Um, I am in at least one band currently, which was called Supersuit, but for now we're going as beastFromwater for a while. The latter is the name of a chapter from the book Lord of the Flies, with the spaces taken out. There were a few other ideas for names, which I guess would be worth mentioning.
Carpet Mower Frozen Fire The Kamikaze All-Stars Serious Putty This thing I'm in right now is probably going to end up having an experimental rock feel, though I wish I was in a jam band. |

well, grades are not good things to measure intelligence with. I know I got A's in Symphony Band, Jazz Band, and Manufacturing Tech., and I think overall an A in chemistry, probably a B in english, I at least proved to the teacher I was capable of getting an A in American History, and probably a C in math :/. Homewrk counts too much in that class. This was better than last year, when my gpa jumped from 3.4ish to 2.6 in the last part.....
ok:grades in order, even though i have block scheduling C? C A [studyhall type thing that doesn't count] B A? A A |

I heard the song Vicarious, it was amazing. Kind of reminded me of Dream Theater's New Millenium. I don't like Tool that much, they seem to be too ambient for me. APC had more songs that I liked the sound of. Anyway, I'll plan on listening to this whole album, at a friend's house sometime soon, since at least 3 people i know have bought it or will.

This brings to mind the boring American theme songs they had for Dragonball Z, the Japanese theme, 'We Gotta Power', was so much better . I don't think too many anime openings are very good nowadays, DBGT has probably the worst opening for any show ever.
FMA's opening, at least the first season, was great. Are you talking about the songs later on in the series? |

hey guys. Some of you probably remember me. I stopped posting like over a year ago for no apparent reason. I guess it was from browsing 4chan nonstop and just not having the will power to some back and introduce myself again. A few newish things about me:
*I'm 17 now, which is quite alright. no drivers' license or job, but I manage. *I got really, really, into music. In addition to trombone, I play keyboard, bass, and guitar, and I've become a huge prog rock fan. *I still draw, but not as much, since my creativity shifted more to music *I'm still Christian, but a little bit wiser, meaning I won't flame anyone for being gay or liking black metal *when I mentioned being on 4chan all the time, I meant mostly the mecha and music boards, not so much /b/. *I kind of miss sim-battling, and may get back into that. |

I saw a movie called Street Trash. It's about hobos, and this crazy booze that makes them melt. It also has to do with Viet Nam flashbacks, a junkyard/hobo residence, and really doesn't have much of a plot. Supposedly the actors are from a Shakespearian company. Anyway, this is the stupidest movie ever, in a good or bad way. I think the best/stupidest scene is when one of the hobos melts on and in a toilet as he's flushing it, and turns into a purple mess with the Toxic Avenger face. This actually exists.

Frank Zappa named his kids Dweezil, Moon Unit, Ahmet, and Diva. Those names I can live with because they aren't expressions, and don't include numbers. On another note, 4Real would be a sweet name because it technically comes before everything alphabetically :p I think this guy will end up changing his mind sometime in his life, or the child will realize that having a good name for a rapper is rather uncouth if he plans on working/socializing and change it..
"what's your name?" "4real" "what? Did you just try to complete my sentence?" "no man! my name is 4real" "well obviously it's not because I haven't heard it yet" |

his name is Ewan Dobson, but the point is he's jawsome at guitar, and has a sense of humor about it at the same time. If you enjoy neoclassical as much as I do, you'll find these excellent.

meh, 13/20's not bad
I relied almost completely on the eyes of the people, but this was a really well done test and they threw some odd ones in there. I've never understood the point in faking a smile, but oh well. |

I kind of agree with this list, even though Elfen Leid is not without substance and Gundam Wing is just as good as most of the UC series. Also, the Bio Broly movie is too laughable not to watch. Broly makes a third and final appearance as a melting brown thing. It seems like this reviewer hates abuse of fan service and unnecessary extensions to good shows, which is fine with me.
*edit*Super Milk Chan is the best! This dude must not have a very good sense of humor. (Last edited by Van Rhanell on 06-29-07 06:25 PM) |

well, there's me. Not lucky enough to have facial hair, but at least it's an accurate representation of what I do most of the time. |

MELT BANANA!
I can't believe nobody's mentioned them yet. They're a noise rock band (like Primus, but with more guitar than bass and female vocals). They tour in the US a lot so I really want to see them. Also, Merzbow is an industrial/noise project that's been around for 30 years, and is vaguely within the confines of 'music', which is why it's awesome. There's also a metal band called Sigh. Their myspace has some pretty impressive songs. |

yes, that happened while listening to Wilco, and I had a wierd, psychedelic sort of daydream.
have you ever been eating something like a hamburger, ate it without realizing it, then searched the house for it because you're convinced you lost it? |

this chart always makes me chuckle.
God has control of everything, so technically 100% of human deaths can be contributed to him. But then of course He has created every human being, so God really has full right to do whatever He wants. Since we're alive and discussing this, I'd say God has a positive birth/death ratio. Also, the Bible is supposed to be taken as truth, which can be very literal or very symbolic according to a particular book's purpose. I'm sure it is the most truthful thing in print (well there are math books, but some of the answer keys have errors ), being that everyone has so many disputes over it. |
