There it is. I'm looking forward to using this new character out.

*Damten shoves his Lion's Claw into the ground and leans against the pole. Blinks his one eye, the other under his eyepatch, until he almost falls asleep. Waits and waits and waits...*

OOC: Whoops. Forgot about the arena! Thats cool though, it's probably better that you chose it anyway.

ic:

Damten had nodded off but awoke at the sound of somebody's voice.

"Hm? A fight. Thats what I'm here for."

His white coat had been buttoned up - being so close to a city, he didn't want to stand out too much by having whatever armor he had show. It was bad enough he had to carry around a spear and wear an eyepatch. He wasn't about to give up the chance of his first fight in a new land with some police officer. 'Just tell them you... cosplay... or whatever they call it here. That gives me reason enough for my looks' he continually told himself. He pulled the Lion's Claw from the ground and held it, the actual Claw pointing to the ground in front of his new enemy.

Damten scratched at the hair that formed his sideburn-moustache connection "You're a youngster, you've still got color to your hair. I hope my style isn't too berserk for you. You seem to have gotten dressed up for a different occasion..." *he undoes the buttons to his white, fur lined coat, exposing his light armor* "I play it safe when in new places."

After adjusting his thin white gloves, Damten smiles and readies his spear. It looks smaller in this world, like an average spear. No matter. He held the spear with both hands and challenged Alex to make the first move.

"I've nigh killed Death itself. Its only fair to let you go first."

Damten had managed to bend backwards before the weapon could cut his neck, and, to no surprise for him but possibly his enemy, managed to block the attack for his legs. As for his chest, a new scar ran lightly over the previously unblemished shell.

"Death in my world..." he swung the Lion's Claw around and upwards into his enemy's chin, making sure it was the blunt edge and not the hook "is of more than bone and blade." he watched and began in his original position, both hands reaching towards each end of the Lions Claw, holding it in a defensive manner. He looked at Alex as he regained his composure from the attack.

"Death is a Lion, and you've felt the blunt mercy his Claw."

He took a dash and jabbed forward, punching the Claw into his enemies chest, knocking him back, but nothing more. He stood once again in his defensive pose.

"And I've too defeated Death. I've tamed his very claws."

Wow, I didn't see this one before. That was pretty sweet. It made me actually a bit anxious to see what would happen to the person in the poem. That was a pretty strong ending - I like the ones that go out in a bang. Good job!

I want a kid. Maybe one or two, but no more. One boy, one girl. Balance! Either that or nothing. I dunno what I'd name them, but I'm sure I want to procreate someday. Just to see if its possible for my sweet ass genes to be passed onto another generation.

Commando or Boxers. Nothing else.

I mean, nothing else as in, I wouldn't wear tighty whiteys or thongs. And not nothing else as in "nothing other than my boxers... or commando".

For fruits, definetly Bananas. Bananas rock the boat. The Banana Boat... I don't like anything that you have to eat the skin with (apples, plums, pears) though I do like them without the skin.

Vegetables... potatoes, cabbage (boiled or sourkraut style) probably any kind of bean, turnips, sweet potatoes, broccoli, corn, I HATE onions though. Onions, zuccini, and brussel sprouts. All are gross.

Damten nearly laughed at the wit of his opponents last remark.

"We must be speaking of different manifestations of death. Where I am from, Death does not give you the chance to save someone elses life; most of the time, not even your own."

He stood stock still when the blast came from all directions. Had he known what it was, he would have ran. Little magic is used in his homeland of Everywhereland - its use had died out long ago, and what few powers he knew of, he rarely used. But they were nothing like the blast that had hit him. He fell to one knee and held tight to the Lion's Claw, which he had placed claw first into the ground for support.

The smoke cleared. The hair on the very top of his head was gone, but the back and sides were left.

"Shame. It was bound to fall out soon anyway. I'm getting old, fellow. But death isn't at my door yet. I've led him to his own, and he sleeps in his den. It may be impossible to kill Death, but to ensue slumber to keep him from your soul... aye, my secret is out."

After brushing himself off, Damten took a high swing, using both arms, at his opponents head. He didn't expect it to land, but he needed to be on the offensive once again.

"For those like myself, Death isn't an agressive creature. No matter what happens, no matter how destroyed my body becomes, I am void of Death until I choose awaken it again. You've a chance to win, though, if I choose to succumb."

He took a downward swing upon Alex's head after his other attack had barely missed.

Naming your character was a large portion in the Character Creation guide made by Cyro, and of course a vital part in making that specific character you want to create. This site gives you a plethora of names - each one with their derived meanings. You can choose from multiple different cultures - even hit a randomizer button that will give you a name based on a simple choice of gender and nationality. There are even mythological names, and in the randomizer you can get Witch, Fairy, and even Transformer names if you so wish. Its really a great site if you're stuck on a name for a new character. Its easy to navigate too; you can search a name you already know to see what the backgrounds and origins of it are. You can also search for namesakes, meanings to the name, and the popularity of the name.

Just go check it out - I'm sure it'll help someone who can't think of a name.

"Oh, you see it as everyone else does... eternal life is not a fair game at all. I have to live with every killing blow I recieve. The enemy may disable my body and tear out my heart - he may lop every limb from my body and tear off my head, but my body and soul will live on, feeling the pain forever, never dying, never numb..."

Damten stepped back. He shook his head. "You're the one at the advantage. You can die. Shall I show you the mercy of your worlds death?"

He took at mad dash at Alex, swinging the Claw to and fro, attempting to block whatever hits came his way.

'We'll melee for now... I need a trick. Its a tricky world, and power alone won't do...' He thought to himself as he took diagonal swoops at his enemy.

Oh, theres nothin' to laugh at about it - its a real thing, many people have witnessed this light but lived to tell about it. Read the book Life After Life if you're really interested to see what is before that and what is beyond. Its an interesting read, and I think it pertains to the happening that occured in the poem.

Yeah, thats what happened to me. I was looking for a name for an RP I wanted to join, but I kept getting sidetracked by looking at other ones that were there. Most of the names, I found, were derived from Latin names.

Honore Faustine (oh-no-ray faws-ten)
31
France

CQC - 3
Gunplay - 6
Leadership - 2
Technological Knowledge - 3
Business Sense - 6

Honorable and lucky - is it possible to have the two together? In Honore Faustine's case, the ability to combine the two had become one attribute that has created this French thief's legendary status. From the bays at Le Harve to the rooftops of Marseille, Faustine had single handedly stolen the over 300 renowed pieces of art and managed to never be caught. His head is currently number one on Frances bounty list, with a price that equals the amount of each painting stolen - nearly over 750 Million french euros. His villa in the french countryside is just above modest, but proves to be a venerable base of operations for his work. An ever trusting, modest man, Faustine is no advocate of loyalty and nobility, but is merely lucky enough to save his own ass along with others. He, of course, had been chased, and that is where his combat skills had come into play, but it is his sense of business and ability to bewilder, confuse, and outsmart the law so many times that has made him a man worth hiring for the overthowing of the United Kingdom. Honore packs a Krieghoff Luger and a set of three throwing knives - he's armed, but not very dangerous.
