| So I finally ate something today.
Went through buying-an-alternator hell most of the day. Yet another day has gone by that stuff I ordered online a week ago haven't arrived yet. Ho-hum. Am listening to The Killers and drinking a Coke. Truly, The Killers are the only indie/scene ("scindie" if you will) band I like these days. I just can't get into most emo. Now the music's switched to Davy Dee, Dozy, Beaky Mick and Tich's "Hold Tight." <3. Should probably do homework some time. Nah, I'll do it later. 5-minutes-before-class later. Will add to the Heroes RP some time tonight. I swear. Seriously. Just need to figure out what my little Cally is doing. Well, off to Wal*Mart with the boyfriend person to buy a step-ladder. Perhaps will watch Highlander tonight. Or Blues Brothers. Or the rest of Rumble in the Bronx since Brandon's never seen it before. Mental note: send transcripts. So my February looks okay, except that I have a cold. Which makes P.E suck, and makes homework hard. |

In the meantime, my aunt said last week that she had spoken with a "prophet" who told her that a volcano was going to erupt somewhere on the western part of the country today and California was going to get a tsunami. Since then she's been calling my mom to insist that my grandmother stay over for when this all happens so she'd be safe with us. I'll explain a couple things about my aunt--up until about 10 years ago, she wasn't very spiritual, didn't go to church, none of it. Then suddenly she was all up on meeting people who've experienced stigmata, and people who have Virgin Mary statues that are crying rose oil and blood, and kids who "miraculously" see images in rose petals. For a whole summer, her, my mom, and my grandmother dragged my cousin and me out to the desert on the 13th of every month to take pictures of the sun and listen to this girl "speak in tongues" about receiving a message from the Virgin Mary regarding humanity's impending doom. There are many more stories like this. So now she's claiming that we're all (at least California) is imperiled today. *Looks outside. Ground's not underwater. House and neighborhood intact. Annoying, lesbian neighbor still gossiping with whomever will listen, or at least pretend to.* Oh noes, doesn't look all that safe out there.

| Just got word from my aunt--the "prophet" and his disciples fled to Utah. Supposedly claiming they'd be safe from those tsunamis were going to get Wednesday (which by the way never came).
Seems fishy. EDIT: FUCK!! I'm getting tired of this bullshit trying to transfer into a university. Why the hell do they need my high school AP test scores when I already have those classes taken in college?! Fifteen FUCKING dollars just to send these things to EACH college?! Still need to send in those AP test scores. Lame. Anyway, randomness of the moment. Movies sitting next to my TV: Interview with the Vampire, Hook, Small Soldiers, The 1000-Year-Old Man, Mulan, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, the Red Dwarf Smeg Ups tape, the Red Dwarf Smeg Outs tape, Stephen Lynch Live at the El Rey, Mallrats, Being John Malkovich, Sky Pirates, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Bug Buster, The Projectionist, Shadow of the Vampire, and a bunch of random recordings (Man with the Screaming Brain recording off the Sci-Fi channel, etc). Where I keep my spare change: In a giant cappuccino cup. Nearest thing to me outside of my computer, keyboard, mouse and desk: Hindu fingerpuppets and an Oktoberfest stein half-full of Mountain Dew. The color of the lamp in front of me: Silver. The color of my wall: Purplish. The color of the pajama pants I'm wearing: Red and brown plaid. Where my phone is: On my desk. Its default ringtone: "Seven Deadly Sins"--Flogging Molly Its wallpaper: A close-up picture of this creepy arcade puppet named Laffing Sal. Took it in San Francisco last month. Its color: Silver. |
