So uh... my day today.
Ali Larter gave me cookies she baked herself. Greg Grunberg ambushed me, putting his arm around me for pictures with the sign I made for the WGA picketing Universal Studios. Didn't realize Jack Coleman was standing behind me until I turned around. Jack Coleman, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Greg Grunberg and Dania Ramirez posed with my sign. Christine Rose, Masi Oka, Dana Davis, and all the others mentioned sang Christmas caroles with the lyrics changed to WGA strike-themed. I had an oddly comfortable conversation with Greg about Adrian Pasdar's YouTube videos (one of them is posted in my profile). Asked some of the writers about the show. Apparently were the full season to happen, Wireless/Hana would have been making a few choice appearances. Taught a couple people how to fold origami cranes. And watched Jeph Loeb and Kristen Bell get really into each other. ![]() EDIT: Pictures: http://flickr.com/photos/78171287@N00/sets/72157603434690508/ ![]() ![]() Posing with my sign. ![]() ![]() Masi walks the line. The one that kills me is "It's a Wonderful Life" playing on a loop (even worse when it's colorized). I tolerated that movie when I was a child, but now it's practically become unbearable to watch. | |||

If you do a bunch of these at the same time, you'll notice that various numbers have the same symbol.
Often you're going to get the same pattern of numbers, so they just put the same symbol on these. Example: Choosing 91 will get you 81. Choosing 99 also gets you 81. Pretty much any number in the 90s will get you 81. The same symbol as 81 will also fall on 18, since most of the numbers in the 20s will get you that. There's a reason why the chart disappears soon after they "reveal" what you got. (Last edited by Rogue on 12-13-07 03:23 PM) |

I'm at school right now, in the open access computer lab.
NO ONE is able to access Google while all other sites seem to be working fine. The lab techs are saying that Google appears to be down, but I'm not sure how true that is seeing as our lab techs aren't exactly knowledgable about most things computer-related. They're also saying that the occasional person in here using MySpace is slowing down our server. So the time is now 10:10 a.m. PST, I'll probably leave the lab to study for a bit and then go off to class. Anyone know anything? |

Maybe it was down for a few minutes?
It magically started working again over here a couple minutes ago. |

I wasn't there when it happened, but damn is it still funny.
If you've been following some of the news of the strike Carson Daly decided to return to the airwaves sans writers ("Last Call" had writers?!) and sending around e-mails asking for jokes from non-union family and friends to tell on the show, Carson's show was ambushed last night. http://defamer.com/hollywood/guerilla-tactics/striking-writers-disrupt-carson-daly-taping-ruining-his-talk-show-christmas-333017.php Originally posted by The Defamer |

Apparently no one read my post. ![]() Here's the pattern, and all of the symbols that fall on these are the same. 10-19: 9 20-29: 18 30-39: 27 40-49: 36 50-59: 45 60-69: 54 70-79: 63 80-89: 72 90-99: 81 You'll also notice the pattern is in multiples of 9, and the symbols repeat themselves after the 9th one. It's not creepy or magical. It's just a math trick. (Last edited by Rogue on 12-13-07 03:20 PM) |

Originally posted by XeoLVII I remember, in middle school, when girls were swooning over him since he was on TRL on MTV. I didn't get it then, I don't get it now. Why does anyone like him at all? He's a talking head with no personality who happened to date starlets before they became what they are now. I'm wondering when this happened, since I was at NBC that whole day and it's possible that some of the people I was picketing with were in that studio audience. It's other things like this that appear on the show that somewhat irk me: http://www.nbc.com/Last_Call_with_Carson_Daly/video/#mea=178076 |

Heh, it's just another of these games that's really cool and then you take a couple minutes to analyze and then suddenly the magic's gone.
Kinda like when I used to show this trick to people in the late '90s: http://www.couponspot.com/cardtrick.htm |

I'm tired of these fangirls that I've been surrounded by recently.
I'm talking the ones who swarm famous people and then giggle wildly, about them being their "close, personal friends" online saying things like, "He repeated my name back to me! OMG!!" Noob. Same people are the fucking dense fanbrats who show up at picket lines claiming to support the writers, who aren't getting paid their fair share, wearing bootleg helix necklaces they got off E-Bay from people in Southeast Asia. Um... if you're all about the creators getting their fairshare why are you wearing something that they didn't get paid for and infringes on their copyrights? I believe this an appropriate time for *headdesk* (Last edited by Rogue on 01-09-08 07:26 PM) |

*Bump*
Some new posters for the Dark Knight movie have hit the web recently: http://newest.movieposterdb.com/movie/468569 As far as I know the first three and the one with the Joker's face painted on the wall are official, but I'm not sure about the others. |

