In addition to four billion years away. If we're smart, we'll probably have figured out some sort of solution by then.

Of course, we're not, but maybe all the wars will lead to one as a side-effect.

I deleted my Facebook account ages ago, so it wouldn't affect me at all.

Twitter going down would be a minor annoyance, but it's mostly just a snark and venting outlet - which I can do just as easily through Skype.

I honestly never got into the "social media" thing much. Too cautious about who sees what - too paranoid, perhaps.

I only set up my FB account to deal with a woman (one of my uncle's exes) that had been harassing my at-the-time 13 or 14 year old cousin there. Never ended up getting used, she stopped before I got there.

This may have also influenced my opinion of the site.

Playing Team Fortress 2. Lemme copypaste a story from Jul.

Someone started giving me shit about only getting eight points in three rounds. I pointed out that I was only there for the third round. Next round ended fast, with a loss for my team. I stuck around, he continued being a twat, asking if I was sticking around for "another useless round". I go around a corner at one point and see someone there, oh look it's a spy. Oh look, it's the trash-talking retard, now bitching about w+m1 pyros, because clearly it wasn't the fault of an obvious hiding spot (and a little bit of luck in that I went there for healing). He then failed to accomplish much more than getting dominated by me and never managing a revenge kill.

End of match, my team won - but he left at some point before the end.

But what do you expect from someone named FUCKING FUCK FUCK?

(Edit: May also be worth noting that he had, until that last round, the second-highest score on the other team.)

Edit2: Yesterday's matches weren't all bad, though. I did get a laugh out of one Heavy's minigun. Name: "Hush, little baby," description "Don't you whine, Heavy's gonna buy you a respawn time."

Kinda wish he spent less money on me though.

I'm giving Dollar General my two weeks notice tomorrow, after almost four years. I have had enough of the bullshit. I have had enough of the company treating all of its employees like common criminals, constantly accusing us through non-subtle implication of stealing from the store. I have had enough of the shitty pay and nonexistent benefits (I expected them, but they only make the rest of this harder to endure). I have had enough of the threats of termination (our handbook has a pages-long list of reasons you can be fired). I have had enough of the middle- and upper-management incompetence.

And now that I finally have an escape route, I can tell them that I'm not gonna take it.

Now, I'm not in favor of eugenics, and holy fuck I never expected to have to say that, but seriously, there are a lot of people that should not breed.

It would be like saying that if you, as a man, woke up feeling hazy and drugged from a drink you had the night before, discovered your rectum bloodied and aching, semen leaking out. You don't know what happened to you or even if it was just one man or several who have raped you. You took an STI test and discovered you have HIV or AIDS, then was told you can't get any assistance in your medical bills.

It's just rape and unwanted pregnancy don't quite translate to men.


The problem with that, Rogue, is that most of these people are the same sort that would assume that them being raped is a physical impossibility.

They're kind of stupid is what I'm saying.
