| HAHAHAHA! I laughed about the carvings on the wall. It's so ridiculously true even in the women's bathrooms sometimes.
I think the reason why they call it a restroom is because it's a subtle euphemism. While working on a few newspapers, they use it in place of "restroom" for public lavatories because "bathroom" implies there's a bath in it and is found in someone's house, and "toilet" is a too crude (despite that they call it just that in Engliand and other places). Meh. I still laughed. |

| Xeo going to the party would not have implied him being untrue to his friends, just that he went to a party with another circle of friends. There's no betrayal in that. Gaining more friends and getting closer with new people is a normal part of life. We are social creatures afterall.

This is true for me since I've never actually been souzed out of my mind before. Been very, very tipsy (still not slurring words, and able to remember everything and walk straight, although purposely falling onto couches and beds was suddenly very fun and so many more things were funnier than they were supposed to be). But yeah, some people think that since I drank enough to be gone, I would be, so they tend to accuse me of being gone when I've still got a long way to go.

| Since I work in my college newspaper office and get paid pocket change, there are days I just don't show up at all. I don't have any set hours, I only get paid for a certain number of hours a week, and most of the time my boss just lays work on me even if I'm in the office just hanging out between classes and "not on the clock."
I'm really hating it since despite my being there for a couple years, I still feel like my boss is looking down his nose at me. The other day he called me into his office and accused me of something I didn't do (And I honestly didn't ... this time.  ), and despite my insistance that I was innocent, he still gives me this look like he thinks I'm dishonest from time to time.
Often times he gives me work that's not in my job's standard tasks, like writing stories or editing pages for the newspaper. It really is a bitch when you're laced with these things because despite having projects or papers that I might need to get done for classes, newspaper business must get done first. It's bad enough that I have fours teachers who act as though theirs is the only class I've got and get upset when no one does the reading. So in short, on days when I'm supposed to be there, I often just say fuck it and leave my things in the office (so I don't have to carry them around town) and hang out somewhere else. /rant (Last edited by Rogue on 10-29-06 04:13 PM) |

Kinda reminds me of watching the first season of American Idol and there was that girl with the messed up teeth who flew all over the country with her mother to go to the different auditions and always missed them, but she finally got to audition at the last one and she was HORRIBLE. Like she was trying to be operatic and fell short of a shower singer. |

| Though it's a rather inane thing to ask could we add more categories to the member profiles? Interests? Hobbies? Favorite kind of music/bands? Secret guilty pleasure?
I think these add templates to better getting to know members than just the randomness people put in their bio section. People like filling out those surveys anyway. What's more would it be possible to make what you type in a link so that you could see who else shares a particular interest or whatever? There probably aren't enough people to make that interesting and I'm sure the coding for that is probably obscure, so that I'm not really asking for, but just putting it out there. |

| I'm not sure what I'll be wearing for Halloween, but there are various things in the Photo Album thread of costumes (and make-up) I've worn recently, that I might cannibalize and throw together.
Last Thursday, when I went to my boyfriend's band (of which I am the photographer)'s gig which was also a costume party, I wore my Renaissance wench garb for faires (as can be seen here. I'm the fat chick on the right) and just went as a pirate wench which matched the drummer's costume as well as that of our merch girl, Kristen. It was funny walking around in that getup since so many people in the area were drunk and wanted to "high-five the pirate girl). My last costume before that was the zombie walk make-up I wore earlier this month (PHOTOS AND JUNK!). Meh, maybe I'll just wear my Labyrinth of Jareth Masquerade outfit with the top hat and peacock plumage again and do a Dia de los Muertos number by painting my face. I'm a dork. | I think it would be cool to completely costumize the wallpaper in our profiles, though. I hate to use MySpace as an example as it is so poorly coded, but something like that. It would be pretty neat to have completely personalized profile areas.
But in the matter of questions in the profiles, just simple and basic things like likes, dislikes, hobbies, favorite bands/music, favorite movie, what do you think of Xeo?, favorite drink, favorite book, etc. You know all that crap people love to write about themsvles (i.e. me ). | I've got class tonight, but Zoso and I are thinking about skipping out on it and going to one of the other Halloween events going on all over.
Might end up at the Rocky Horror Picture Show just to hang with friends. Last year I ended up seeing "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" with my friend Emily at the cheap theater and the year before that was just hanging out at the at-the-time castleaders' house watching crappy horror films. I haven't really done anything on Halloween itself in a while. But the rest of the month... well that's a MUCH different story. |

Halloween went about the same as the past two years. Just hung out with friends. It's been like this over the past recent years. We'll all pretty like there's no tomorrow over the weeks preceding and then nothing big happens on the actual day. But my Halloween/harvest/Day of the Dead celebrations in the past month: - Dead Walk L.A.-- Dressed up like zombies and paraded up and down Hollywood Blvd (in Hollywood, of course), scaring the tourists. Pictures, articles, video and junk. - Dia de los Muertos festival in Hollywood Forever cemetary. Now that was a surreal experience, partying in the cemetary with all of these bright, flashing colors and art. Need to post pictures of this too. Se amo Dia de los Muertos. 
- Went to a few Oktoberfest celebrations for the beer harvest. Pictures from one of the festivals. I still need to touch up the pictures from the other ones, but either way doing the chicken dance after doing some heavy drinking is ridiculously amusing. - Three different costume party gigs for my boyfriend (Zoso)'s band, which I'm a photographer for. Two of them were side-by-side, last Thursday and Friday. Becky, the lead singer, went as Wednesday Addams to one held at the Cave 49. I dressed as a wench which, as mentioned before, matched the drummer's pirate costume. People kept coming up to me to compliment me on the costume, which to me is just my regular clothes for faires. I got high-fived by drunk people a lot.
And I didn't see even one Trick-or-Treater this year. Or the year before that now that I think about it. Or the year before... Do Trick-or-Treaters still exist? (Last edited by Rogue on 11-01-06 04:18 PM) |
