| Side note about "Twilight"...I began to dislike the series more and more the further I got. By the third book somewhere, I realized I was only reading the rest of it to see if it got better, for one, and to have bitching rights if it didn't. No, it wasn't meant to be this grand piece of literature. It was meant for entertainment. And, I'll admit, I was entertained by the first book. It was just shit from there...
But yeah...fuck you to people who harass you at your own job and then shit themselves because they decided to harass you at the end of your shift and you clock out. (Yay ruining their idea of saftey though.  )
And a BIIIIIIGGGGG fuck you to professors who hype you up with all sorts of respect about them and excitement because you think you're forming a network in a VERY competitive career field...but only turn out to be perverts who don't take "no" for an answer. |

| My sister and I got several bright ideas.
One of 'em was tying a rubber band to the hose from our kitchen sink. My mom ended up falling for that one...then got mad and did her Godzilla march throughout the house...destroying all in her path. XDXD Needless to say, there's another notch in the door from my mother grabbing me b the throat and slamming me into it... It was so worth it though. XD |

| Yeah, it did seem a little quiet this year. Truthfully, I'd rather that than have a bajillion lame shit out there. Let the media recharge and come up with better things for next year. **shrugs**

| "Hmph." Hardly bothering to stifle her partial giggle, she never even bothered to lift her brown eyes from the book they were supposed to be looking over. "The Great Gatsby" had just been passed down to them. The majority of the class had groaned. Katie, simply yawned.
Been there. Read that. she thought to herself. Unlike most people she knew, Katie actually read for her own amusement. Once she tired of the books geared toward her age, she managed to snag something one of her older sisters had to read. This book in particular, this, "American Dream" or something-or-other themed novel had been on her list of finished books for a while now. Therefore, while her eyes remained on the book, her attention wandered elsewhere. To the teacher, writing some notes on the board, to the girl in the front row, blowing that bubble that Katie secretly hoped would pop in her face. The giddy couple in the back, passing their notes, thinking they're being descrete. The boy a few seats in front of her. The one who nearly made her giggle. Her boredom subsided when the teacher was done with the notes and it was their turn to copy them. Copying notes was never somethign Katie minded. It always helped to pass the time, and today, she realized after looking up at the clock, the notes would take the rest of the class time. Sure enough, the moment she put her pen down, the bell rang. Releived to be done with her classes for the day, she rose to her feet, quietly pushing her seat back against her desk. She shoved her belongings in her bag and smothed out her denim mini-skirt before striding toward the door. |

"No biggie." Was all she said. With the flick of the wrist, her long, straight black hair was tossed behind her once again, cascading to her waist. She paused, allowing Cody to exit the room first, to prevent another collision, and continued along her plotted course to her locker. |

| Katie shrugged. "Doesn't matter to me any. Hockey practice was cancelled today, so, I'm stuck with nothing on the adgenda." She says, fumbling around with her locker combination.
"Unless you plan on rescuing me from my boredom. Then I might rejoice in the fact that this part of the day is over." She says, now fumbling around the inside of her locker, taking out what she needed for the night and putting away what she did not. After a moment or two, she slammed her locker shut and looked over at John. "Shall we?" She asks, gesturing toward the door with a swooping motion. |

