparing chants and my ceremony and such. Now, my mom is Christian. She's not one of those Super Christians who are annoying and pushy with their religion, and she's actually very open to other religions. She just doesn't like Witchcraft. Out of respect for her, since I live in her house, I don't cast spells, and I refer to myself as "Pagan" not "Wiccan." This afternoon, I accidentally came out of the broomcloset to her. x.x I said "I'm Wiccan" instead of "I'm Pagan." She slapped me on the arm, and told me to "stop being so childish." Now, I was studying Wicca for months before I dedicated myself. I've been Wiccan almost a year. It's not something I'm doing for attention, and it's not a phase. I'm serious about this. Wicca and Paganism in general are the only religions to actually make me EXCITED to study and worship. Christianity bored me. Wicca is my path, and that's not going to change. She later told me that she feels that I'm using religion as a way to keep people at bay with my weirdness, which I admit, I do seem to do with some of the weird things I do. But Wicca is not one of them. I try to keep my religion to myself, unless I get really excited about something. Idunno, I guess I might be being over-sensitive about this, but it really hurt me. I guess my rant's over now. Thanks for reading it. ^^ |

| The funny thing is, is my mom actually practices healing magick, even though she doesn't recognise it as such. She rubs her hands, focuses her energy and tries to draw out pain. She also believes in a lot of New Agey stuff.
I guess her issue is the stigma of Witchcraft. Christianity doesn't like Paganism, so we're condemned to a supposed Hell for Witchery. |

| I'm sorry, I didn't mean to imply that Christianity itself is boring, just that it bores ME. I've been to Churches with people speaking in tongues, and frankly, it disturbed me. Church itself makes me uneasy. I don't know why.
Of course, it could be because, as another Pagan recently told me, you don't become Wiccan, you're born one, whether you're raised it or not. So maybe my uneasiness in church is because of my natural afinity for Wicca. I don't know. |

| My aunt and my grandma (maternal) both have had cancer, and while I'm not positive, I'm pretty sure it was breast cancer.
I hate that the most I do in support of Breast Cancer Awareness is my lame jar of yogurt lids.  I want to do more. I guess I'd have to actually leave the house for that. |
