So Windows was being a bitch as always (couldn't get my IP)

So I hit repair. Lags as fuck, as usual.

Reboot, still not connected. Hit repair.

Works.

I think I tried to use it about 20 times in the past and never worked.

No real point to this thread, expect problem your own experiences with stuff like this.

(oh and success dialog is actually broken, I hit cancel (only button there was) and it didn't close)

I rarely use repair network connection. I use the command prompt and ipconfig -release ipconfig -renew. I do have a problem at college with my ip conflicting at times even though the ip addresses are dynamically assigned. When that happens, I can't fix it myself, only the IT department can by reseting the network router/hub.