| After a moment or two of silence, Katie bursted with laughter. Her sense of humor was one of her many curses. She didn't scowl down at strange occurrences, deeming people strange and inferior to her. To her, that sort of disposition was a waste of time. Being superior, afterall, is a task in itself. So instead, Katie found moments like those to be utterly hilarious.
She wasn't paying enough attention to notice the lockers shaking or the wind passing them by. Instead, she found herself looking directly at Cody. "Sleeping in class is one thing." She musters through her fits of laughter. "Drooling a little comes with the sleep. I can see that." She paused, her cheeks growing more flushed by the second. "But sleep walking? THAT'S a new one!" At this point, she was nearly pointing as she laughed. She couldn't help it. "You got balls, Cody." She announces as he was walking away, too busy laughing to hear the earthquake comment. "We're going to dinner anyway, care to join us?" She calls after him. However, she didn't bother to wait long for his answer. She herself hated being put in situations like that. Getting invites she wants to say no to. She knew he'd head toward the door with them if he wished to tag along, yet in tugging John along their original path, she was sparing Cody the option to verbalize his possible decline. | Katie glanced behind her and smirked. "Good. You've decided to come."
"This is John." She says, pointing to her friend. "And John, that's Cody. He's in a few classes of mine." She really didn't know what else to say as far as introductions went. She didn't have much of a phobia when it came to being social, which hindered her, at times. Instead of waiting things out and gaining more information, Katie was in a precarious situation before she knew what hit her. "There's my car over there." She says, tilting her head in it's direction. "If you have a ride of your own, then by all means. If not, no worries, I'll drop you off where ever you like when we're done." She wasn't even looking at Cody as she spoke. While maintaining eye contact was a big thing for Katie, she also knew how to talk and continue functioning at the same time. She didn't take people for fools either, unless proven otherwise. She knew Cody would know to whom she was speaking. |

| She shrugged. "I gotta get something within the hour or my sugar will drop." She says. It took her years, but she finally got the timing down just right. As long as she ate around certain times, then her sugar rarely dropped.
"We'll meet you there, I suppose?" She adds with another shrug. "Unless you wuss out on us. You already came this far, so I'll just beat you up tomorrow for wussing out on us." Katie says, nonchalantly, adding a wink to the equation. With that, she hopped into the grey peice of shit, some year or other, she had snagged for the day, unlocked the passenger side for John, and started her engine. |

First time I think I'm posting work since...well, in a while.  This is now, almost a year into art school now. These are primitive sketches though, the first I spent about 15 minutes on, the second about a half hour on. So...don't be fooled into expecting anything spectacular.
What I HAVE gotten better with, however, is the speed in which I can work, and if that's the only talent I have improved upon, well, it's better than nothing. 
As you can see, these are NOT my own original work. I looked at these images from FFIX, and just copied them. (A lot different than tracing though) **shrugs** S'just another skill I'm working on. To be able to to what it is that is expected of me (I hear that's how one gets hired continuously by clients. XD ) That, and fanart is just fun.
(Edit: The first was just practice, and I can even point out it's many flaws, but by all means, critique. The second, however, had a little more work put into it. | If no photoshop, what programs did you use? So far I've only gotten up to a little bit of Photoshop. Most of my first year is consisting of illustration, so I only have one computer class a week.
Anywho, not bad at all. I don't recognize the character. Is all of this original work? From the ground up? (Ie. drawing the image to what we see here) Either way this looks fantastic. And I don't think you're too bad with messing around with the lighting. But, we are our worst critics, so...I guess you would point out your flaws.  |

| Katie looked through her rearview mirror to see that Cody had pulled up behind her. With that, she put her vehicle into gear and peeled out of her spot like the lunatic she always drove like.
"I didn't think you were too comfortable with him." She says, keeping her eyes on the road. "Part of why I took pleasure in inviting him." She says, momentarily flashing her friend a grin. Her great powers of douchery weren't something she kept well hidden. "And if the guy's talking to himself, let him." She says, with a tone of nonchalance that matched her demeanor as she drove. Despite weaving in and out of traffic, and flooring it through the yellow lights, she was as relaxed as though she weren't driving at all. "It's not like we don't have our quirks." She shrugs. In a matter of moments, they were parked in the lot of "Flannigans" (OOC: Lmao Cairoi) After turning the engine, she opened her door and stepped out of the car. "You ready John?" She asks. Without even waiting for an answer, she leads the way to the building. Once they're inside, they are greeted by the hostess and led to their table. To her delight, they were given a booth right next to the window. Rushing to the seat closest to the window, she left the rest of the seating arrangements for the boys to decide. |

| For a second, Katie was a little disappointed. She and John always sat next to each other, even when it was just the two of them. She did, however, catch Cody's gazes in John's direction.
Hmmm...maybe... her thoughts trailed off. If what she was thinking was correct, then she knew a person or two she could introduce Cody to. John, however, may not be too pleased to find out that he has become her guineapig in deciphering Cody's interests. The thought couldn't help but make her giggle out loud. |
