| Xeios reacted quickly, he planted his feet squarely on the ground, and waited for the rocks to come to him, charging his shield as he did. When the rocks were about to collide, he thrust his shoulder into them, forcing out a potent shockwave, which destroyed the rocks that would hit him, and aimed to strike Cairoi. The potency of the shockwave was diminished greatly after tearing through the rock, but it still packed a moderate punch. Xeios felt the rush of combat once more, loving every minute of the battle they were in. | |||

Xeios smiled lightly as the being before him seemed to notice his presence. He had short black hair, messed around though he had just awoken. Continuing to walk forward, Xeios stepped beside his foe. Piercing green eyes scanned the desert before them. There was nothing imposing about Xeios, he appeared to be an average guy, tall, though carrying an agile frame. A white button-down adorned his chest, green jeans covering his legs, and all coming down to some black high-top sneakers. The most expensive looking item in his possession appeared to be the Peacemaker at his side. Held tightly in a leather holster, the revolver was quite simple in make, and didn't have a lavish design that was visible. Xeios clenched his fists together, cracking several knuckles along the way. His forearms were wrapped in cloth bandages, to keep himself from being potentially hurt from hitting something incorrectly during the fast pace of combat. "Beautiful land you have here." |

| It's exactly the same as every other Dragon Quest except your character can be 'created' from a bunch of presets, and eventually you can change classes.
So, yes, it's fantastic. |

| So, why did the gaming industry stop using sprites?
I mean, certain games like Odin Sphere and stuff still use them, but a really artfully done sprite looks way better than any 3d game. Simply because the detail is much more crisp, as well as there is a lack of things bringing the sprites down. There wouldn't be any issue with Anti-Aliasing or anything like that, simply because those are mostly issues with rounded objects being rendered on a 2d surface. A 2d surface shouldn't have any problems with a 2d render. Also, Sprites are timeless. Certainly it can be argued that if something's using sprites it's old, but sprites age significantly better than 3d technology. |
