| He pondered for a moment what to say, and how best to put it. He was on a mission to challenge the best fighters he could, a personal mission mind you.

Call it an impulse if you will, but the thrill of combat is one of the only things I enjoy anymore." Xeios still stood beside the being, not entirely sure what to make of it. It's many eyes were quite unsettling, but Xeios had seen worse. Xeios' left hand took on a dim glow, preparing some defensive magic. |

| At the rash movement of Tectalus, Xeios quickly rose his hands and turned his body to defend himself. He smiled as his foolishness when he realized his foe was merely placing distance between the two of them.
"You can keep your titles, I am Xeios, and I have held many titles in my day, none of which mean very much in the grand scheme of things." Xeios' eyes fluttered between the pebbles that were quivering on the ground. he was preparing for an impressive action from his enemy, hopefully in a defensive nature. Xeios opened the palm of his hand, and thrust it forward, generating a large blast of white energy which exploded from his hand like a shockwave. This magic had a great nature about it, the blast would destroy whatever type of magic was used to block it, though it wouldn't do anything to hurt an actual organic creature. So essentially this attack acts as a smoke-and-mirror type effect. Destroying the enemies magical shields, but not harming them, so that Xeios' second attack would hopefully get through. Xeios' second attack was a shot fired from his revolver, aimed directly at where Tectalus' heart would be if he were human. (ooc -- Such as the Middle-weight belt thing I technically 'possess' even though I've never had anyone challenge for it, and I won it years ago. :V Also keep in mind, Tectalus would have no idea of what this ability does, and for all intents and purposes it looks like an actual attack.) |

That's the problem with Superman, he's literally becoming invincible. There's no way to kill him whatsoever, because he's overpowered. Lock him in a coffin made of Kryptonite, and he's get really weak, and fall into a death-like trance. Leave him under there for hundreds of years. Boom, when you least expect it, something will happen to the coffin, and he'll wake up like nothing ever happened. :V |

| With quick thinking, Xeios brought his left arm across his body, simultaneously blocking and deflecting the force of the blow away from his body. As he did this, he slid his body behind the arm which was deflecting the blow, in case any other extensions were made to Tectalus' arm. With his movement to block the punch, he managed to avoid the rock, which came from the ground. (if my understanding is correct, description was vague) But now, Tectalus was very, very close to Xeios, and one more shot was fired at the center of the beasts chest. | |||

| There is another problem with gauging magical exhaustion: There's no way to determine, for a fact at least, how much energy it would take to sustain any and all of these abilities. Strictly speaking, using any magic should force an insurmountable strain on the human body. Now, depending on the 'origin' of the magical power, and whether it comes from within you, or if you are merely a conduit for a greater power, the amount of strain would totally be different.
Take Cairoi for example: Theoretically, while Cairoi may be in control of the earth, he is only impressing his will upon an outside force.(The Earth, essentially utilizing the 'limitless' power of the Earth god Gaia) This should only cause a decrease in performance after incredibly long battles, as he is merely controlling things by will, and not necessarily any force from within himself. Cairoi then, could be weakened by external forces, as well as his own mental aptitude. For instance, were Gaia to feel as though Cairoi was not being as devout as he should be, he could neglect to devote as much energy to Cairoi. (These are all just thoughts tossed around in my head, mind you, nothing set in stone, just giving examples.) Now, take Xeios (in his current form, not the shitty OP-borderline-god-mod version he was before, like all other sim-battlers of their time): Xeios utilizes defensive magic to block and reflect attacks, this magic comes from magical runes which have been placed upon his body. Most of these runes are located upon his hands, for easy access, but covered under the bandages to add mystique, as well as protect his hands. Now, Xeios is using the power of the runes to do two things with his combat style: defend himself from harm, and absorb energy that his foe throws at him. So, Xeios should weaken more rapidly than fighters like Cairoi, as he is directly using power within himself, but he is able to keep at an equivalent level with his foes by drawing strength from their attacks. |

(@Phoenix, your 0 Kelvin object is really cool, but you can't go anywhere near it for fear it would freeze you, and even protective clothing/heat or whatever you throw at it doesn't help since it's eternally 0 K, so unfortunately, you only have something that you can look at from very far away. And by look at, I mean to protect yourself it's surrounded by twelve foot thick lead walls.) I wish I could corrupt more things. |
