Its basically X-Men Legends 1 and 2, more well polished and with a much better cast of characters to choose from.

Although I have noticed that the 360 version (the one I got) doesn't seem to have the nicest graphics. Character models are most definitely improved from the PS2, PSP, etc versions probably, but other than that it doesn't really look too next gen. But oh well, that's not why I bought it!

The awesome thing about the 360 version is online co-op, up to 4 players (Although I'm not sure if its something you can jump in and out of at any time like Gears of War). Co-op was definitely what made the Legends games fun, and its still the case here.

So yeah, I really haven't played much, but its easily a great party game, and if you liked the X-Men Legends games you'd more than likely really enjoy this.

Playable characters (I'm not sure if people would get mad to know this?)

*cough*

Anyways, I got this game for Wii. I think the tacked on Wii controls make it last a little longer, although they are a weee bit buggy (or should I say a wiiii bit buggy). Basically you steer with the Nunchuk joystick. C is jump and Z is block/action. You can also shake the Nunchuck instead of using Z. You shake the Wiimote for the basic attack, swipe for a trip attack, up for a pop up, down for a stun, forward for knockback. You can also press A to attack (which you pretty much only use).

For super attacks you hold B and then do any of those actions. You can also use the D-Pad up and down while holding B to select a super attack, and then just press A to use it. Since there are no motions for buffs/xtreme attacks, so I'll either leave it on those, or one whose motion is a little difficult to get right.

That is the major problem. Sometimes it gets the motions confused. Like if you lift, then move down, it may do a down attack.

Another thing that bugs me is that the commercials lied. In the commercial it shows stuff like the guy waving the Nunchuck and Captain America throws his sheild. WRONG. To throw the sheild, you hold B and do a swipe attack. That bugs me.

The best part is camera control. You tilt the Nunchuck in the direction you want the camera to turn. Works really well until you try to scratch your nose, then it's wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee (wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii).

Now, away from the Wii review, to the general review.

I loved the first two Legends game, and this one is so much better. I am really glad they made flying not cost energy. My biggest complaint is that the characters will use their Xtreme attacks on their own. WHY?! They'll do it when there is only 1 or 2 guys. Pisses me off.

But the 6 pre rendered cutscenes are some of the most beautiful things I have seen. I'll try to find them online.

And Xeo, you can hop in and out. It's even got 2 modes. The first is Co-Op, where it's just like 1 player, but with 2 people. The other is Arcade, where there is only one character per player, and it keeps track of all the kills/damage/etc, and awards the 'Best Hero' award at the end. Co-Op is better.

Oh hell yes. I love that guy.

I guess I'll rent it out for Wii once Wii rentals arrive. I really don't want to buy it, as I'm aiming for other stuff, and am not sure I will enjoy it, seeing as I was "meh" towards the X-Men legends games.
