| Jason was slightly perturbed as to how someone could take four bullets and seem physically fit, especially since his own gift suppressed that of others.
Taking the hit to the stomach, the teenager gritted his teeth, sure that it would leave a bruise. Assuming Vincent was right handed, the umbrella was in his right (you never dropped it, description boy), as that would be the angel's sword hand. So when Vincent reached across his own body towards Jason's left hand (with his own left hand), he left himself wide open for Jason to swing his hilt right towards the exposed temple of the man. A blow that would stumble any, especially one with four bullets in them. |

| Phoenix sighed, disappointedly confident that his opponent had no idea how to use a sword correctly.
Bending the dome of light used as a shield, Phoenix flattened it until a wall stood before him and the sword. Confident it would buy him the time he needed, Phoenix flew around the wall, giving it a wide birth, and straight towards Vincent. Feeling the energy of the sun enter his opponent, Phoenix allowed the sunlight to absorb into himself as he flew. Simple, really. Vincent was using child's play as an advantage. The ash behind the Angel still gathered into a dark cloud, but even if Vincent saw it, there was no way to know that it was controlled by his foe. Soon, however, he would know. Setting: An arena atop a cloud, 75 foot radius. Phoenix alighted upon the cloud, being sure to keep some distance between himself and the ledge. A fall would most certainly kill him, as he wasn't using his wings from this point on in the fight. Running a hand through light brown hair, Phoenix turned and faced his foe across the expanse of white that was the arena. With a blaze of golden fire, a longsword appeared in the right hand of the immortal, its blade the same color as the fire that gave birth to it. The fire scorched a little, but Phoenix didn't mind. On the contrary, the heat warmed him up for a battle he was looking forward to. He wanted to know what this new fighter had in store. "Are your ready, friend?" | Jason watched as his foe fell to the ground, mortally wounded. Of course, that is all he was at this point. A mortal.
Flipping his blade to point downwards, Jason held the hilt with both hands and brought it down through the unconscious man's chest. His first real kill. Jason was on his way to purging the earth from these freaks one at a time. Wiping the sweat from his brow, Jason withdrew his dripping sword and ran. Sirens rang in the distance, no doubt alerted by concerned citizens in the area. On to the next one. |

Beginning to focus the sun's light himself, Phoenix began to glow bright gold. To any below, these two would like Gods. | Dispersing the bolt of light was a piece of cake. But Phoenix thought it would be more fun to instead turn the energy into heat, and then into fire, turning the attack back onto his foe.
Using that as a distraction, and fully aware his opponent could most likely do the same, Phoenix concentrated an area of ash into a three foot long spike of coal, directly in Vincent's path of flight. With his eyes in Phoenix, it was likely the angel would be impaled unless he looked forward, leaving himself open for another attack. |
