Love and passion together are what make good couples Barring any other complications

Both are important to having a lasting relationship. How much of what really depends on the people involved, but generally, absolutes don't work, so I assume it's fairly safe to say you need a bit of both

Love without passion, well that's family really. Passion without love, that's a lot like short relationships that are more for the fun of it than anything serious.

And the bigger they are, the harder they fall, in many respects. Taking everything in moderation, how fast to sex, etc, is important.

I have some Lesbian friends (Several different couples actually) and I can say that the whole fast to sex thing doesn't mean much really. Some had a bit more free spirit towards it (no risk) Others were really heavily weighed down by morals and personal standards. So it flies both ways on that one in my personal experience knowing people.

And on the flip side, I know some straight people, male and female, who would screw anything decent to come their way So to say one's more than the other really depends on who you know and what groups you associate with in different ways I'd say.

Well, it's good that you know homosexual people who restrain themselves.

My one friend isn't too bad, though he get's a little....cuddly...with guys who are straight. Like me.

Passion, Intimacy (trust, not sex), and Commitment are the three components of love, which combines in various ways to form the seven types of love. This is known as Sternberg's Triangle

Consumate Love posseses all three traits, and that is what we seem to be referring to when we talk about sex with someone you love. The one that comes closest to that would be Romantic Love (passion and initmacy only), which is what many couples experience, esspecially young people. Of course, this can also be considered the type of love that leads to the "slut" classification, along with Infatuated Love, which is just passion.

And that is my nerd rant for the day.

Hey Elara, kinda being a little off-topic (Well, maybe makura can answer more, I saw her pic of her custom title and I HAD to ask this question )

How much do you know about Chakra (Not the naruto bullshit, I mean it as some type of bodly balance in human nature )

One of my cast members brought me a book to check out one day and I noticed that there was a Sex drive chakra. In Makura's custom title, its the little light around the genital area of the human body.

The little red light here. I know thats a Sexual Chakra or something like that

Was wondering if you, or Makura, could possiably share some info on that?

I know it seems weird of me asking. But like the book I read, I think that Sex is a part of a balance.

I'm not exactly sure about the specifics, but supposedly the lower the chakra the more we need to satisfy what it represents (Keep in mind I'm trying to pull all this from memories of my non-Western philosophy class last semester).

Think of it like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Maslow%27s_hierarchy_of_needs.png

Supposedly practicing zazen or meditation help align these chakras and help you to rise toward the top of the needs you satisfy.

According to many Eastern philosophy scholars, most Americans only try to fulfill the bottom two (sex and security), hence why our government is so concerned with "homeland security" and such.

Did that really answer anything?

Here's a much more in-depth set of charts: http://www.astramate.com/chakras.htm
