| Premise:
Our dimension is not the first or only. There are an infinite amount out there, some destroyed, and others intact, all with different possibilities. But, they are all connected, that much cannot be disputed. In the original zenith of existence, known mythically as the Spark, there lies nothingness, save the Temple of the Dreamstone. The Dreamstone is the giant black stone that connects all dimensions to the Spark, and to each other. Each dimension has Stonegates, smaller versions of the Dreamstone that enable "jumping" from Dimension to Dimension. To protect the order of the multiverse and the safety of the Dreamstone, a group of people took the title of "Watchers". The Watchers reside at the Temple, and protect the natural order. Until one day, thousands of years ago, one of their own, one of their strongest, grew ambitious. Clouded by the dream of controlling existence, he attempted to take the Dreamstone's power for his own. He was stopped, and exiled from the Spark, after his memories were erased. Sent to live in the Darkland, where nightmares become reality, The Watchers assumed he would be tortured and kept imprisoned by the impossible, they returned to their normal duties. But one day, the exiled man learned the powers of nightmares. He learned how they were created, and mastered the magic. Cain escaped his prison of shadow and nightmares. Now, on our planet, our dimension, we find ourselves faced with a dark storm enveloping the entire planet. Dark creatures, billowing storm clouds encasing the entire planet, and unnatural natural disasters. Life continues on 3 months after what is known as "The Shadowfall", but the world is still racked with terror. Humanity outside of cities has been eradicated; with only the close-knit nature of urban life able to keep themselves protected. Is there any hope for humanity? We do not know. Character sheet: Name: Age: Appearance: Old Job/New Job: (Old Job being what you did before the “Apocalypse”, New Job being what you’re doing now. Like, gathering food, standing watch over the city, transportation, security, management, vague basic stuff needed to sustain a large group of people in trying times such as this). Nature: (Explained below.) History: (Where you originally came from, why you’re living in New York City, etc). Nature: The nature category will be used to describe three important character qualities your character has. It will make you able to do things much better then other characters as well as determine the combat style you will be using later in the RP and other things. It will be important throughout the RP. I won’t be saying what each trait affects you as, but some things your character do may backfire on you if you’re not good enough in an area. You may only choose a characteristic once; you may not just have three Athletics or Bookish. And please, try to be creative in the way you make your character. Don’t just play the same character as you always do. Experiment, do something different. You’ll see what the results are soon enough.  PM me with any trouble.

Age: 24 Gender: Male Appearance: Short, shaggy black hair, contrasted upon his olive complexion, muddied emerald eyes, and apparent facial hair. Think the lead singer of Maroon 5, Adam Levine, if you will. Wears a different set of clothes every day, and is occasionally picky when it comes to style, despite his financial position. History: He's lived a relatively simple life up so far. He was raised in a picture perfect suburban neighborhood, with a loving mother and jocular older brother. His father had been dead for many years, and his mother was still too affected by Ashton's father's death to speak to him about it. He went to college for a while, community college, before realizing he couldn't breathe in those conditions. So he's moved to the city, and living alone in his old convertible. He uses his good looks and social skills to meet local women, who offer him a nice bed, a warm shower, and some good company, so despite his vagrancy, he's managed to keep life going.. Old Job/New Job: Construction at his father's company/Security detail Nature: Brave, Intuitive, Athletic History: Aiden's life has been changed drastically since the Shadowfall. He used to do odd jobs for cash, like work at his dad's house building company and run deliveries in his hometown. When Shadowfall hit, it hit his hometown hard. The suburban town was set ablaze, and panic ran wild. Aiden did all he could, but it was all lost to the demonic beasts. He remembers seeing a man, a cloaked man leading, and he has never forgotten his face. Since that day, he fled to NYC, hoping to meet up with relatives and thinking a city would be the safest place. Luck was on his side that time. |