I just heard a really crazy theory that I'm beginning to like...
I do caution you, that if you read this, you must not get angry or anything thinking I spoiled something. I simply heard this on another forum and am repeating it here. Not official or anything, but down right cool in its own way. You know the cockroach that you always see here and there? The one that was in the cell at Primatech with Sylar? The one standing on the brick Sylar used to kill the guy who was going to turn in Maya and Alejandro in Mexico? Remember how Mohinder was saying to his class in the very first episode about how cockroaches are much more evolved than man and that he believes that if the most evolved is that which is created in God's image, therefore he believes that God is possibly a cockroach? The theory I just read about suggests that the cockroach is really the believed-to-be-dead Dallas Petrelli. Just checking up on Sylar, can transform into an animal and heads up the Company as the strongest of them all. All we know about Dallas is that he somehow had a mental ability, but if he's the most powerful it would explain how his son, Peter, became an empath. |

Whenever people ask Zachary Quinto about eating brains (be it from fans or interviewers), he ALWAYS corrects them in some way saying something about "Yeah, if he's actually eating brains" or something of the like.
When I heard about that, I wondered if he was able to open his head, take the part of the person's brain that held the ability and fasten it into his own head, assimilating the power. Major problem with that: he doesn't have spontaneous regeneration and would just end up killing himself, hence why he was seeking Claire (well that and for immortality, I seriously thought Sylar was going to kill Kensei this season). Another thing that sort of makes me laugh to think about it is that God is always referred to as the clockmaker, as in he created the world/universe/everything and sits back, watching it work. Sylar fixes timepieces. ![]() (Last edited by Rogue on 12-15-07 05:55 PM) |

Cally sat back in her plush, leather desk chair after about an hour's worth of tedious paperwork in her office. Tilting and turning her head, audible cracking sounds could be heard from her popping her neck.
She placed her hand in her coat pocket, retrieving her cellphone. She held down the 1 key for her voicemail's speed-dial code. She held the phone to her ear and listened for the ring. (Last edited by Rogue on 12-15-07 07:23 PM) |

Cally looked up, just as the automated message began talking.
Hearing what her coworker said, she hung up the phone, sighed inwardly to herself, rose from her desk and headed down the fluorescent-lit hallway, arriving at a set of wooden double doors. She cautiously knocked. |

So I went to the so-called "secret" episode screening last night, which was more like a preview and then a screening of "Powerless" while the actors happened to be there.
THESE ARE ABSOLUTELY SPOILERS, granted in preview form that you'll probably see eventually, but SPOILERS NONETHELESS : Spoiler:
- The first couple clips were from the most recent episode, showing Nathan getting shot. - Shortly after that it turned into a montage of various shots of ALL of the specially-abled characters scattered around Primatech DEAD. Hiro had the Kensei sword through him, Matt was sitting in an office with his throat slashed, Claire's dead body (wearing the original Union Wells High School cheerleaders' uniform) was being dragged through a dark and bloody hallway, Micah and Monica lay lifeless and bloody on the floor, etc. (This was quite possibly a future view, if not a dream sequence). - Sylar, LOTS and LOTS of Sylar. - As Volume 3 is to be called "Villians," we have some new bad guys coming to the table. Bennet says they're like 12 Sylars being unleashed on the city. One of them is a black man who apparently has speed as his power. There's a shot of him running at a cop and either burying his fist in him or pulling out his heart (either way the next shot of him, he has blood up to his elbow and the cop is definitely dead). - Other scenes included Sylar being strapped to a table while verbally-sparring with Elle, Ando seemingly about to be hit by a truck, and Angela standing by herself (looks like at Primatech) and some hands come up over her shoulders and then Sylar steps out from behind her. That's all of what I can remember, so yeah. The event wasn't anything truly special outside of that Stan Lee was given an award and Doug Jones got to present it. They had the actors there, but they didn't get to say much. The French guys who ran the film festival were really curious about Hayden though, so she got to talk about her trying to save the dolphins in Japan and so on and so forth. Zoso and I got to go for free since the Jules Verne Festival people were sending out passes in e-mails. Our friend, Pam, though paid $200 to sit 3 rows ahead of us. ![]() EDIT: THIS IS PART OF IT!! http://www.heroes-france.com/news_1197829289.htm This was NOT supposed to be posted anywhere, but the French have defied Tim Kring and Jeph Loeb. That link above has a video that shows part of the preview I saw last night. Watch it before it disappears! Note: Click the button that says "Afficher" and the video pops up.
