| Often because of the way the pentacle is portrayed in the media, people get a lot of misleading ideas.
Example: In Tenacious D's recent movie "The Pick of Destiny," they show pentacles in various scenes to either channel the mystical, magical metal that only Satan himself can spew, and even their version of Satan has an inverted pentacle on his chest. After reading into it (and it's even addressed in the article in various places), the pentacle represents the elements: earth, fire, wind, water, and spirit. It's a symbol of empowerment, much like the cross, Jesus fish, the Star of David, the Om symbol, and the crescent moon are for people of other faiths. By a government institution like Veteran Affairs acknowledging and recognizing Wicca as a faith, it opens the door for more people to gain a greater understanding of it and in turn be more open to the religious views and philosophies of others. |

| Bumped for adding to the thread (also it'd be lame to start a new one when there's one here).
I've lately been playing a lot of Final Fantasy XII. I like it, but I keep breaking from the story to run around leveling up and doing the clan missions. In the actual story, I had beaten the Tomb of Wraithwall (sp?) and am supposed to be heading past the Giza Plains. I have all of my characters at high 20s levels. While Balthier is a damn good-looking rogue, it's all about Basch.  I like the rugged types. And to me, facial scars (especially over and around eyes) are HOT.

Oh heck yeah. I BS'd my way through middle school and got A+s on projects just because they thought the topic was sophisticated enough. Totally pissed off my at-the-time best friend who used to spend weeks researching and working out how to type things, while I left things to the last night.

See, I don't know exactly what the worst would be for me since all the ones I own have their own little perks despite sucking in other ways.

I really liked Lady Snow Blood, but the last volume seemed to mostly gravitate toward more and more lesbian sex and ended what had potential to be a great saga of revenge and intrigue on a really shitty note much too quickly (only 4 volumes?! WHAT?!). Don't get me wrong, I love the short ones, but the first three were building up the suspense and action for something much grander. On the other hand, TokyoPop's putting out much more terrible creations. Seriously, does everything have to be turned into a manga?
